Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine: 1) the magnitude of the influence of using the Quizizz application on student learning motivation; 2) the great influence of parental attention on student learning motivation; 3) the big influence of using the quizizz application and parental attention together on student learning motivation. The method used in this research is a quantitative research method. The population was all 250 students of class Data was collected using a closed questionnaire with 56 items. The results of data analysis show that: 1) the calculated F value > F table between the principal's Innovative leadership on Teacher Work Motivation is 17.954 > 3.15, thus it is known that there is an influence between the principal's Innovative leadership on the Work Motivation of Public High School Teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Bangko Pusako is 25.7%, 2) the calculated F value > F table between the use of the Quizizz application and parental attention to student learning motivation, namely 27.811 > 3.15, thus it is known that there is an influence between the use of the Quizizz application and parental attention to learning motivation. Bangko Pusako 1 Public High School students are 34.8%, 3) the calculated F value > F table influences the use of the Quizizz application and parental attention on student learning motivation, namely 16.654 > 3.15, thus it is known that there is use of the Quizizz application and parental attention. Regarding the Learning Motivation of Bangko Pusako 1 Public High School Students, it is 39.5%, thus Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are 1) to determine the effect of giving reinforcement by Christian Religious Education Teachers on the learning outcomes of Christian Religious Education and Budi Pekerti Class IX Students of SMP N 1 Palipi in the 2023/2024 Learning Year; 2) to determine the effect of giving reinforcement by Counseling Guidance Teachers on the learning outcomes of Christian Religious Education and Budi Pekerti Class IX Students of SMP N 1 Palipi in the 2023/2024 Learning Year; 3) to determine the effect of giving reinforcement by Christian Religious Education Teachers and Counseling Guidance Teachers together on the Learning Outcomes of Christian Religious Education and Budi Pekerti Class IX Students of SMP N 1 Palipi in the 2023/2024 Learning Year. The method used in this research is inferential quantitative method with expo-facto correlation model. The population is all ninth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Palipi in the 2023/2024 Learning Year, totaling 160 people and a sample of 40 people was determined using random sampling technique. Data were collected with a closed questionnaire of 32 items. The results of data analysis show that: 1) the value of F count> F table between the Strengthening of Christian Religious Education Teachers on Student Learning Outcomes of Christian Religious Education and Budi Pekerti Students is 14.849> 3.23, thus it is known that there is an influence between the Strengthening of Christian Religious Education Teachers on Student Learning Outcomes of Christian Religious Education and Budi Pekerti Students, namely 28, 1%, 2) the value of F count> F table between the Giving of Strengthening the Counseling Guidance Teacher on the Learning Outcomes of Christian Religious Education and Budi Pekerti Students, namely 14.651> 3.23, thus it is known that there is an influence of the Giving of Strengthening the Counseling Guidance Teacher on the Learning Outcomes of Christian Religious Education and Budi Pekerti Students, namely 27, 8%, 3) the value of F count> F table between the Strengthening of Christian Religious Education Teachers and the Strengthening of Counseling Guidance Teachers on the Learning Outcomes of Christian Religious Education and Budi Pekerti Students, namely 10.569> 3.23, thus it is known that there is an influence of the Strengthening of Christian Religious Education Teachers and the Strengthening of Counseling Guidance Teachers on the Learning Outcomes of Christian Religious Education and Budi Pekerti Students in Class IX SMP N 1 Palipi Learning Year 2023/2024 which is 36.4%, thus Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of kinetic sand playing media on the fine motoric aspects of children aged 5-6 years at Pelangi Kasih