Abstract

Students’ science literacy has declined due to learning barriers in the form of student’s lack of enthusiasm to participate in the learning process. This is supported by the fact that students feel bored and less enthusiastic about learning due to the lack of innovation and variety of learning media in the classroom. This study aims to prove the results of the effectiveness test of learning media development in restoring enthusiasm and measuring the increase in mastery of science literacy of fifth-grade elementary school students. This research uses a research and development (RnD) method with a quantitative descriptive approach. The development of learning media adapts the ADDIE development model, including (1) analyze phase, (2) design phase, (3) development phase, (4) implementation phase, and (5) evaluation phase. The research was conducted by testing the use of learning media in the form of digital comics in the classroom with students as respondents. The results showed differences in students' learning outcomes before and after using learning media. The results of students' pretest and posttest scores show that digital comic learning media through online flipbooks with science literacy content are feasible and effective in improving the mastery of science literacy of fifth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This community service aims to increase the understanding of Indonesian Davao School Teachers (SID) in the Philippines regarding the Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5). Through an In House Training approach based on structured learning, this activity succeeded in increasing teachers' understanding of P5 implementation. The mentoring activities were attended by 20 teachers at SID from elementary, junior and senior high school levels. The results of the mentoring show that there is an increase in teacher understanding regarding the implementation of P5 in the Kurikulum Merdeka. This is shown by the increase in the results of the teacher pre-test and post-test at SID amounting to 25.33 with an n-gain of 0.39 in the medium category. This activity also identified the need for more specific and focused training to support the optimization of the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka. As a follow-up, this service will be directed at developing advanced training modules and providing project-based assessment assistance. In addition, collaboration with various parties will be strengthened to ensure program sustainability and improve the quality of learning that is more inclusive and meaningful. This activity is a strategic step in supporting the transformation of Indonesian school education abroad.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik kesulitan menulis dan membaca permulaan, deskripsi faktor yang mempengaruhinya, dan deskripsi usaha yang dilakukan guru untuk meminimalisir kesulitan menulis dan membaca permulaan. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan pengambilan data dengan cara wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasilnya ditemukan siswa yang kesulitan dalam menghafal huruf, baik bentuk maupun bunyinya, adanya penambahan dan pengulangan huruf dalam suatu kata, baik ketika sedang menulis maupun membaca, kesulitan menulis dengan susunan kata dengan pola KV-KV-KV, KV-KVK, dan KVK-KV. Kesulitan membaca dengan tiga suku kata, kata yang memiliki huruf konsonan dalam susunan suku katanya, dan susunan kata dengan pola KVK-KV-KV. Kurangnya bimbingan orang tua dan kurangnya minat serta motivasi siswa dalam belajar menjadi faktor temuan yang mendasari kesulitan menulis dan membaca permulaan. Sebagai upaya meminimalisir kesulitan menulis dan membaca yang dialami siswa, Guru melakukan berbagai usaha seperti menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang beragam, berkolaborasi dengan orang tua, dan memberikan dukungan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Students who feel bored in science and science learning activities impact low student learning outcomes. This research aims to analyze the influence and effectiveness of experimental methods on science and science learning outcomes regarding the respiratory system in class V elementary school. This research uses an experimental method with a quantitative approach. The design form of this research is a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study was all fifth-grade elementary school students, totaling 121 students. The sampling technique used in this research was cluster sampling. The sample in this study was 50 students in the experimental class, 50 in the control class, and the remaining 21 in the test class. The methods used to collect data are tests, observation, interviews, documentation, and field notes. The instruments used to collect data were questionnaire sheets and test questions. The data analysis technique used in this research is inferential statistical analysis. The research results, namely the results of the t-test, show that the experimental method has an influence and is effectively used in improving the science and science learning outcomes of class V students on the human respiratory system. The results of the n-gain test showed an increase in understanding of IPAS in the control group, including in the medium category, and an increase in understanding of IPAS in the experimental group, including in the high category. It was concluded that the experimental method could improve science and science learning outcomes regarding the respiratory system in class V elementary school.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi bagi pendidik saat ini diharapkan dapat membangun keunggulan siswa dalam membaca dengan memberikan video pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa dalam melaksanakan literasi digital di sekolah, yang juga dapat lebih meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Fasilitas sekolah yang tersedia seperti proyektor kurang digunakan oleh guru untuk digunakan sebagai variasi media pembelajaran, siswa sering mengalami kesulitan ketika dihadapkan pada materi yang memiliki variasi bacaan yang luas, terutama pada muatab pelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh media video pembelajaran terhadap literasi digital, minat baca, serta hasil belajar siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah angket dan test. Teknik yang digunakan untuk analisis data adalah uji manova. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas tingkat pelaksanaan pemberian video pembelajaran kepada siswa kelas V termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik yaitu sebesar 71,10%, tingkat literasi digital pada siswa kelas V termasuk dalam kategori tinggi yaitu sebesar 51,70%, tingkat minat baca siswa kelas V setelah diberikan video pembelajaran termasuk dalam kategori tinggi yaitu sebesar 43,6%, tingkat hasil belajar siswa dalam kategori sangat tinggi yaitu sebesar 47,0%.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media video pembelajaran mempengaruhi literasi digital, minat baca dan hasil belajar siswa kelas V sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The lack of variety in learning makes students easily bored and haveneeds help understanding the material, impacting learning outcomes. Therefore, a learning model is needed to increase students' interest and enthusiasm, such as the Team Games Tournament learning model with the help of Question Cards. The research aims to test the effect of implementing this model on students' science learning outcomes. This research is quasi-experimental in the form of a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects of this research included the entire population of fourth-grade elementary school students. The sample used was 104 students. The data collection methods used are interviews, observation, tests, and documentation. Data collection instruments with test questions, observation sheets, and interviews. The data analysis technique uses inferential statistical analysis. Data analysis uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive statistics. The results of the hypothesis test show differences in the average student learning outcomes. The results of the N-Gain test show the scores for the control class (low category) and the experimental class (medium category), meaning that there is an increase in the average of better learning outcomes in the experimental class. Based on these results, applying the Teams Games Tournament learning model assisted by Question Cards affects students' science learning outcomes.

