Abstract

Kemampuan membaca dan menulis merupakan keterampilan dasar yang harus dikuasai siswa sekolah dasar sebagai fondasi keberhasilan belajar. Namun, pada kenyataannya masih terdapat siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengembangkan kedua kemampuan tersebut sehingga diperlukan metode pembelajaran yang tepat dan inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode bimbingan klasikal berbantuan media gambar dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan menulis siswa kelas II SDN 5 Taliwang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pra-eksperimen one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas II SDN 5 Taliwang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes kemampuan membaca dan menulis yang diberikan sebelum perlakuan pretest dan setelah perlakuan posttest. Analisis data menggunakan uji hipotesis One Sample T-Test dan Paired Sample T-Test berbantuan program SPSS dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil uji One Sample T-Test menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi pretest sebesar 0,001 < 0,05 dan posttest sebesar 0,005 < 0,05. Selain itu, hasil uji Paired Sample T-Test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,001 < 0,05, sehingga Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode bimbingan klasikal berbantuan media gambar efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan menulis siswa kelas II SDN 5 Taliwang. Metode ini membantu siswa memahami materi secara lebih konkret serta meningkatkan motivasi dan keaktifan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka menekankan pembelajaran kontekstual serta berbasis pada konteks budaya lokal, namun pemahaman konsep IPA peserta didik sekolah dasar masih tergolong rendah karena materi yang diajarkan cenderung bersifat abstrak dan kurang dikaitkan dengan pengalaman nyata peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bahan ajar berbasis etnosains terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA peserta didik kelas IV di SDN 37 Cakranegara pada materi gaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi-eksperimental tipe nonequivalent control group dengan melibatkan 50 peserta didik yang terbagi dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-test dan post-test, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji independent sample t-test setelah memenuhi uji prasyarat yaitu normalitas dan homogenitas. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai thitung (3.501) > ttabel (1.677) dan nilai sig. (2-tailed) < 0,05 yaitu 0,001 < 0,05 sehingga menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, dengan rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis etnosains berpengaruh positif terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA peserta didik. Secara teoretis, hasil penelitian ini mendukung pendekatan konstruktivisme yang menekankan pentingnya konteks budaya dalam pembelajaran, serta secara praktis memberikan alternatif inovasi bahan ajar IPA di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

HIV and malaria co-infection poses a significant public health challenge in Papua, Indonesia, where high HIV prevalence overlaps with persistent malaria endemicity. Their biological interaction worsens clinical outcomes and complicates transmission. This study develops a deterministic mathematical model using nonlinear differential equations to describe HIV--malaria co-infection dynamics, tailored to Papua's epidemiology. The model includes coupled human and vector compartments and is analyzed through disease-free and endemic equilibria. The basic reproduction number $R_0$ is derived using the next-generation matrix method and its sensitivity is assessed using normalized forward sensitivity indices to identify key parameters affecting transmission. The results show that the HIV transmission rate ($\beta_H$), the mosquito bite rate ($b_M$), and the malaria transmission from humans to mosquitoes ($\beta_V$) increase the most strongly $R_0$, while the progression of HIV to AIDS ($\alpha_1$), malaria-induced mortality ($\delta_M$), and vector mortality ($\mu_V$) reduce it. Numerical simulations based on realistic initial conditions for Papua indicate that the system reaches a stable equilibrium when interventions target the most sensitive parameters. These findings provide a mathematical foundation for integrated control strategies, emphasizing reduced human--vector contact, suppression of HIV transmission, and effective vector control. The model enriches biomathematics research on co-infection dynamics and supports evidence-based policymaking for managing dual epidemics in regions like Papua.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed ethoscience-based Snakes and Ladders game. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) based on the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), with the research subjects being 29 fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Mekarsari. The results of this study indicate that the ethnoscience-based snakes and ladders game is highly valid, with a 95% agreement rate from subject matter experts and a 91% agreement rate from media experts. Regarding the practicality of the game, student response surveys in small groups yielded a score of 97.77%, while those in large groups scored 85.58%; teacher responses scored 95%, meeting the criteria for a very positive rating. The effectiveness of the media was demonstrated by an N-gain score of 0.76, with a percentage of 76.37%, which falls into the high category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the ethnoscience-based snakes and ladders game developed is valid, practical, and effective for use in IPAS learning on the topic of forces around us.

Abstract

The low level of mathematical problem-solving ability among elementary school students remains a challenge in improving the quality of mathematics learning. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the mathematical problem-solving ability of fourth-grade students at SDN 4 Kuranji. The research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population and sample consisted of all 30 fourth-grade students. The instrument used was a mathematical problem-solving test based on four indicators proposed by Polya. Data were collected through pretest and posttest, then analyzed using normality testing, hypothesis testing, and N-Gain score calculation. The results showed that the average pretest score of 28.47 increased to 76.67 in the posttest. The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed, with significance values of 0.526 for the pretest and 0.365 for the posttest (> 0.05). The hypothesis test yielded a significance value of 0.001 (< 0.05), indicating a significant effect after the implementation of the PBL model. The N-Gain score of 0.677 was categorized as moderate. Therefore, the Problem Based Learning model has a positive and effective impact on improving students’ mathematical problem-solving ability.
