Abstract

Purpose of the study: Micro-learning has gained increasing attention as an effective instructional approach for delivering concise and focused learning content, particularly in teacher education. However, its application in Physical Education Teacher Training (PETT) remains limited, especially in addressing the integration of cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skill development. The integration of motion capture (MoCap) technology offers new opportunities to enhance embodied learning through real-time biomechanical feedback and interactive visualization. This study aimed to develop MoCap-integrated micro-learning content for PETT and to examine its effects on cognitive outcomes, psychomotor performance, learner satisfaction, and engagement. Materials and methods: A quasi-experimental design was conducted with 80 PETT students (mean age = 23.5 years) from an Indonesian public university. Participants were randomly assigned to an experimental group (MoCap-based micro-learning) or a control group (traditional micro-learning). The intervention lasted eight weeks, with weekly sessions of 15–20 minutes. Cognitive knowledge, psychomotor performance, learner satisfaction, and engagement were assessed using validated instruments. Data were analyzed using independent and paired-samples t-tests and Pearson correlation analysis. Results: The experimental group demonstrated significantly higher post-test scores in cognitive knowledge, psychomotor performance, learner satisfaction, and engagement compared to the control group (p < 0.001). Strong positive correlations were found between MoCap-based engagement and learning outcomes (r = 0.68–0.74). Learning gains were substantially greater in the experimental group across all measured domains. Conclusions: MoCap-enhanced micro-learning significantly improves cognitive and psychomotor outcomes while increasing learner engagement and satisfaction in PETT. This approach effectively bridges the gap between theoretical understanding and practical skill execution, highlighting its potential as an innovative and scalable model for IT-based physical education teacher training.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students on the backward roll material are an obstacle in floor gymnastics material for Physical Education learning, based on the dominance of conventional approaches that do not involve student activities. Therefore, an innovative learning model is needed that can increase student involvement in learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on backward roll learning outcomes at SDN 31 Ambacang. The method used is a quasi-experimental with a One-Group Pretest–Posttest design, 13 students were involved. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test, followed by descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed an increase in the average score from 67.23 in the pre-test to 87.31 in the post-test with an N-Gain value of 61.35% which is in the medium to high category. These findings indicate that the implementation of PjBL is effective in improving learning outcomes, encouraging active involvement, collaboration, and reflection of students in the learning process. This study has design limitations due to the lack of a control group and a relatively small sample size, which limits generalizability. Future research is recommended to use an experimental design with a comparison group and involve a larger sample size to obtain more comprehensive results.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh strategi pembelajaran rangkaian permainan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan gerak. Strategi Pembelajaran Rangkaian Permainan yang menyenangkan dan kompetitif diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan motivasi belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan penelitian eksperimen dengan analisis data Anova 2 arah untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain faktorial 2 x 2. Jumlah populasi 70 anak dan sampel 36 anak.  Hasil penelitian ini terdapat perbedaan antara strategi pembelajaran rangkaian permainan dengan strategi pembelajaran konvensional, terdapat perbedaan antara laki-laki dan Perempuan, terdapat interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan jenis kelamin, terdapat perbedaan strategi pembelajaran rangkaian permainan (laki-laki) dengan strategi pembelajaran konvensional (laki-laki), terdapat perbedaan strategi pembelajaran rangkaian permainan (perempuan) dengan strategi pembelajaran konvensional (perempuan). Jadi kesimpulannya adalah Strategi Pembelajaran Rangkaian Permainan untuk anak laki-laki atau perempuan sama-sama memberikan pengaruh yang tinggi terhadap peningkatan keterampilan gerak dasar dibandingkan strategi pembelajaran konvensional. Penggunaan strategi pembelajaran rangkaian permainan sangat penting dan berdampak baik dalam proses pembelajaran gerak dasar anak usia dini. Setiap guru TK dapat menerapkan strategi pembelajaran rangkaian permainan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan gerak dasar

Abstract

ABC running merupakan latihan dasar yang penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas gerak lari, khususnya pada lari gawang yang menuntut koordinasi, kecepatan, dan efisiensi gerak tinggi. Dalam kajian biomekanika olahraga, analisis terhadap pola gerak tubuh, sudut sendi, serta distribusi gaya selama fase lari menjadi penting untuk memahami efisiensi mekanik dari suatu teknik gerakan. Namun, kesalahan teknik masih sering terjadi sehingga diperlukan analisis biomekanika guna memahami karakteristik gerak secara objektif serta mencegah penurunan performa dan risiko cedera. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis gerak ABC running pada atlet lari gawang Universitas Negeri Padang dari aspek biomekanika. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Sampel dipilih melalui purposive sampling pada atlet lari gawang Unit Kegiatan Atletik sebanyak 5 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan perekaman video, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak Kinovea untuk mengkaji sudut sendi, fase gerak, dan koordinasi tubuh. Analisis dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif sederhana berdasarkan prinsip biomekanika. Hasil analisis kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa sudut fleksi panggul kaki ayun mencapai ±90°, sudut fleksi lutut kaki ayun sebesar ±69°, sudut ekstensi lutut kaki depan sekitar ±47°, serta sudut fleksi lutut kaki belakang sekitar ±46° pada fase flight phase gerakan menyerupai hurdle step dalam latihan teknik lari gawang. Hasil menunjukkan sebagian besar atlet telah menguasai pola dasar ABC running dengan cukup baik, namun masih terdapat ketidaksesuaian teknik pada fase ayunan kaki, posisi tubuh, dan koordinasi lengan. Disimpulkan bahwa analisis biomekanika efektif menggambarkan kualitas teknik atlet. Keterbatasan penelitian ini terletak pada jumlah sampel yang masih terbatas, sehingga penelitian selanjutnya perlu melibatkan sampel yang lebih banyak. Hasil analisis ini juga dapat dimanfaatkan pelatih untuk melakukan koreksi teknik dan evaluasi latihan secara berkala guna meningkatkan performa serta meminimalkan risiko cedera.

Abstract

Low forward roll proficiency among students is often caused by limited instructional approaches that rely on verbal explanations and demonstrations, making it difficult to understand movement sequences. This study aimed to examine the effect of the Augmented Reality-based SenAR learning model on students’ forward roll skills. A quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group design was used, involving 68 university students aged 18–20 years. Participants were divided into experimental and control groups. Forward roll performance was assessed using a structured performance rubric. The experimental group received SenAR-based training, while the control group used conventional methods. Data were analyzed using independent t-test after normality and homogeneity assumptions were met. Results showed a significant difference between groups (p < 0.001), with the experimental group achieving higher post-test scores (M = 38.24) than the control group (M = 35.03). These findings suggest that SenAR improves students’ movement understanding and execution. However, the short intervention duration and limited sample should be considered in interpreting the results.

Abstract

Backward roll ability remains a major obstacle in gymnastics learning for children aged 11-12 years. Difficulty performing this movement stems from limited coordination, physical strength, and fear. This situation highlights the need for learning innovations that can increase children's engagement and motivation. One potential solution is the use of a Game-Based Learning approach, a learning model that integrates game elements into the movement learning process. This study aims to analyze the effect of game-based learning on backward roll ability in children aged 11-12 years. This study used a quasi-experimental research design with a posttest-only control design. Participants consisted of elementary school children divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data were collected using a gymnastics ability assessment instrument and analyzed using descriptive statistics and an independent sample t-test. The results showed that children in the experimental group performed better than those in the control group. These findings suggest that game-based learning can increase children's engagement and provide a more effective and enjoyable movement learning experience. This approach has the potential to be an innovative strategy to improve the quality of gymnastics learning in elementary schools.
