Abstract

The study of Islamic ethics and moral philosophy has great significance in understanding the application of religious values and morality in individual and community life. In the Islamic tradition, ethics plays a role as a guide to behavior as well as a manifestation of the purpose of life to achieve happiness in the world and the hereafter that is blessed by Allah SWT. The concept of Islamic ethics is a concept that integrates the theory of obligation (deontology) and morality (morals). This concept integrates the theory of obligation (deontology) which focuses on moral rules and the theory of virtue (virtue ethics) which focuses on character development. This research aims to explore the relationship between the theories of obligation and virtue within the framework of Islamic ethics, as well as assess their relevance in addressing modern moral challenges, such as social justice, the environment, and politics. The approach used is qualitative with a literature study method, involving primary sources such as the Qur'an, Hadith, and classical Islamic literature, and comparing with Western moral theories. The results of the study show that Islamic ethics is holistic, uniting the obligations of Sharia with the development of noble morals. It offers flexible and universal moral guidance, is relevant to address global issues, and opens opportunities for constructive dialogue between Islamic ethics and contemporary moral philosophy.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the theoretical history and answer questions about nahwu between shina'ah and ma'rifah. In analysis, this paper utilizes a literature review method involving a qualitative approach. Literature synthesis is then used to present a deep understanding of the researched topic. The results show that nahwu, within the context of ma'rifah, is solely the Arabic language used for the Quran. Over time, it evolved into shina'ah. Similar in Bahm’s opinion, this process cannot be separated from six important components of science, namely: (1) issues, stemming from the presence of lahn, both among native and non-Arab speakers. (2) Attitude, established through the recommendation of Ali bin Abi Thalib to Abu al-Aswad ad-Duwaly for formulating nahwu. (3) Method used in constructing nahwu as shina'ah, which involves adding diacritical harakat and marks to the Quran. (4) Activities, developed through language codification in various phases, resulting in tashnif wa tajrid, schools of nahwu, and others. (5) Conclusion, after a long process, it can be concluded that nahwu has become a complex discipline but rich in benefits. (6) Effects, some of the positive influences resulting from the establishment of nahwu as shina'ah include better understanding of the Arabic language, effective communication, teaching and learning, research and scientific development, and preservation of Arab cultural heritage.

Abstract

The development of interest-based river tubing enhances the destination’s appeal and positively impacts the local economy through active community participation in tourism management. This study aims to analyze the potential and opportunities for river tubing development, with a focus on the role of youth in tourism development and strategies to support their involvement in optimizing local tourism potential. Using a phenomenological qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical methods, data was collected through participatory observation, focus group discussions (FGD), and documentation. The research sample consists of 20 informants from tourism operators, nature enthusiast communities, Tourism Awareness Groups, youth organizations, local youth, Tambora National Park managers, and the Kawinda To’i village government. The findings indicate that the primary attraction of river tubing in Kawinda To’i Village, Tambora District, Bima Regency, lies in its surrounding natural beauty, including the route flanked by large rocks, dense trees, and a refreshing panorama. The relatively smooth and safe river flow, combined with easy accessibility, constitutes the main advantages supporting the existence of this tourist attraction. River tubing provides a refreshing adventure experience and plays a significant role in supporting local economic growth. Youth act as innovators and primary implementers in this activity, contributing through various forms of participation, including ideas, skills, effort, and resources. Strategic approaches to engage youth in river tubing management include interactive communication, cooperation among youth, communities, stakeholders, and village governments, training for self-reliance, and the provision of adequate facilities. Support from the government and relevant parties, along with the implementation of the principle of cooperation, empowers youth to act as driving forces in the sustainable management of tourism, maintaining ecosystem balance, and enhancing community welfare. Theoretically, this approach supports the concept of community-based tourism, emphasizing the vital role of youth as agents of change in the development of sustainable special-interest tourism, thereby enriching the literature on youth leadership in community-based tourism destination management
