Abstract

Understanding scientific culture (USC) and developing problem-solving skills (PSS) are important elements in facing complex global challenges in the digital era. This study examines the effects of creativity (CRV), communication (CMN), and digital literacy (DGL) on USC and PSS in biology students at Universitas Negeri Makassar, Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat, and Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika in Indonesia. A cross-sectional quantitative survey approach was used with a structured online questionnaire, and data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results showed that CRV had a significant direct effect on USC and PSS. CMN also had an effect on USC. However, the direct effect of CMN on PSS was not significant, indicating that its role in improving problem-solving skills was mediated by USC. In contrast, DGL showed a weaker direct effect on PSS and USC, indicating a less dominant role than creativity and communication. These findings emphasize the importance of a synergistic educational approach that integrates CRV, CMN, and DGL to support USC and PSS. Emphasis on creativity as a transformative tool and communication as a collaborative medium in scientific contexts is highly recommended, while DGL needs to be further developed to effectively complement these competencies. Future research needs to explore these relationships in different contexts to refine educational strategies and address evolving challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to determine problem-solving skills through the application of socio-scientific issue-oriented problem-based learning  reviewed from the academic abilities of grade X students and to find the interaction of the application of socio-scientific issue-oriented problem-based learning  with academic ability on the biology problem-solving skills of grade X students. This research is a quasi-experimental design. The research design used is Pretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study is Class X of SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo which consists of five classes, namely Classes X1 to X5 with the research samples used, namely Classes X3 and X6. The data collection technique uses  eight-number essay questions that are arranged using problem-solving skill indicators that have been validated by expert validators. The data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The results of the study showed that (i) The average score of students who were taught with the SSI-oriented PBL model with a score of 74.38 (ii) The scoring criteria obtained from problem-solving skills are in the good category. (iii) The problem-solving skills of students who were taught with the SSI-oriented PBL learning model on high academic ability obtained an average score of 81.88 and students with low academic ability had an average score of 64.82. (iv).There was no effect of interaction between the model and academic ability on problem-solving skills. The conclusion of this research is that the problem-based learning model oriented towards socio-scientific issues has an effect on students' problem solving skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' responses to online learning, especially in biology learning which was carried out on students of class XI Mipa at SMAN 20 Makassar as many as 68 students. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive qualitative research. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire sheet consisting of four indicators. The indicators in question are (1) learning quality, (2) suitability of learning levels, (3) incentives, and (4) learning time. The results of the response questionnaire given to students show that most of them feel comfortable and effective in online learning. The level of incentives that learners receive from online learning in biology subject is enough to motivate them to actively participate in learning according to their needs in biology subject. However, there are some aspects such as learning quality that need to be improved. Factors such as the quality of online learning materials, technology support, and teacher involvement have a significant impact on learners' responses. This research provides valuable insights for the development of more effective and supportive online learning for learners in the future. Based on the results of the questionnaire analysis of students' responses to online learning, it can be concluded that the highest indicator obtained a percentage of 64.3% with a good category and the lowest indicator obtained a percentage of 64.3% with a good category.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of the SIRI learning model, namely learning based on integrated problem solving in Indonesian Siri' culture in improving the critical thinking skills of biology students. This experimental research was conducted with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design and involved 109 biology students at Universitas Negeri Makassar, Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika, and Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat, Indonesia. Data was collected using a critical thinking skills essay test. A critical thinking skills rubric was used to assess student answers and the results were analyzed using ANCOVA at a significance level of 0.05. Research findings show that there is an influence of the SIRI learning model on the critical thinking skills of biology students. The LSD test results show that the critical thinking skills of the SIRI class are significantly different from those of the PBL class and conventional class. It was concluded that the SIRI learning model could improve biology students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of SIRI learning model in empowering scientific attitudes in biology students. This experimental study was conducted with a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design and involved 95 biology students at Makassar State University, Indonesia. Data were collected using a scientific attitude questionnaire. The scientific attitude rubric was used to assess students' statements and the results were analyzed using ANCOVA at the 0.05 level of significance. The findings showed that there was an effect of SIRI learning model on scientific attitudes in biology students. The LSD test results also showed that the scientific attitude scores using the SIRI model were significantly different from the STAD learning model and the lecture model class. It is concluded that the SIRI learning model can improve scientific attitudes in biology students.

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan zaman dan kemajuan teknologi telah memudahkan dalam penyajian informasi, utamanya proses belajar mengajar Namun, di era serba digital ini, ada masyarakat yang belum bisa merasakan pesatnya kemajuan teknologi, terutama anak-anak muda penyandang disabilittas dan anak-anak yang kesulitan belajar langsung karena kendala ekonomi. Maka dari itu diperlukannya media pembelajaran yang interaktif bagi anak-anak penyandang disabilitas yang mengalami kesulitan dalam pembelajaran langsung. Dengan tujuan agar mereka mendapat media pembelajaran yang khusus dirancang untuk mereka. Media pembelajaran interakrif yang akan dibuat adalah pembelajaran menggunakan metode Computer Assisted Learning (CAL) saat ini berkembang pesatt dengan segala bentuk inovasi. Metode ini dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif dari metode klasikal yang bisa digunakan guru untuk mengajar di kelas. Computation Learning (CAL) adalah sutu pendekatan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar yang memberikan dukungan media untuk penyajian, penguatan materi, dan pengukuran materi selama pembelajaran, biasanya disajikan dalam elemen interaktif menggunakan multimedia.