Abstract

The character value of elementary school students' independence is one of the problems that becomes a problem for students. The formation of the character value for independence is not only a school task, but the role of the family is also expected to form a character of independence. The purpose of this study was to analyze in depth the role of family education in shaping the independent character values syudents of class IV elementary school. Independence becomes a character value that must be embedded in students, so that independence becomes one of the attitudes needed in the implementation of learning. Descriptive qualitative is the method used in conducting research. The informants used as data sources included parents, students of class IV elementary school, and also class teachers. The techniques used in collecting data include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis used was Milles Huberman's interactive model. The results showed that good family education has a positive role in the formation of the character values for the independence students of class IV elementary school. This can be seen from the independent attitude shown by students both in the family and school environment. Through good family education such as habituation that reflects independence will shape student character. The positive impact of instilling the value of independence is that students are able to fully participate in the learning process at school. The benefits that can be conveyed from the results of the research should be for parents to be able to apply proper family education to elementary school age children, because this education will have a positive impact on children.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan yang sering diabaikan dalam melaksanakan pendidikan ialah penguatan nilai-nilai multikultural yang ditanamkan pada diri siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk menganalisis lebih mendalam mengenai cara guru dalam mengimpelemntasikan nilai-nilai multikultural dan mengetahui apa saja faktor-fator yang memengaruhinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data meliputi tiga bentuk yakni pengamatan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari guru kelas VI dan tiga siswa yang terdiri dari siswa etnis Jawa, Tionghoa, dan Papua. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi koleksi data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan cara yang digunakan oleh guru dalam implementasi nilai-nilai multikulutral di kelas VI yakni mempersilahkan siswa berdoa sesuai keyakinan masing-masing, belajar secara berkelompok, penggunaan media, pengaturan tempat duduk heterogen, dan kegiatan kagamaan di luar kelas. Faktor yang memengaruhi implementasi nilai-nilai terdiri dari faktor pendorong dan faktor penghambat. Faktor pendorong meliputi kondisi masyarakat multikultural, komunikasi wali murid, keberagaman etnis dan budaya di kelas, dan sikap kebersamaan. Adapun faktor yang dapat menghambat yakni kebijakan penerapan pembelajaran jarak jauh.

Abstract

This research aims to create a valid, practical, and effective Nearpod-based interactive learning media to improve learning outcomes of social sciences content on the material "Indonesian Cultural Diversity." This is development research with the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). Based on the results of the expert assessment, the validity of the product obtained a score of 92.18% with the criteria of "very valid" in the aspects of suitability of material and learning objectives, language, media display, excellence, and media use. Material validation scores on aspects of accuracy with learning objectives, students' level of thinking, language, and supporting aspects (videos, images, quizzes) also fall into the "very valid" category with a score of 95%. Based on student responses to the content of the material, ease of use, material display, linguistic aspects, and readability of the material are also in the very valid category, with a percentage of 91%. Based on the N-Gain calculation of students' pretests and post-tests, Nearpod media received a score of 0.74 from 22 large group students, while six small group students obtained a score of 0.8 in the "High" category, as well as the material achievement score from the N-Gain results of 92.3% with the "Very Good" category, which means that 26 out of 28 students get scores above learning objective completeness criteria (KKTP).

Abstract

Mental health is an essential thing to pay attention to; mental health problems can attack all levels of society and can cause many victims for individuals, families and students and students. The Covid-19 pandemic is currently still affecting the whole world. Because of this, during the COVID-19 pandemic, many researchers paid more explicit attention to human mental health conditions. During the current COVID-19 pandemic, many students are experiencing mental health problems, including learning stress. Still, guidance and counseling services are also experiencing obstacles because they have to maintain health protocols, making it very difficult to provide face-to-face counseling. Cybercounseling So far, a lot of this has been done using applications such as Zoom, Google Meet, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Skype so that this research will develop a mobile application specifically for guidance and counseling. E-Counseling to produce an application that can meet user needs, the method used is ADDIE, where this method prioritizes design based on user needs. However, in this article, the stages only reach the design process.
