Abstract

Kata Kunci: Amanah, Ekonomi Islam, Keadilan, Kepemimpinan, Syūrā   Abstract Leadership in modern organizational management is often driven by power, efficiency, and profit, neglecting ethical, justice-oriented, and socially responsible dimensions. This article explores Islamic economic leadership principles particularly ‘adl (justice), amanah (trustworthiness), and shūrā (consultation) and assesses their relevance in contemporary organizational governance. Using library research with a thematic interpretation (maudhu’i) and normative-critical analysis, the study examines primary sources (Qur’an, hadith, classical tafsir) and secondary sources (Sinta/Scopus-indexed journals, academic books from the last five years). Findings reveal that the Qur’an rejects authoritarian and exploitative leadership, proposing instead a participatory, accountable, and justice-centered model rooted in the concept of khilāfah. These principles can be operationalized through egalitarian organizational structures, equitable incentive systems, and collective decision-making cultures. This article contributes to the development of Islamic management that is not only theological but also practical and responsive to global organizational challenges[2]. Abstract

In the era of globalization, lifelong learning has become an urgent need due to changes in technology and the job market. However, public participation is still low, especially in developing countries. Islam emphasizes the importance of knowledge, as reflected in the Prophetic traditions that encourage people to continue learning. These hadiths can serve as motivation and strategies to increase community involvement in continuing education. This study aims to examine the role of hadith in promoting lifelong learning and formulate strategies based on Islamic values that can be applied in continuing education. The research method used is a qualitative approach with analysis of hadith texts and literature studies. This study also adopts an interdisciplinary approach by linking hadith studies with modern learning theories. The results show that hadith has great potential in shaping the paradigm of lifelong learning. The integration of hadith with modern learning strategies can increase community motivation and participation. For example, entrepreneurship training can be linked to the hadith on work ethic while digital literacy can be taught through the analogy of the story of Prophet Moses and Prophet Khidir. Initial case studies show that hadith-based approaches are more effective than secular methods in increasing community engagement in learning. Lifelong learning is a fundamental principle in Islam, but it still faces challenges in its implementation. Synergy between academics, government and religious institutions is needed to develop education policies that are more inclusive and based on Islamic values.

Abstract

Abstract

Kata Kunci: Dark Pattern, Etika Digital, Gharar, Hadis, Tadlis   Abstract The digital transformation of Islamic economics presents new ethical challenges, particularly in marketplace transaction practices. This article examines the relevance of the prophetic prohibition of gharar (uncertainty) and tadlis (deception) in authentic hadiths to manipulative practices such as fake reviews, phantom pricing, and dark patterns. The study employs library research with a thematic hadith analysis (maudhu’i) of primary sources (Shahih al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud) and secondary sources (Sinta/Scopus-indexed journals, expert monographs, APJII/LPEI reports). Findings reveal that hadiths explicitly forbid ambiguity and deception in trade principles directly applicable to contemporary digital practices. The article proposes an operational ethical framework rooted in hadith for platform developers, regulators, and Islamic business actors. Keywords: Dark Pattern, Digital Ethics, Gharar, Hadith, Tadlis

