Abstract

Competency-based talent development is an important way of managing human resources that can improve the performance of employees in the health sector, especially in regional hospitals. Mamuju District Hospital, which is a health referral center in West Sulawesi, must have competent, professional employees who are able to adapt to changes in the health care system. This study aims to analyze the impact of implementing competency-based talent development on the performance of healthcare workers at Mamuju District Hospital. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Informants involved include hospital leaders, department heads, health workers (including doctors, nurses, and other health workers), and HR management staff. Data collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews, observation, and document study. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of competency- based talent development has a positive impact on improving the performance of health workers, as seen from improvements in service quality, discipline, professional abilities, and teamwork spirit. However, there are still several obstacles, such as limited funds, heavy workloads, and unequal opportunities for competency development. The conclusion of this study confirms that the development of competency-based talent development has a positive impact on improving the performance of health workers at Mamuju District General Hospital.

Abstract

This study examines a comparison of communication theories from Islamic and Western perspectives, with an emphasis on Al-Farabi's thought, particularly in the context of epistemology and ontology in the digital era. Amidst rapid advances in information technology, communication has become a crucial aspect of social and cultural interaction, necessitating an understanding of how each tradition views the communication process. Western communication theory, often rooted in positivist and empirical approaches, emphasizes the technical and functional aspects of communication. In contrast, communication theory in Islam, influenced by spiritual and moral values, emphasizes the importance of intention, ethics, and social context in the communication process. Al-Farabi, as one of the great philosophers who integrated Greek thought with Islamic teachings, made significant contributions to understanding communication as a process that not only involves the exchange of information but also the formation of identity and community. This study uses qualitative analysis methods to explore Al-Farabi's works, including "Al-Madina al-Fadila" and "Risalah Fi al-'Aql," to unearth the epistemological and ontological concepts underlying his communication theory. This research finds that Al-Farabi viewed communication as a bridge connecting the individual with society and God, functioning to achieve happiness and the common good. In the context of the digital era, where information can be spread quickly and widely, Al Farabi's thought offers a relevant perspective for understanding new challenges in communication, such as the spread of fake news and the crisis of trust. The results of this study indicate that although there are fundamental differences between Islamic and Western communication theories, there is potential for them to complement and enrich our understanding of communication in modern society. Thus, this research contributes to the academic discourse on cross cultural communication and provides recommendations for the application of more ethical and sustainable communication values in the digital era. The final results are expected to serve as a reference for academics, practitioners, and policymakers in formulating more effective and value-based communication strategies.

Abstract

Infeksi luka perineum merupakan salah satu komplikasi yang sering terjadi pada masa nifas dan dapat mengganggu proses pemulihan ibu. Salah satu faktor penyebab utama adalah kurangnya perawatan kebersihan daerah genital (vulva hygiene) pascapersalinan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan antara praktik vulva hygiene dengan kejadian infeksi luka perineum pada ibu nifas di rsud sekarwangi kabupaten sukabumi tahun 2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi adalah seluruh ibu nifas dengan luka perineum di RSUD Sekarwangi selama tahun 2024. Sampel diambil secara accidental sampling sebanyak 60 responden. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan kuesioner, dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Dari 60 responden, sebanyak 10 ibu melakukan vulva hygiene dengan baik, di mana 4 orang (40,0%) mengalami infeksi dan 6 orang (60,0%) tidak. Sedangkan 50 ibu lainnya tidak melakukan vulva hygiene dengan baik, dan 39 orang (78,0%) di antaranya mengalami infeksi. Total kasus infeksi luka perineum sebanyak 43 orang (71,7%). Uji Chi-Square menunjukkan nilai signifikansi p = 0,015 (p < 0,05), yang berarti terdapat hubungan signifikan antara vulva hygiene dan kejadian infeksi luka perineum. Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara vulva hygiene dengan infeksi luka perineum. Edukasi dan pendampingan tentang perawatan kebersihan genital perlu ditingkatkan untuk menurunkan risiko infeksi
