Abstract

The research used includes quantitative sample collection and data analysis using statistical methods. The research results show that the use of gadgets has a significant impact on students' social behavior, both positively and negatively. The role of parents is also important in controlling students' social behavior, through mentoring, inviting them together, and controlling the use of gadgets. The impact of using gadgets on students' social behavior can vary depending on how they are used and related factors. Therefore, this research suggests the importance of developing strategies to manage and control students' gadget use, as well as involving the role of parents in the education process and student character development.

Abstract

Indonesia is ranked low in terms of reading literacy, both in terms of interest and reading skills. The independent learning curriculum is designed to improve students' reading literacy, one of which is through graded children's books at the elementary school level. This study was conducted to determine the effect of the reading aloud strategy assisted by graded children's books on students' reading interests and skills. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a sample size of 30 elementary school students in grade III in each control and experimental class. The experimental class is a class that applies the reading aloud strategy assisted by graded children's books, while the control class is a class that applies conventional learning strategies. The research instrument used to measure the reading interest variable is a questionnaire, while the reading skill variable is a reading test question. The analysis tool used is the independent sample t-test. The results of the study showed that the t-count value was 6.943 with a sig of 0.000 for the reading interest variable and the t-count value was 2.962 with a sig of 0.004 for the reading skill variable. This states that there is a difference in the average interest and reading skills of students between students who learn using the reading aloud strategy assisted by graded children's books and students who use conventional strategies. The reading aloud strategy assisted by graded children's books has an effect on students' reading interests and skills.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the anti-bullying program at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) At-Taqwa Surabaya in creating an inclusive learning atmosphere. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study design, using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The findings show that a combination of preventive, collaborative, and supportive strategies is effective in building a safe, inclusive school environment and fostering students' holistic character development. This effectiveness is supported by systematic approaches such as daily pledges, early-year assessments, a house system, and the integration of religious values into the learning process, which help establish a positive school culture and strengthen peer relationships. Mandatory extracurricular programs and active parental involvement through parenting activities and the E-Bukpeng application further enhance bullying prevention efforts. Bullying cases are addressed in stages using a restorative approach, supported by sharing sessions and home visits to aid students' emotional recovery. The study concludes that optimizing anti-bullying programs based on religious values and family participation has proven effective in fostering a more positive and inclusive learning climate in Islamic elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the condition of the teaching materials of the Indonesian Basic Education Course (KPDI) and the needs of BIPA (Indonesian for Foreign Speakers) teaching materials for KPDI students in Mindanao, Philippines. This research method is a descriptive research type in the initial stage of defining the 4D model development research. Data collection techniques include interviews, non-participant observations, and literature studies. Interviews were conducted with students, teachers of the Indonesian School of Davao (SID), and staff of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) Davao City. The results of the study showed that the main obstacles were the limited availability of relevant teaching materials and the lack of tutors with a strong Indonesian background. Reading comprehension skills, especially vocabulary, need to be improved. Priority topics of teaching materials include introductions, home environment, transportation, and school activities. Teaching materials must be easily accessible, independently studied, and interesting, and integrate the values of the Pancasila Student Profile (P3) to strengthen Indonesian values. This is important for students who will continue their education at the Indonesian School Abroad (SILN). These findings highlight the need for contextual, accessible BIPA materials relevant to students’ environments and integrated with Pancasila values to support language skills and global readiness.
