Abstract

Classification is a systematic method of grouping data based on predefined analytical rules and principles. One of the classification methods employed in this study is the Modified K-Nearest Neighbors (MKNN) algorithm, which is recognized for its potential to achieve higher accuracy. MKNN is an extension of the traditional K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) method, incorporating an additional ranking stage and a weighted voting mechanism using an alpha value of 0.5. The object of this study is stroke disease. In the medical context, stroke occurs due to a disruption of blood flow to the brain. Ischemic stroke is caused by the obstruction of blood vessels and is generally considered less severe, whereas hemorrhagic stroke results from the rupture of blood vessels and is categorized as a severe condition. Hospitals in Indonesia are required to provide prompt and accurate healthcare services, in accordance with Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health. Approximately 70% of stroke patients have a history of hypertension and heart disease, while around 87% experience psychological disorders such as anxiety and depression. Based on data obtained from Cut Meutia Regional General Hospital (RSUD Cut Meutia) in Lhokseumawe, the classification of stroke types is still performed manually through clinical observation. Therefore, this study proposes a stroke classification system based on the MKNN algorithm. The system utilizes 11 features and two diagnostic classes, namely ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke, with a total of 100 medical record datasets divided into 80 training data and 20 testing data. Using a value of K = 5, the system achieved an average confidence accuracy of 81.19%, with a precision of 85.71%, recall of 80%, F1-score of 82.75%, and overall accuracy of 75%. The system was developed using the PHP programming language and a MySQL database.

Abstract

This study presents a comparative analysis of Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Naïve Bayes algorithms for sentiment analysis of TikTokShop application user reviews. As TikTokShop emerges as an innovative platform integrating social media with e-commerce, understanding user sentiments becomes crucial for both consumers and businesses. A balanced dataset of 3,000 user reviews (1,000 positive, 1,000 neutral, and 1,000 negative) was collected through web scraping from Google Play Store. Following comprehensive preprocessing including cleansing, case folding, normalization, tokenization, stopword removal, and stemming, the data was vectorized using TF-IDF. Performance evaluation utilized accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, confusion matrix, and 10-fold cross-validation. Results demonstrate that SVM consistently outperformed Naïve Bayes with higher accuracy (68.86% vs. 64.48%), precision (68.43% vs. 64.19%), and F1-score (68.58% vs. 62.46%). SVM exhibited balanced classification across all sentiment categories, while Naïve Bayes excelled at identifying negative sentiments (94.1% accuracy) but struggled significantly with neutral reviews (38.5%). Despite SVM's superior performance, Naïve Bayes demonstrated remarkable computational efficiency, with training time 224 times faster than SVM. The study reveals complementary strengths between the algorithms, suggesting potential value in ensemble approaches. These findings contribute to the understanding of sentiment analysis in video-based e-commerce platforms and provide valuable insights for businesses seeking to leverage user feedback for improved decision-making.

Abstract

Manual management of student financial transaction data remains a major challenge in many higher education institutions, including in the collaboration between Universitas Islam Negeri Imam Bonjol (UIN IB) Padang and Bank Nagari. Until now, no automated system has been developed to cluster student transaction data using the K-Medoids algorithm within higher education institutions in West Sumatra. This study aims to design a transaction clustering system that can identify student transaction patterns more efficiently. The K-Medoids algorithm is applied to transaction data that has been preprocessed through categorical transformation and normalization to address accuracy issues in distance-based analysis. The results show the formation of three main clusters: low (59 data points), medium (185 data points), and high (106 data points). This distribution reflects the variations in student transaction behavior and can be utilized by both the university and the bank to design more targeted service strategies, such as resource allocation and payment policy evaluation. This research provides an initial contribution to the application of K-Medoids-based data mining for optimizing transaction management in regional higher education institutions

Abstract

Food security is essential for ensuring food availability, accessibility, and utilization. This study applies a multidimensional indicator framework covering social, economic, and infrastructure aspects to cluster regions in North Aceh Regency, addressing limitations of previous studies that primarily focus on agricultural production indicators and lack policy-oriented analysis. The analysis uses 2023 data from 27 sub-districts at the village level, comprising 852 villages. The indicators include: (1) the ratio of agricultural land area to total population, (2) the ratio of food supply facilities and infrastructure to households, (3) the ratio of population with the lowest welfare status to total population, (4) the proportion of villages without adequate transportation access via land, water, or air, (5) the ratio of households without access to clean water, and (6) the ratio of population per health worker relative to population density. Data processing involves preprocessing, normalization, and K-Medoids clustering, evaluated using the Davies–Bouldin Index (DBI) and Silhouette Coefficient (SC). The results identify six clusters: highly food insecure (C1) with 63 villages, food insecure (C2) with 92 villages, moderately food insecure (C3) with 179 villages, moderately food secure (C4) with 42 villages, food secure (C5) with 49 villages, and highly food secure (C6) with 427 villages. Most villages fall within moderately food insecure to highly food secure categories, indicating disparities in food security distribution. The DBI value of 3.085 indicates moderate cluster compactness, while the SC value of 17.75% suggests weak separation between clusters. These findings provide policy recommendations for targeted and equitable food security interventions.
