Abstract

Regional Water Supply Companies (PDAM) play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of clean and consumable water. This study aims to compare the Double Exponential Smoothing (DES) methods—Brown’s one-parameter and Holt’s two-parameter—for forecasting the clean water production of PT. Air Minum Giri Menang (Perseroda), emphasizing parameter optimization using a quadratic algorithm. The algorithm efficiently determines the optimal smoothing parameters to minimize forecasting errors measured by the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). The results indicate that Brown’s DES method, with a MAPE of 3.29%, outperforms Holt’s DES method, which has a MAPE of 3.96%. While both methods are highly accurate for forecasting (MAPE ≤ 10%), the quadratic algorithm optimization makes Brown’s DES method the preferred choice for planning clean water production for the January–June 2023 period.

Abstract

Early childhood is a busy and vital time for maximizing different cognitive skills so children can grow into good people. The capacity and awareness of teachers to take advantage of opportunities in this golden era depends on the success or failure of developing children's intelligence. Applying cooperative learning with traditional game media is a suitable alternative for early childhood education. Teachers must be able to choose and implement learning strategies most appropriate to the early childhood development level. This study aims to determine whether cooperative learning, aided by traditional game media, has improved learning results in Pancasila Bondowoso Kindergarten. This class action study uses observational tools, interviews, and recordings. The findings demonstrated students' enthusiasm and passion for learning and a substantial improvement in student learning outcomes from cycle 1 to cycle 3. The first cycle's learning outcomes were improved by 63% in the second cycle, to 74%, and by another 85% in the third cycle. Therefore, Bondowoso Pancasila Kindergarten's classroom action study on adopting cooperative learning supported by traditional game media in early childhood was deemed successful.

Abstract

Mastery of mathematical problem-solving skills based on logical reasoning is an important aspect in supporting students’ success in facing the Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK). However, many students still encounter difficulties in understanding concepts and effectively solving UTBK-type questions. To address this issue, a community service program was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Pujut with the aim of enhancing participants’ mathematical reasoning capacity. The activity began with an introduction to the Mathematics study program, followed by training sessions on strengthening concept mastery through logical reasoning and practice in solving UTBK questions, delivered by lecturers and students. The effectiveness of the training was evaluated through a comparison of participants’ pre-test and post-test results. This activity was attended by 30 students as training participants. The evaluation showed a significant improvement in post-test scores, with 83.33% of participants experiencing an increase in their scores, and the majority achieving above 60 in the post-test. These findings indicate that the applied training method was effective in improving students’ conceptual understanding of mathematics and their readiness to face the UTBK.

Abstract

General Background: Faith-based hospitals in Yogyakarta operate within a pluralistic society where patient trust is shaped by both clinical competence and identity-sensitive service cues. Specific Background: Inclusive leadership is theorised to reduce identity threat and enhance fairness perceptions, yet empirical evidence on its effects for interfaith patients remains limited. Knowledge Gap: Existing studies have not clarified how leadership-driven identity-safe cues and justice perceptions jointly influence trust, affective comfort, and patient behavioural outcomes in faith-based healthcare. Aims: This study examines a structural model linking inclusive leadership, identity-safe religious cues, procedural/interactional justice, trust, comfort, satisfaction, and post-service behaviour. Methods: A cross-sectional survey of 114 outpatients from two urban hospitals was analysed using PLS-SEM. Results: Inclusive leadership strongly predicted identity-safe cues and fairness perceptions, which in turn significantly increased trust; trust enhanced comfort, driving satisfaction, revisit intention, and positive word of mouth. Novelty: This study reframes inclusive leadership as a consumer-facing signal of warmth, competence, and interfaith respect, advancing identity-safety theory into healthcare consumption. Implications: Hospitals should institutionalise inclusive cue architecture and transparent procedures to strengthen trust, elevate patient experience, and reinforce competitive advantage. Highlights: Inclusive leadership strengthens identity-safe religious cues and fairness signals. Trust and affective comfort act as key mediators toward satisfaction and loyalty. Identity-safe service design enhances interfaith patient experience and hospital competitiveness. Keywords: Inclusive Leadership, Identity-Safe Cues, Trust, Patient Comfort, Faith-Based Hospitals

Abstract

This study presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on innovative instructional strategies designed to improve students’ Arabic speaking skills (mahārah kalām) across varied educational settings. The review applied the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) procedure, including identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion stages. Literature was retrieved from Google Scholar using keywords related to Arabic pedagogy and innovative learning. A total of 250 articles were initially found; 175 were excluded because they did not focus on speaking skills or did not meet methodological and thematic criteria. The remaining 75 studies published between 2015 and 2025 were analyzed qualitatively. The synthesis shows that Project-Based Learning (PBL), Total Physical Response (TPR), muhadasah practice, eclectic methods, and technology-enhanced media consistently contribute to improvements in fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary mastery, and communicative confidence. These strategies demonstrate alignment with communicative, behaviorist, cognitive, and constructivist learning paradigms through authentic communication, reinforcement, cognitive engagement, and experiential learning. Despite these promising results, research gaps remain, particularly the lack of comparative studies and limited exploration in higher education and nonformal learning contexts. The study underscores the need for integrative, technology-driven instructional models to strengthen Arabic-speaking pedagogy responsive to twenty-first-century learning demands.
