Abstract

This study investigates the performance of a photovoltaic-based power conversion and wireless monitoring system designed for small-scale renewable energy applications. The proposed system integrates a DC–AC inverter, closed-loop voltage regulation, and wireless communication using an embedded controller to enable stable power delivery and real-time monitoring. Experimental testing was conducted under varying irradiance and load conditions to evaluate electrical performance, conversion efficiency, dynamic response, and communication behavior. The results show that output power increased proportionally with irradiance, reaching a maximum of 53.27 W at 1000 W/m². The inverter demonstrated stable conversion efficiency in the range of 86.40%–89.11%, with an average efficiency of 87.94%, indicating effective power conversion across different operating conditions. Dynamic response analysis revealed an overdamped behavior with no observable overshoot and voltage ripple below 5%, confirming stable voltage regulation and agreement with the proposed second-order transfer function model. In addition, the wireless monitoring subsystem operated reliably, with Wi-Fi providing lower response time than Bluetooth for real-time control and monitoring purposes. Overall, the experimental results confirm that the proposed system is capable of achieving stable electrical performance, efficient energy conversion, and reliable wireless communication, making it suitable for standalone solar lighting and other small-scale distributed renewable energy applications.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru melalui pendampingan implementasi pembelajaran aktif berbasis case method di SMK Negeri 3 Jeneponto. Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah masih terbatasnya penerapan pembelajaran aktif dan kontekstual oleh guru dalam mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian menggunakan pendekatan pendampingan partisipatif yang melibatkan guru secara aktif melalui tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan meliputi penguatan konsep case method, diskusi kelompok, pendampingan penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran, serta implementasi pembelajaran berbasis kasus di kelas. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam merancang dan menerapkan pembelajaran aktif berbasis case method. Guru mampu menyusun modul ajar dan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) berbasis kasus serta menunjukkan peningkatan kepercayaan diri dalam mengelola pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik. Selain itu, implementasi pembelajaran berbasis kasus berdampak positif terhadap keaktifan dan partisipasi belajar siswa. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah mitra dan mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

The technological utilization gap continues to limit the efficiency and consistency of baking processes in culinary micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This community service program aims to design, implement, and evaluate a smart oven as an appropriate technology for a culinary MSME partner in Malang City, which was purposively selected because it still used a conventional oven. The program implementation included surveys, interviews, problem analysis, training, equipment development, handover, operational assistance, and monitoring. Data were obtained through observation, technical testing, interviews, and documentation and were subsequently analyzed descriptively and comparatively based on temperature stability, baking time, energy consumption, and product success rate. The implementation results showed that the smart oven was able to maintain temperature stability through automatic set-point and time controls, increase baking efficiency by 15–20%, reduce energy consumption by up to 12%, and achieve a product success rate of 98%. These findings indicate that the application of an automatic control system accompanied by operational assistance can improve production process standardization, reduce baking failures, and maintain consistent product quality. This program contributes to providing a replicable model for implementing appropriate technology to strengthen the productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness of local culinary MSMEs.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kualitas pembelajaran mendalam pada mata pelajaran Permesinan Bubut di SMKN 6 Malang, yang ditunjukkan oleh rendahnya kedisiplinan kerja, ketidakteraturan penggunaan alat, serta belum optimalnya penerapan keselamatan kerja dan refleksi proses praktik. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran mendalam melalui penerapan budaya kerja industri yang meliputi 5R/5S, kedisiplinan kerja, keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3), penggunaan SOP, kontrol kualitas benda kerja, dan refleksi praktik. Metode: Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dua siklus dengan tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 32 siswa kelas XI Teknik Pemesinan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, penilaian praktik, angket, jurnal refleksi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat dari 60,09 pada pra-siklus menjadi 74,78 pada siklus I dan 86,78 pada siklus II. Ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 0,00% menjadi 59,38% dan mencapai 100,00% pada siklus II. Keterlaksanaan budaya kerja industri juga meningkat dari 59,20% menjadi 87,30%. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan budaya kerja industri efektif meningkatkan pembelajaran mendalam yang lebih bermakna, disiplin, dan berorientasi standar industri.

Abstract

This community service programme was prompted by the situation faced by students at the Darul Hasanain Islamic Boarding School in Grogolan, Umbulmartani, Ngemplak, Sleman, Yogyakarta, regarding their limited understanding of ethics, particularly among those in the Ula class. The cultivation of ethical values must be carried out gradually and consistently. Most of them still find it difficult to read Arabic texts and interpret them using Javanese. It is this situation that prompted the volunteers to organise a community service programme, utilising the book “Al-Akhlak li Al-Banin Juz I” by Syekh Umar bin Ahmad Barja’ as the primary reference. The community service method employed comprises two stages: the Preparation Stage and the Implementation Stage. The preparation stage covers several aspects, including: preparation of the community service proposal, preparation of materials, and preparation of training facilities and infrastructure. The implementation stage comprises: an initial introduction to the programme and its rules, the commencement of training, the evaluation stage, and the mentoring stage. The findings indicate that the training on the book “Al-Akhlāq li al-Banīn” Volume I for the students at the Darul Hasanain Islamic boarding school has successfully made a significant contribution to enhancing the students’ skills and knowledge regarding the ethics covered in the book. This is evidenced by the students’ pre-test scores, which initially averaged 67,16; following the post-test, their average score rose to 95,75. Another improvement relates to their behaviour and conduct, which have shown a marked improvement following the delivery of this community service programme.

Abstract

Environmental awareness is important for shaping sustainable behavior, and the family, as the first educator, plays a role in instilling environmental values and habits. This study aims to analyze the influence of family education and environmental habits on college students' environmental consciousness. The study used a quantitative correlational design with a sample of 58 chemistry education students from Universitas Negeri Makassar, Class of 2025, selected via simple random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that the independent variables (parental support for environmental education and issues, discussions about environmental issues, use of environmentally friendly products, and family involvement in environmental activities) did not have a significant influence on college students' environmental awareness. However, the overall contribution of these variables to college students' environmental awareness was low, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 12.2%. This study concluded that although parental support and family environmental habits did not have a significant influence on students' environmental consciousness, their overall contribution was low.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution has had an impact on the world of vocational education. Practical learning is the main characteristic in answering the challenges of the industrial world. Equipment used in the practicum must have excellent perfomace to be operated. One of the strategies in maintaining equipment in prime condition is the application of the Report Analysis Preventive Maintenance (RAOPM) application. This study aims to monitor the activities of the use of equipment in the laboratory, in order to determine the downtime of the machine. This research uses development research. The results showed that RAOPM in the Makassar State University laboratory has had a tremendous impact on the operational aspects of the laboratory. The implementation of RAOPM from the usage rate indicator, has an average value of 4.21 in the “Very Good” category with a percentage of 52.2%. In terms of maintenance efficiency, it also has a positive impact on knowing machine downtime which can be monitored in real-time. Then the implementation of RAOPM in the laboratory provides various benefits, ranging from increased maintenance efficiency with a predictive approach to better resource management through structured scheduling. RAOPM transforms maintenance from reactive to proactive, lowering breakdown frequency, downtime, and operational costs. In addition, RAOPM improved staff competencies through technology and maintenance management training, fostered a sense of responsibility, and supported the university's sustainability goals by optimizing energy efficiency. Although challenges such as resource limitations and technology adaptation remain, the benefits of RAOPM in improving the university's performance, academic quality, reputation are significant.
