Abstract

Social assistance programs at the village level are one of the government's efforts to reduce poverty and improve community welfare. However, in practice, the process of determining eligible beneficiaries is often carried out manually, which may lead to subjectivity, inaccurate targeting, and a lack of transparency in decision-making. This study aims to develop a decision support system that assists village administrators in determining priority candidates for social assistance in a more objective and systematic manner. The proposed approach integrates the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) methods. The AHP method is used to determine the weight of each criterion through pairwise comparison matrices and consistency testing. Subsequently, the MOORA method is applied to normalize the decision matrix, calculate preference values, and rank the alternatives. The results show that AHP-MOORA can generate a priority ranking of potential social assistance beneficiaries. The calculated weights for the criteria respectively are Kepemilikan Tanah: 0.5579 (highest importance), Kondisi Rumah: 0.2633, Pekerjaan: 0.1219, Penghasilan: 0.0569 (lowest importance) and the value of CR is 0.0654, which is less than 0.1, indicating that the criteria weights are consistent. The ranking based on AHP-MOORA show significant differences than the earlier dataset. Based on sensitivity analysis, the high correlation values in all sensitivity tests show that the ranking results remain consistent. Furthermore, the system improves transparency and consistency in the decision-making process.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Some Indonesian students aged 10–12 at the Indonesian Embassy in Malaysia's PNF Learning Center (PKBM PNF) still demonstrate low basic literacy skills. This condition is related to family backgrounds that do not have clear legal status due to unregistered marriages and the lack of valid citizenship documents. In addition, parental involvement in accompanying children's learning process at home is relatively low due to the demands of full-time work. This study aims to accompany and improve basic literacy skills through the ABACAGA Guidebook and contextual fiqh materials. The population in this study were PMI elementary school children in grades 1 and 2 with a sample of 20 students. This study used a qualitative empirical method with a participatory approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, pre-tests and post-tests, and direct documentation in the field. The conclusion from the results of this mentoring was able to improve basic literacy skills, strengthen children's learning habits, and introduce basic fiqh understanding such as ablution, prayer, and short readings. Each child we support shows varying levels of progress, proving that all children excel in their own talents, and with the right approach, they can develop optimally, even with limitations.   Keywords: literacy, abacaga method, Islamic jurisprudence

Abstract

Background: The integration of local environmental potential into early childhood education is important for creating meaningful and contextual learning experiences. However, many schools still face difficulties in connecting curriculum content with students’ real-life environments. Objective: This study aims to analyze the development of a local environment-based curriculum at Pembina Tana Tidung State Kindergarten through the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach. Methods: This study employed a mixed-method approach through observation, interviews, document analysis, and questionnaires involving teachers and school stakeholders. Result: The findings show that CTL improved curriculum integration through contextual learning activities based on local environmental potential. Quantitative results revealed that 82% of teachers improved their competence in designing contextual lesson plans, while 78% of students demonstrated higher participation and learning motivation. Students also showed better critical thinking and simple problem-solving abilities during learning activities. Conclusion: The study concludes that CTL effectively supports sustainable local curriculum development by strengthening teacher competence and creating authentic learning environments in early childhood education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the instructional issues in the learning of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) within the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum and to reconstruct the PAI curriculum through a Responsive Evaluation approach. The urgency of this research lies in the persistent gap between the formal curriculum and actual classroom practice, particularly in the representation of SKI as a subject area that is often perceived as memorization-based and historically disconnected from students' contemporary contexts. Employing a qualitative research design with document analysis and field observation, this study involved PAI teachers and curriculum coordinators at Islamic educational institutions in East Lombok. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and curriculum document reviews, then analyzed using responsive evaluation indicators developed by Stake (1975) and refined by contemporary scholars. The findings reveal three critical instructional issues: (1) the dominance of transmissive pedagogical approaches, (2) misalignment between curriculum objectives and student learning outcomes, and (3) limited integration of higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in SKI learning materials. The reconstructed curriculum model proposed in this study incorporates contextual learning principles, multicultural perspectives, and inquiry-based instructional strategies. This study contributes to PAI curriculum development discourse by providing an empirically grounded evaluation framework that bridges policy intent and classroom reality.
