Abstract

The public satisfaction index value for the services of the Kijang Class III Port Authority and Harbormaster Office, Riau Islands, is in the poor category, due to customer satisfaction issues related to service quality, employee competence, information technology utilization, and complaint handling. This mixed-methods study aims to examine the relationship between competence, information technology utilization, and complaint handling on customer satisfaction in the intervening period. Service quality. It was concluded that competence, complaint handling, and service quality had a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, competence and complaint handling had a significant positive effect on service quality. Then, the use of information technology had a positive but insignificant effect on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, complaint handling did not have a significant positive effect on service quality. Then, service quality was able to intervene in the influence of competence and information technology utilization in a significant positive way on customer satisfaction, but was unable to intervene in the influence of complaint handling on customer satisfaction. It is recommended to the leadership elements of the agency, among others, to optimize the condition of the technology infrastructure and create a training program to improve the basic skills of officers in using technology in communicating information to customers and prioritize the main targets of service performance to be oriented towards optimizing complaint handling.

Abstract

The performance achievement of employees in the Karimun Regency Districts was not achieved according to the target, due to employee dissatisfaction, competence, excellent service and the application of management information systems. This mixed-method study aimed to determine the role of job satisfaction on competence, excellent service and the application of management information systems on employee performance. It was concluded that competence and positive job satisfaction significantly determine employee performance. Excellent service and the application of management information systems do not significantly determine employee performance. Furthermore, competence, excellent service and the application of management information systems positively and significantly determine job satisfaction. Then job satisfaction is able to intervene positively significantly with perfect determination of competence, excellent service and the application of management information systems on employee performance. This means that competence and satisfaction have a significant impact on employee performance. At the same time, excellent service and the application of management information systems have not had a significant impact. Furthermore, competence, excellent service and the application of management information systems have a significant impact on job satisfaction. Then job satisfaction can perfectly strengthen the influence of excellent service and the application of management information systems on employee performance, but competence can be partially strengthened.

Abstract

The performance achievement of Bapenda Karimun employees is not optimal, indicated by the performance targets on indicators to increase the value of Government Agency Performance Accountability and the growth of Regional Original Income in 2022 and 2024 cannot be achieved according to the target, due to employee competency issues, suboptimal supervision, limitations of the management information system and the quality of public services not being achieved according to the target. This mixed-method research aims to examine the influence of Supervision, Management Information System and Service Quality on Performance with Employee Competence as a Moderator in the Regional Revenue Agency of Karimun Regency. It was concluded that supervision and competence had a significant positive effect on employee performance, but management information systems and service quality had a negative but insignificant effect. Then supervision, management information system and service quality had a significant positive effect on competence. Furthermore, supervision and service quality in competency moderation had a significant negative effect on employee performance. At the same time, the management information system in competency moderation had a positive but insignificant effect. It is recommended to the leadership elements in the Regional Revenue Agency of Karimun Regency, among others, to prioritize improving the condition of infrastructure facilities and management information system resources in order to maximize public understanding of the function and benefits of land and building taxes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe how the influence of professionalism in managing village assets, optimizing the use of village assets and empowering the community so that it contributes to increasing village original income. The type of data used in this research is quantitative data. The data source in this research is secondary data. The object of this research is Kuala Sempang Village, Seri Kuala Lobam District, Bintan Regency. The results showed that the professionalism of village asset management had no significant effect on village original income, the optimization of the village assets utilization had a significant positive effect on village original income and community empowerment had no significant effect on village original income. So, in this study from the three variables only one variable has a significant positive effect on the village's original income.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of emotional intelligence, human relations and leadership style on employee performance in Loka Rehabilitasi BNN Batam. The research method used in this research is quantitative method. The population in this study were all employees at the agency totaling 90 people, with a sample size of 74 people. The data used in this study are primary data, namely by using a questionnaire made with a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques are quantitative data analysis techniques using statistical methods. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that emotional intelligence had a positive and significant effect on employee performance variables, human relations had a positive and significant effect on employee performance variables, leadership style had a positive and significant effect on employee performance variables.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of work facilities, work environment and transformational leadership on organizational commitment through job satisfaction as an intervening variable for the employees of the Environment and Forestry Office of the Riau Islands Province. The sample used is 129 respondents from 129 employees. The sampling technique used is census. The method used in this study uses quantitative research and the type of research used is explanatory research or explanation. The data analysis method used is the structural equation model (SEM-PLS).Based on the data analysis, it was found that the direct effect of Work Facilities on Organizational Commitment was positive and not significant. The direct effect of work environment on organizational commitment is positive and significant. The direct effect of Transformational Leadership on Organizational Commitment is negative and insignificant. The direct effect of Job Facilities on Job Satisfaction is positive and not significant. The direct effect of the work environment on job satisfaction is positive and significant. The direct effect of Transformational Leadership on Job Satisfaction is positive and significant. The direct effect of job satisfaction on organizational commitment is positive and significant. The indirect effect between Work Facilities on Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction as an intervening variable is positive and not significant. The indirect effect between Work Environment on Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction as an intervening variable is positive and significant. The indirect effect between Transformational Leadership on Organizational Commitment and Job Satisfaction as an intervening variable is positive and significant.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of education level, years of service and information technology on service quality and job satisfaction as an intervening variable for village officials on Kundur Island, Karimun Regency. The method used was a questionnaire and distributed to 122 respondents. statistical data analysis using SEM PLS (structuralequation modellingpartial least squares) and using path analysis to examine the pattern of the relationship between the influence of the dependent and independent variables, both direct and indirect effects with smart pls 3.0 software. The research results showeducation level has a direct effect on job satisfaction with a p-value of 0.000, tenure has an indirect effect on job satisfaction with a p-value of 0.658, information technology education level has a direct effect on job satisfaction with a p-value of 0.000, job satisfaction has a direct effect on service quality with a p-value of 0.001, education level has a direct effect on service quality with a p-value of 0.008, tenure has a direct effect on service quality with a p-value of 0.009, information technology has a direct effect on service quality with a p-value of 0.018 , job satisfaction mediates the relationship between education level and service quality with a p-value of 0.009 <0.05,Job satisfaction mediates the relationship between tenure and service quality with a p-value of 0.006 <0.05, and job satisfaction mediates the relationship between information technology and service quality with a p-value of 0.004 <0.05.