Siborongborong Kindergarten, North Tapanuli Regency. The method used in this research is a descriptive quantitative research method. The population was all children aged 5-6 years at Pelangi Kasih Siborongborong Kindergarten, North Tapanuli Regency, totaling 54 people and a sample of 20 people was determined using a non-probability sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. Data was collected using a 25-item positive closed questionnaire. The results of data analysis show that there is a positive influence between kinetic sand playing media on the fine motoric aspects of children aged 5-6 years at Pelangi Kasih Siborongborong Kindergarten, North Tapanuli Regency: 1) Analysis requirements test: a) positive relationship test obtained rxy = 0.599 > rtable(=0.05,n=20) = 0.444, thus it is known that there is a positive influence between variable dk=n-2=18)= 2.101, thus there is a significant influence between variable Y ̂="23","22"+0.78X. Thus Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of integrating the Student Team Achi-evement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model with the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) method on the practical spiritual values (honesty, responsibility, and disci-pline) of class XII Christian students at SMAN 1 Siantar Narumonda, Toba Re-gency. Amidst the moral crisis of Society 5.0, where traditional teacher-centered Christian Religious Education (PAK) fails to translate theology into ethics, this quantitative quasi-experimental study adopted a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. A sample of 80 students was divided equally into experimental (STAD+TPS) and control (conventional) groups. Data collected via validated 50-item Likert scales were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The statistical analysis showed that: (1) The STAD model (X1) significantly influences spiritual values (tcount 4.875 > ttable 1.683, p = 0.000); (2) The TPS method (X2) significantly in-fluences spiritual values (tcount 3.942 > ttable 1.683, p = 0.001); (3) Simultaneous-ly, STAD and TPS have a substantial and significant effect on students’ spiritual values (Fcount 34.620 > Ftable 3.25, p = 0.000). The coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.633, indicating a 63.3% contribution to spiritual character development. The pedagogical implication suggests that combining structural external com-mitment (STAD) with internal cognitive reflection (TPS) facilitates transformative education, turning the classroom into a socio-spiritual laboratory where studen-ts actively live out their faith.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh inte-grasi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) dan metode Think-Pair-Share (TPS) terhadap nilai-nilai spiritual praktis (kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan disiplin) siswa Kristen kelas XII di SMAN 1 Si-antar Narumonda, Kabupaten Toba. Di tengah disrupsi moral era Society 5.0, pola pembelajaran konvensional satu arah pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Aga-ma Kristen (PAK) sering kali gagal mentransformasikan teologi menjadi tindak-an etis. Penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen semu ini menerapkan Non-Equivalent Control Group Design dengan sampel 80 siswa yang terbagi secara merata ke da-lam kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket skala Likert 50 butir yang tervalidasi dan dianalisis menggunakan regre-si linear berganda melalui SPSS. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan: (1) Model STAD (X1) secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai spiritual (thitung 4,875 > ttabel 1,683, p = 0,000); (2) Metode TPS (X2) secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai spiritual (thitung 3,942 > ttabel 1,683, p = 0,001); (3) Seca-ra simultan, integrasi STAD dan TPS berpengaruh masif dan signifikan terhadap nilai spiritual (Fhitung 34,620 > Ftabel 3,25, p = 0,000). Nilai koefisien determina-si (R2) sebesar 0,633 menunjukkan kontribusi kedua variabel tersebut adalah 63,3% terhadap perkembangan spiritualitas siswa. Implikasi teo-pedagogisnya menunjukkan bahwa menyinergikan komitmen struktural luar (STAD) dengan kontemplasi kognitif batin (TPS) efektif menciptakan pendidikan transformatif yang memanifestasikan iman dalam tindakan nyata sehari-hari.

