Abstract

This research analyzes the implementation of religious teacher leadership in cultivating Islamic ethics at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Gorontalo City. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a phenomenological framework. Data collection involves observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis follows four stages: condensation, coding, categorization, and theorization. The findings reveal that religious teachers can design, organize, guide, and supervise the inculcation of religious teachings, particularly in Islamic jurisprudence, thus emphasizing the manifestation of Islamic ethics, such as dress code, religious traditions, and Islamic interactions. However, the teachers' skills in critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity have yet to integrate the practice of religion within them, both among teachers and students. This research underscores the importance of further studies to unveil comprehensive strategies for realizing Islamic ethics across various dimensions in the context of religious teacher leadership. These strategies should align with the student profile project of "rahmatan lil alamin" and position the practice of religious teachings as a critical leadership competency within the madrasah context.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the role of the Sumbermulyo Village government in improving the economy of the farming community. Qualitative descriptive method with phenomenological approach was used to analyze the data. This research was conducted because the number of people in Sumbermulyo Village who still choose to farm is getting smaller. People are more interested in working as employees in a company, as well as government and private agencies because the agricultural sector is considered unpromising in terms of income. Research shows that the majority of the community, especially youth graduates from high school or equivalent, do not continue their education to college but prefer to work as traders and laborers, as well as company employees outside the region. From this problem, the shift of the farming community from the old one will gradually be replaced by the younger generation. This study concludes that the actual efforts made by the village government have been quite good. However, the competition between the agricultural and industrial sectors in Sumbermulyo Village is quite fierce. This competition can be seen from differences in income, working hours, facilities and prestige which makes many young people prefer other professions than farming. Moreover, parents agree and support the change of profession from parent to child. This study suggests that the village government can anticipate it by providing counseling and training as well as motivating the community that the agricultural sector is one of the most important sectors in improving the economy. Keywords: Village Government, Village Economy, Farmer Community, Village Potential

Abstract

Kata Kunci: Arab Saudi, Iran, Sunni-Syiah, Timur Tengah AbstractThis article aims to analyse the background and dynamics of the conflict between Saudi Arabia (Sunni) and Iran (Shia) in the Middle East. This analysis is needed to see the involvement of the two countries, Saudi Arabia and Iran in realizing the expansion of influence in the Middle East by using an ideological approach. It aims to balance the power of Saudi Arabia and Iran in the Middle East region. This article shows that the Sunni-Shia conflict is based on a power competition motive, not a religious one. The conflict started from the succession of leadership after the death of the Prophet Muhammad, the appointment of Abu Bakr as caliph and the reaction of Fatimah az-Zahra who refused to pledge allegiance to Abu Bakr as the leader of the Muslims who succeeded the Prophet Muhammad. In the contemporary era, Saudi Arabia and Iran play a significant role in the Syria and Yemen conflicts in various ways, such as funding and providing military logistics. The ideological approach has never been separated from the mission carried out by the two countries. Keywords: Saudi Arabia, Iran, Sunni-Shia, Middle East