Abstract

Program Sekolah Penggerak, saat memasuki tahun ketika menuju tahun keempat, telah mengimplementasikan sistem estafet coaching dari instruktur ahli kepada pengawas sekolah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan coaching pengawas sekolah untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan dan meningkatkan kompetensi mereka. Metode coaching meliputi persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kegiatan coaching. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pengawas sekolah belum konsisten dalam menjalankan kegiatan coaching sesuai jadwal yang ditetapkan, dengan temuan bahwa pemahaman mereka tentang coaching berbeda dengan konsep sebenarnya. Pertemuan antara pengawas sekolah dan kepala sekolah lebih cenderung menjadi sesi fasilitasi atau mentoring yang didominasi oleh pemberian saran atau solusi, bukan coaching. Namun, melalui pendalaman kembali konsep dan kompetensi coaching, pemahaman peserta meningkat, dan mereka berkomitmen untuk melaksanakan coaching kepada kepala sekolah dalam Program Sekolah Penggerak

Abstract

Pembelajaran inovatif di abad 21 merujuk pada framework for 21st century learning yang memerlukan pemahaman mengenai pemanfaatan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunisi dalam pembelajaran abad 21. Pembelajaran Abad 21 merupakan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan kemampuan literasi, kecakapan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap, serta penguasaan terhadap teknologi. Pembelajaran yang dirancang harus mampu mengakomodasi kebutuhan peserta didik sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka yang telah dicanangkan sejalan dengan perkembangan abad 21, sehingga seluruh pihak yang terlibat dalam dunia pendidikan, khususnya guru harus mampu merancang pembelajaran inovatif dengan student centered (berpusat pada siswa).  Pelatihan ini diselenggaran di SMP Negeri 2 Galesong Utara yang diikuti oleh guru dari berbagai mata pelajaran. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dengan metode cerama, tanya jawab, pelatihan dan pendampingan merancang pembelajaran inovatif. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini, para peserta mendapatkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang pembelajaran inovatif serta memberikan respon yang sangat baik terhadap pelakasanaan keiatan yang telah dilakukan.

Abstract

AbstrakLontar merupakan tumbuhan khas KabupatenJeneponto yang selama ini tumbuh melimpah dan telahbanyak dimanfaatkan masyarakat dalam berbagaikeperluan. Tujuan secara umum kegiatan pengabdiankepada Masyarakat ini adalah pemanfaatan Nira Lontar dalam pembuatan kecap bagi Kelompok Tani di DesaPunagaya Kec. Bangkala, Kab. Jeneponto. Tujuan khususdari kegiatan ini adalah: 1) Memanfaatkan bahan dasarnira Lontar dalam pembuatan kecap sehingga dapatmeningkatkan kualitas Lontar sebagai ciri khas daerahKab. Jeneponto; 2) Meningkatkan pengetahuan bagiKelompok Tani dalam memanfaatkan nira lontar untukdijadikan kecap; 3) Meningkatkan pendapatan ekonomimasyarakat Kelompok Tani melalui pembentukan usahapembuatan kecap. Metode yang digunakan yaitu; metodeceramah, tanya jawab, dan metode praktik.Hasil yang dicapai adalah peserta pelatihan sangat antusias dan termotivasi mendapatkan pengetahuanpembuatan kecap berbahan dasar nira lontar yang berasaldari tumbuhan lokal daerah, yaitu tumbuhan lontar. Melalui pelatihan ini masyarakat dapat meningkatkankepedulian dan sikap wirausaha untuk mempertahankankeberlangsungan pemanfaatan tumbuhan Lontar di masa akan datang.Kata Kunci: Nira Lontar, Pembuatan Kecap, Wirausaha, Desa Punagaya. AbstractLontar is a typical plant of Jeneponto Regency which has grown abundantly and has been widely used by the community for various purposes. The general aim of this service activity is the use of Lontar Nira in making soy sauce for the Farmer Group in Punagaya Village, Bangkala District, Jeneponto Regency. The specific objectives of this activity are: 1) Utilizing the basic ingredients of Lontar Nira in making soy sauce, so as to improve the quality of Lontar as a regional characteristic of Jeneponto Regency; 2) Increasing knowledge for Farmer Groups in using Lontar Nira to make soy sauce; 3) Increasing the income of the Farmer Group community through the establishment of a soy sauce manufacturing business. The method used is; lecture method, question and answer, and practice method.The results achieved were that the training participants were very enthusiastic and motivated to gain knowledge of making soy sauce made from Lontar Nira which comes from local plants, namely the Lontar plant. Through this training, the community can increase their awareness and entrepreneurial attitude to maintain the sustainable use of Lontar plants in the future. Keywords: Lontar Palm, Soy Sauce Making, Entrepreneurship, Punagaya Village

Abstract

Lesson study merupakan strategi pembinaan profesi guru berkelanjutan berbasis kelas & kolaboratif untuk mengoptimalkan layanan siswa belajar mengenai Lesson Study. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk memberikan penguatan dan pemahaman Guru-Guru dan Kepala Sekolah di Kab. Takalar. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu; a) Observasi; b) Diskusi dan Tanya jawab; c) Tugas Mandiri/Terstruktur; d) Review Tugas; dan e) Konsultasi secara lansung dan online. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan guru dan kepala sekolah mengenai Lesson Study. Hasil tersebut terlihat dari kegiatan yang berjalan dengan baik dan kondusif serta positifnya respon peserta pelatihan terhadap angket yang diberikan dengan nilai rata-rata 3.35.
