Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy of escalating the integration of spiritual values into the curriculum and its holistic implementation through the support of effective principal leadership. This study was conducted qualitatively in four madrasahs, where data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation. The collected data were discussed in FGDs with 144 participants online and offline to ensure their validity. The results of this study include: 1) convergence of opinions among all stakeholders agreed to include and combine four essential spiritual categories, namely tauhid (Oneness of God), akhlak (good morals), Worship, and Jihad (struggle), into the education curriculum, following common beliefs and the results of deliberation; 2) five strategies that are practically implemented into the following holistic and integrative activities, including; (1) establishing a curriculum integration escalation policy; (2) integrated into the implementation of all materials; (3) carried out jointly between schools and parents; (4) controlled administratively through a liaison book and daily pocket book (a'malul yaum); and (5) carried out in various real actions; 3) leaders have a clear vision and are the best role models. This research provides implications about the importance of visionary leaders in strengthening spiritual values in their curriculum in a planned, systematic, and total manner.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the role of school principals' visionary leadership based on an ethical culture in improving school quality. This research uses a systematic literature review method to examine several related articles. The research results show that visionary leadership by school principals plays a significant role and positively influences the quality of schools and institutions. The role of the school principal's visionary leadership style in improving the quality of education is demonstrated by several factors and characteristics of this style. The relationship between visionary leadership and ethical culture can drive innovation to improve the quality of education. The ethical culture in schools enables the formulation of the school's vision, mission, and goals by examining the school's characteristics and the community that participates in it. The final results of this research concluded that school principals who have vision, characteristics, competence, motivation, strong work standards, and a value orientation are leaders expected to improve the quality of education. This research is hoped to provide insight to other researchers, educators, school principals, and schools.

Abstract

The growing disparity between vocational education and industry standards, particularly in the automotive sector, has prompted the search for innovative training solutions that provide authentic, accessible, and engaging learning environments. This study aims to develop and evaluate a Virtual Reality-based Automotive Workshop integrated into a Massive Open Online Course platform as a means to simulate industry-standard automotive procedures and operational environments. Using a mixed-methods design, the research involved pretest and posttest assessments, structured observations, user perception surveys, and expert validation. Participants consisted of vocational students and trainees who completed interactive VR training modules embedded in a self-paced online course. The instructional model followed the ADDIE development framework, ensuring alignment with pedagogical principles and industry practices. Findings revealed a significant improvement in learners’ technical competencies, as reflected in increased posttest scores and moderate-to-high learning gains. Observational data showed high task completion rates and procedural accuracy, while user responses indicated strong motivation and satisfaction with the VR experience. Expert reviewers confirmed the simulation’s fidelity and relevance to real-world automotive contexts. These results suggest that immersive digital environments can replicate industry-relevant tasks, support procedural mastery, and enhance learner engagement. The integration of VR and online platforms also extends the reach of vocational education, particularly for institutions with limited access to physical workshops. This study contributes to the evolving landscape of digital vocational education by demonstrating how immersive simulations grounded in pedagogical theory can strengthen workforce readiness. The findings support the application of authentic, context-rich learning environments to improve educational outcomes and reduce the skills gap in technical fields.
