Abstract

This research delves into developing strategies to augment awareness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) halal certificates in Islamic sharia-compliant provinces, focusing on the case of Aceh Province. Given the increasing global demand for halal products, bolstering awareness of the certification process is paramount. The study employs a robust SWOT Analysis, encompassing Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) and External Factor Evaluation (EFE) assessments, to comprehensively evaluate the existing landscape. Internal strengths, weaknesses, and external opportunities and threats pertinent to MSMEs halal certificates are systematically examined. By harnessing internal strengths and mitigating weaknesses, this research seeks to address external challenges and harness opportunities for strategic planning proactively. The outcomes aim to provide actionable insights for various stakeholders, including MSMEs, government entities, halal certifiers, and industry regulators, fostering a collaborative environment for improving the perception and understanding of MSMEs halal certificates. Furthermore, this study emphasizes the vital role of Aceh Province as a case study, shedding light on practical strategies that similar regions can adopt to bolster the halal industry's growth while aligning with Islamic economic principles and values. The findings underscore the need for a proactive approach to ensuring the sustainability and expansion of MSMEs halal certifications in Sharia-compliant provinces.

Abstract

The curved damper can control the structure movement by a physical approach to reduce the lateral deformation under the earthquake, which previously proved to be a significant improvement when applied on a moment-resisting frame in a laboratory scale experiment. With the same idea, a curved damper is considered a passive control to reduce the excessive deformation for a single span of a steel truss bridge, which is analyzed by finite element modeling to evaluate the role of the curved damper in a complex structure. The study of curved dampers applied in this typical bridge showed that mid-span deformation can be mitigated by up to 62% under an earthquake. Hence, a structure with a curved damper is recommended for application in high seismic locations.

Abstract

Sharia cooperatives have emerged as an alternative solution in poverty alleviation efforts, especially in Aceh Province, which has officially implemented a Sharia-based financial system. This study aims to explore the role of Sharia cooperatives in empowering impoverished communities through a qualitative descriptive approach informed by a literature review. Based on a review of more than 25 national and international academic sources, this study highlights how sharia cooperatives provide inclusive financial access, create employment opportunities, and promote economic independence, particularly for vulnerable groups, including women and Micro And Small Enterprises (MSMEs). The findings demonstrate that sharia cooperatives not only enhance economic welfare but also foster social solidarity, expand access to decent housing, and integrate Islamic values into community life. In addition, sharia cooperatives also support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in the aspects of poverty alleviation (SDG 1) and women's empowerment (SDG 5). Despite facing structural challenges such as low managerial capacity and regulatory support, sharia cooperatives still have great potential as a value-based economic instrument in realizing a just and prosperous society. This study recommends integrating sharia cooperatives into the national digital-based economic ecosystem to strengthen their contribution to inclusive and equitable development.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of the digital halal economy presents unprecedented opportunities for Muslim women to participate, innovate, and lead within value-driven economic systems. This study explores how digital technologiesparticularly e-commerce platforms, Islamic financial technology (fintech), and social mediahave become powerful tools for inclusion, entrepreneurship, and leadership among Muslim women. Through a qualitative literature-based approach, this research examines the intersection of gender, Islamic values, and digital innovation, revealing how Muslim women are redefining their economic agency while navigating sociocultural, structural, and regulatory challenges. The study identifies key areas of empowerment, such as ethical branding, syariah-compliant business practices, and community-driven mentoring within digital halal ecosystems. It also highlights the barriers posed by digital illiteracy, gender bias, and inadequate policy frameworks. Drawing from academic literature, case studies, and policy analyses, this paper proposes strategic pathways to build a gender-inclusive digital halal economy through education, value-aligned innovation, and ethical leadership. The findings contribute to global discourses on Islamic economics, gender equity, and digital transformation, emphasizing the importance of inclusive economic models that align with both technological advancement and Islamic ethics.
