Abstract

In the concept of language mastery, the stages to be passed are: (1) listening, (2) understanding the meaning of speech, (3) practicing/repeating speech, (4) reading, (5) writing. To achieve fluency in English, students must master all four of these abilities. One solution is for students to listen to their own conversations, which will make it easier for them to gain experience in listening to English conversations. Self-recording video is a practice where students or study participants use technological devices like smartphones, phones, or laptops to record themselves speaking in the target language, usually English, either inside or outside the classroom. This Research was aimed to made a design of Self-Recording Video as a method to improve student’s listening and speaking abilities. The sample of this research was students in class 9A and 9B. Abstract

The search for alternative protein sources for duck feed is important considering its high cost. An experiment involving 100 forty-wk-old laying ducks was conducted for eight weeks to study the effects of fresh water fish (sapu-sapu fish -SSF) as single protein sources  on egg quality and heavy metal concentration. The SSF levels were 28 and 35% of the feed and the remaining constituent was rice bran with metabolizable energy approximately 2,943 and 2,934 kcal/kg, respectively. Fresh  water fish did not effect on egg quality measured except egg weight and shell thickness (63.2±0.30 to 67.9±0.22g) and shell thickness (0.50±0.04 to 0.52±0.04g) with increasing dietary SFF(P<0.05). Mean concentrations of heavy metals in local duck samples decreased in the order kidney>liver>egg>meat for Pb and liver>kidney>meat>egg for Cu. Lead concentrations in meat, eggs, liver and kidney were 1.267± 0.825, 1.311±0.737, 1.762±0.729 and 2.172±0.770 mg/kg respectively. These values were higher than the admissible amounts under the Indonesian National Standards (1.0 mg Pb/kg) and FAO (0.1 mg Pb/kg). Accumulation of Cu in the meat, eggs, liver and kidney was 12.798±4.181, 7.011±1.949, 30.165±16.561 and 14.392± 4.208 mg/kg respectively. These levels were also higher than that recommended by the European Commission. The conclusion of this study proved that feeding SSF to laying ducks raised by small farmers contained a significantly high concentration of heavy metals not appropriate for human consumption when high levels of SSF was fed

Abstract

Clove is one of the precious plants produced in Indonesia. Clove has many benefits for humans, but clove cultivation often experiences problems due to disease attacks, including Leaf Blister Blight Disease(CDC). The handling of CDC disease is carried out based on the severity of the symptoms that can be seen on the affected leaves. This research was conducted to obtain a CDC disease classification model, so appropriate treatment can be carried out. This study used the pre-trained VGG16, InceptionV3, and ResNet models for classification. VGG16 got the highest average accuracy of 96.7%. Aside from that, k-fold cross validation improved the model's accuracy.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to design, develop, and validate a set of English speaking teaching materials based on the peer collaboration model that are suitable for use by 9th-grade students at MTs S Mutafawiq Aini. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach as proposed by Borg and Gall (2003), which is especially relevant for educational innovation. The R&D model offers a structured process that aims to produce educational products, such as teaching materials, that are developed and validated through rigorous procedures. This model includes a cycle of planning, developing, validating, testing, and revising the product to ensure its relevance, usability, and effectiveness in real teaching contexts. After analyzing the data, the researcher concluded that the existing speaking material is not appropriate for students and it was not enough to make students understand the material about descriptive text. They think it is difficult to learn about speaking descriptive text because the existing material is not in line with their major. They want to have a suitable material with their major that can motivate them to learn. The solution for that problem is developing the new appropriate speaking English material. Developing the material was using the R & D phases by Gall et. al. (2003) which is simplified into; (1) Gathering Data and Information; (2) Need Analysis; (3) Design Media; (4) Validate by expert; (5) Revision; (6) Final Product. The score of validation from the first validator was 95% and from the second validator was 93.3% and it was categorized as relevant. It means the material is appropriate to use as learning material for students