Abstract

Perilaku moral anak merupakan bagian penting dalam pembentukan karakter Kristen sejak usia dini. Pembentukan perilaku moral anak dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, di antaranya pelayanan ibadah Sekolah Minggu dan pola asuh orang tua yang berperan dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai moral dan spiritual dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelayanan ibadah Sekolah Minggu terhadap perilaku moral anak, pengaruh pola asuh orang tua terhadap perilaku moral anak, serta pengaruh pelayanan ibadah Sekolah Minggu dan pola asuh orang tua secara simultan terhadap perilaku moral anak Sekolah Minggu HKBP Resort Batang Toru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional kausal. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 213 anak Sekolah Minggu Horong 2 dan Horong 3 di HKBP Resort Batang Toru, dengan sampel sebanyak 68 anak yang ditentukan menggunakan rumus Slovin dan teknik proportional stratified random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik, korelasi Spearman Rank, regresi linear sederhana, dan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelayanan ibadah Sekolah Minggu berpengaruh positif dan sangat signifikan terhadap perilaku moral anak dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,948 dan nilai F hitung sebesar 358,193. Pola asuh orang tua juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku moral anak dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,838 dan nilai F hitung sebesar 146,990. Secara simultan, pelayanan ibadah Sekolah Minggu dan pola asuh orang tua berpengaruh positif dan sangat signifikan terhadap perilaku moral anak dengan nilai R sebesar 0,925 dan R Square sebesar 0,855, yang menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel mampu menjelaskan 85,5% variasi perilaku moral anak. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sinergi antara pelayanan gereja dan pola asuh keluarga memiliki peran yang kuat dalam pembentukan perilaku moral anak Sekolah Minggu.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine 1) the extent to which the implementation of the principal's clinical supervision influences the work motivation of teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Adiankoting; 2) the extent to which the implementation of the principal's clinical supervision influences the performance of teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Adiankoting; and 3) the effect of the principal's clinical supervision on the work motivation and performance of teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Adiankoting. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a causal approach. The population is 30 teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Adiankoting, and this study is a population study determined using a saturated sampling technique. The instrument trial was conducted on 30 people outside the research sample so that it was known that all research instruments were declared valid and reliable because they had met the criteria for validity and reliability values. Data were collected with a closed questionnaire of 217 items. The results of the data analysis show that: 1) sig. <0.05, namely 0.000 <0.05, thus it is known that there is a positive and significant influence of the implementation of the principal's clinical supervision on teacher work motivation at SMP Negeri 2 Adiankoting; 2) sig. <0.05, namely 0.005 <0.05, thus it is known that there is a positive and significant influence of the implementation of the principal's clinical supervision on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 2 Adiankoting; and 3) sig. <0.05, namely 0.004 <0.05, thus it is known that there is a positive and significant influence of the implementation of the principal's clinical supervision on teacher work motivation and teacher performance at SMP Negeri 2 Adiankoting, thus Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine 1) the effect of spiritual competence on the interest in learning Christian Religious Education of students at SMPN 4 Siak Hulu in the 2025/2026 academic year; 2) the effect of the use of digital learning media on the interest in learning Christian Religious Education of students at SMPN 4 Siak Hulu in the 2025/2026 academic year; and 3) the effect of spiritual competence and the use of digital learning media together on the interest in learning Christian Religious Education of students at SMPN 4 Siak Hulu in the 2025/2026 academic year. The method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative method. The population is all students at SMPN 4 Siak Hulu who are Protestant Christians totaling 431 people and a sample of 65 people is determined, which is 15% of the total population. The instrument trial was conducted on 31 students of SMPN 4 Siak Hulu so that it is known that all research instruments are declared valid and reliable because they have met the criteria for validity and reliability values. Data were collected with a closed questionnaire of 60 items. The results of the data analysis show that: 1) the Fcount value > Ftable is 20.301 > 3.15, thus it is known that there is a positive and significant influence of spiritual competence on the interest in learning Christian Religious Education of students of SMPN 4 Siak Hulu in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The influence is 24.4%; 2) the Fcount value > Ftable is 16.105 > 3.15, thus it is known that there is a positive and significant influence of the use of digital learning media on the interest in learning Christian Religious Education of students of SMPN 4 Siak Hulu in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The influence is 20.4%; and 3) the Fcount value > Ftable is 13.597 > 3.15, thus it is known that there is a positive and significant influence of spiritual competence and the use of digital learning media together on the interest in learning Christian Religious Education of students of SMPN 4 Siak Hulu in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The influence is 30.5%, thus Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the