Abstract

The objective of this study was to examine the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning model combined with talking stick on IPAS learning outcomes. This research is experimental and uses a quantitative approach. The study design is quasi-experimental, utilizing a nonequivalent control group design. The study population consisted of fourth-grade students at SD Gugus Kemuning in Semarang City. The samples of this study were fourth-grade students of SDN Wonosari 02 and SDN Wonosari 03. Normality, homogeneity, t-test, and N-gain tests were used to analyze the data. The results showed that the Problem Based Learning model combined with talking stick is more effective in improving the IPAS learning outcomes compared to the conventional learning model. The t-test results demonstrate a significant difference between the IPAS learning outcomes before and after treatment, as evidenced by the t value > t table (9.00 > 2.05 and 11.10 > 2.05). This is also corroborated by the experimental class N-gain test results, which are 0.56 and 0.53 greater than the control class, respectively, at 0.29 and 0.24.

Abstract

Engineering teaching and learning utilizing using augmented reality (AR) technologies is crucial with new technology adaptation. This study has developed an Android mobile based augmented reality of engineering device (ARED) with description using marker-based technique. Unity 3D, Vuforia, and Blender Animation were used to design 3D models of engineering devices on AR platforms. ARED is used to scan a marker and display an AR 3D model of engineering devices with its information. Ten engineering devices models were created using Blender Animation Tools and exported to Unity 3D which are Ups Power, Infrared Thermometer, Cisco Router, Multi meter, Poe Switch, Clamp Meter, Power Supply, Arduino Uno, Raspberry Pi and Oscilloscope. ARED mobile app is successfully tested which presents users can interact with the 3D model using touch input to enhance their learning experience. Result presents user’s evaluation analysis at 86.2% of ARED’s effectiveness and impact for future education. The technical analysis shows that ARED can handle the optimum distance range between 35 to 100 cm, operation angle is best between 45 and 135 degrees and occlusion average maximum of 55%. The significance of the research is to improve the quality and process of engineering education by using AR and promotes the learning society’s transition to digital learning with mixed reality in engineering, which creates a borderless learning environment.

Abstract

Abstract

Mathematics is often considered a difficult subject to understand, this is because the implementation of learning still uses conventional methods that result in lessons feeling monotonous and boring so that it has an impact on student learning outcomes and motivation. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the rumah pendidikan platform in improving the learning outcomes and motivation of grade III Dabin II students in Batealit District, Jepara Regency. The research uses an experiment method with a One Group Pre-test-Post-test design. The sample used includes three elementary schools with a total of 103 students. Data collection uses a motivation questionnaire and student learning outcome tests that are analyzed by normality tests, paired sample t-tests and n-gain tests. The research findings show the influence of the use of these media in improving student learning outcomes and motivation. The effectiveness of the education home platform from the n-gain score of learning outcomes is 0.5833, while the n-gain score of the learning motivation questionnaire is 0.5618. Both scores indicate an increase in learning outcomes and motivation that falls into the fairly effective category. This proves that the use of the rumah pendidikan platform as an effective learning medium for increasing the learning outcomes and motivation of grade III students in the mathematics subject of flat shapes.

Abstract

Minimizing the use of technology-based interactive multimedia in social science learning reduces the interest and learning outcomes of alpha-generation students. Research and development (R&D) design with a waterfall development model, which includes requirements, design, Implementation, verification, and maintenance phases, is used in this research. Developing interactive multimedia product ABEL KERINDO "Ayo Belajar Kerajaan di Indonesia" based on Articulate Storyline to probe its eligibility and effectivity becomes the purpose of this research. From the validation results, this product is considered highly qualified, with a material expert rating of 96.25 percent, a media expert of 93.75 percent, teacher 100 percent, and student participant 98 percent, which yields an average score of 97%. This multimedia can significantly improve the learning outcome for fourth-grade students of SD Kanisius Beringin Semarang, with the difference between the pretest-posttest ratio of 23.75 and the N-gain ratio of 0.545, which belongs to moderate criteria. Students' interest in learning also increased from 66 percent to 80 percent, indicating the product's effectiveness in increasing engagement and learning outcomes. Overall, the product can be considered highly eligible and effective for enhancing the interest and learning outcomes of alpha-generation students.