Abstract

This study aims to examine the normative and practical background of the principle of mutual consent (an-taradhin) in muamalah transactions from the perspective of Islamic law. The method used is qualitative research based on library research with a textual and contextual approach to the hadiths narrated by Ibn Majah and other similar chains of transmission. The results of the study indicate that in Islamic jurisprudence, the principle of an-taradhin is not merely a formal aspect but an absolute legal instrument to prevent practices of injustice, fraud (tadlis), uncertainty of information (gharar), and coercion (ikrah). In a modern context, the implementation of this principle requires transparency regarding product information, freedom of choice (khiyar), and legal awareness on both sides to ensure transactional justice. Theologically and sociologically, fulfilling this pillar of consent serves to maintain the economic stability of the community and ensure blessings in every activity related to meeting life’s necessities. The research conclusion affirms that an-taradhin is the primary filter and an absolute requirement for the validity of a contract. If this element of consent is lost due to coercion, manipulation, or hoarding of goods (ihtikar), then the transaction is automatically considered legally defective, invalid, or null and void according to Sharia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the wage practices of part-time PPPK teachers at the Department of Education in Bantaeng Regency from a hadith perspective, particularly concerning the principle of justice within the framework of Ijarah. The research employs a qualitative approach using field research combined with a thematic hadith analysis. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving seven purposively selected informants and were analyzed using a descriptive-comparative method. The findings reveal that the wage system for part-time PPPK teachers has not been implemented optimally. Most informants have not received any wages since their appointment, while others receive very minimal compensation that is not proportional to their workload. Additionally, the study identifies the absence of clear employment contracts and prolonged delays in wage payments, which significantly affect teachers’ welfare and work motivation. From a hadith perspective, particularly the Prophet’s saying narrated by Ibn Majah regarding the obligation to pay wages before the worker’s sweat dries, it is emphasized that wages must be paid promptly, fairly, and proportionally. The comparison between empirical findings and hadith principles indicates a significant gap, suggesting that current wage practices are not fully aligned with the principles of justice in Islam. This study contributes to the development of thematic hadith studies by integrating normative and empirical approaches and provides practical implications for policymakers in designing a more just wage system for educators.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the analysis of the chain of narration (isnād) in determining the quality of hadiths. The research method used is library research, which involves collecting data from books and various hadith compilations relevant to the topic of discussion. The results and discussion of this research show that analyzing the chain of narration plays a crucial role in determining the quality of a hadith’s sanad (chain of transmission). After analyzing the elements of the sanad, such as the narrators’ names, the forms of transmission (ṣīghah), and the number of narrators, the researcher found that each of these elements requires thorough investigation through various reference works to deepen the analysis of the hadith chain’s condition. The analysis of narrators’ names should be carried out by consulting multiple rijāl al-ḥadīth (biographical) books. Likewise, the analysis of ṣīghah requires examining teacher–student relationships and corroborating them with evidence from the explanations of scholars found in classical works. The analysis of the number of narrators in the sanad demands access to a wide range of sources without limiting the investigation to specific books, in order to trace the length or brevity of the chain. Although determining the quality of a hadith may consider the number of narrators in the chain, further analytical depth is still necessary. This study recommends that hadith scholars and academics further develop this research and apply its framework in future hadith studies.

Abstract

Legal voids or the lack of written regulations nowadays often cause judges to face difficult legal dilemmas. Judges are not permitted to refuse cases, but they also face psychological and theological pressures when making new rulings. This article discusses the concept of ijtihad in the courts by examining the theological guarantees found in the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW regarding the reward for judges who exercise ijtihad. This research employs a normative qualitative method with Hadith studies (content analysis) and takhrij, as well as analysing the main narrations from Amr bin al-Ash. The results indicate that the reward of twofold for correct ijtihad and onefold for incorrect ijtihad is a way to avoid criminalising unintentional legal errors. These theological guarantees help reduce judges' psychological pressure and encourage progress in legal discovery (rechtsvinding). However, these guarantees only apply to judges who meet methodological requirements and possess high moral integrity to prevent malpractice in the court.

Abstract

This study examines the Qur'anic perspective on work ethic as a normative foundation for shaping productive, honest, and God-oriented work character. The problem addressed is the low productivity among Muslims despite the Qur'an's strong emphasis on diligent work. This library research employs a thematic exegetical approach (maudhu'i), collecting and comprehensively analyzing Qur'anic verses related to work ethic. The findings reveal that the Qur'an views work as integral to humanity's caliphal mission on earth, encompassing principles such as sincerity (ikhlāṣ), honesty (ṣidq), professionalism (itqān), diligence, and balance between worldly and otherworldly affairs. Verses analyzed include QS. At-Taubah: 105 (universal command to work), QS. Al-Jumu'ah: 10 (balance between worship and economy), QS. An-Najm: 39-41 (certainty of reward for effort), QS. Ar-Ra'd: 11 (causality of change), and QS. Al-Qasas: 77 (world-hereafter balance). This study concludes that the Qur'anic concept of work ethic contributes philosophically and practically to developing excellent, integral, and competitive human resources without abandoning spiritual values.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of ecotheology from the perspective of Hadith, focusing on the contribution of the Prophet Muhammad’s teachings in fostering environmental awareness and ecological ethics. The research employs a normative approach by analyzing hadiths concerning tree planting narrated by Imam al-Bukhari, Muslim, al-Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, al-Nasa’i, and Ibn Majah. The analysis covers the narrators (rawi), chains of transmission (sanad), and textual content (matan) to evaluate the authenticity and validity of these traditions as normative foundations for Islamic environmental ethics. The findings reveal that these hadiths are authentic (sahih), supported by continuous chains of transmission, reliable narrators, and consistent textual content that aligns with the principles of the Qur’an. The hadiths on tree planting emphasize that ecological activities possess spiritual value and constitute a form of ongoing charity (sadaqah), as their benefits extend to humans, animals, and other living beings. These findings demonstrate that Islam provides a strong theological foundation for environmental conservation through the concepts of khalifah (stewardship), amanah (trust), and ecological balance. Therefore, environmental hadiths remain highly relevant for addressing contemporary ecological crises and serve as a basis for developing Islamic environmental ethics oriented toward sustainability and ecological responsibility.