persistence of various character-related problems among senior high school and vocational high school students in Batang Toru District, such as lack of discipline, responsibility, honesty, social awareness, and respect toward teachers and peers. Student character is an important aspect of education that is influenced by various factors, including the exemplary behavior of Christian Religious Education (PAK) teachers and parental parenting styles. This study aimed to determine the influence of PAK teachers’ exemplary behavior on student character, the influence of parental parenting styles on student character, and the simultaneous influence of both variables on the character of senior high school and vocational high school students in Batang Toru District during the 2025/2026 Academic Year. This study employed a quantitative approach using the Ex Post Facto method. The population consisted of 200 students from SMA Negeri 1 Batang Toru, SMK Negeri 1 Batang Toru, and SMK Negeri 2 Batang Toru. The sample comprised 133 students selected using the Slovin formula with a 5% margin of error. Data were collected through questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, simple linear regression, and multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The results of the study showed that: (1) the exemplary behavior of PAK teachers had a positive and significant effect on student character, with a significance value of 0.011 < 0.05 and a regression coefficient of 0.500; (2) parental parenting styles did not have a significant partial effect on student character, with a significance value of 0.480 > 0.05, although the direction of influence was positive with a regression coefficient of 0.108; and (3) the exemplary behavior of PAK teachers and parental parenting styles simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on student character, with an R value of 0.810, an R Square value of 0.656, and an F value of 123.869 with a significance level of < 0.001. The findings indicate that 65.6% of the variation in student character can be explained by the exemplary behavior of PAK teachers and parental parenting styles, while the remaining 34.4% is influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this study. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the exemplary behavior of Christian Religious Education teachers is the most dominant factor influencing student character. Therefore, efforts to improve the quality of teachers’ role-modeling behavior, as well as strengthening the synergy between schools and families, should continue to be developed to support the formation of students who are religious, honest, disciplined, responsible, and socially caring.

Abstract

This article examines the importance of learning among adults as part of lifelong learning and personal, professional, social, and psychological development. Adult learning is often underestimated because learning is commonly associated with children and adolescents. The literature reviewed in this article indicates that adults continue to need opportunities to update knowledge, develop practical skills, improve professional competence, and adapt to social and technological change. The study uses a qualitative literature-study approach by reviewing literature relevant to adult education, adult learning, and lifelong learning. The analysis is organized thematically around the meaning of adulthood, the importance of adult learning, adult-learning characteristics, efforts to improve learning capacity, and factors that influence participation and effectiveness. The review shows that adult learning becomes more meaningful when it is connected with learners’ experience, self-concept, practical needs, and problem-solving orientation. Active learning, appropriate use of technology, supportive learning environments, and lifelong-learning orientation can strengthen adult participation and learning outcomes. Barriers such as limited time, cost, scheduling, transportation, family responsibilities, and psychological factors also need to be considered. The article concludes that adult learning should be viewed as a continuing need and an important investment in individual competence, independence, and quality of life.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were: 1) to determine the influence of Christian Religious Education teachers' teaching styles on the learning motivation of Protestant Christian students in private elementary schools across the Batam Kota District; 2) to determine the influence of interactive learning media on the learning motivation of these students; and 3) to determine the combined influence of Christian Religious Education teachers' teaching styles and interactive learning media on the learning motivation of these students. A descriptive quantitative method was employed. The population consisted of all 115 Protestant Christian students in private elementary schools across the Batam Kota District, all of whom were designated as the research sample. Instrument testing was conducted on 30 fourth- and fifth-grade students from Valentin Batam Elementary School in Lubuk Baja District outside the actual research sample confirming that all research instruments were valid and reliable. Data were collected using a questionnaire comprising 72 positive, closed-ended items. Data analysis results indicated that: 1) the Fcount > Ftable (k;n-2) (2;113) is 71,923 > 3,07 demonstrating a positive and significant influence of Christian Religious Education teachers' teaching styles on student learning motivation, contributing 38,9%); 2) the Fcount > Ftable (k;n-2) (2;113) is 50,282 > 3,07 demonstrating a positive and significant influence of interactive learning media on student learning motivation, contributing 30,8%; and 3) the Fcount > Ftable (k;n-2) (2;113) is 47,217 > 3,07 demonstrating a positive and significant combined influence of teaching styles and interactive learning media on student learning motivation, contributing 45,7%. Consequently, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, and the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected
