Abstract

This research aims to: 1) to know level of student empathy before the application of bibliokonseling techniques, 2) to know level of student empathy after the application of bibliokonseling techniques and 3) to know effectiveness from bibliocounseling techniques. This research using the experimental method with design of one group pretest-posttest designs type pre-experimental research, research samples amounted to 5 students who were netted using purposive sampling techniques. This research instrument is an empathy scale. Data analysis using Wilcoxon non parametric test statistics. The results of research show that 1) level of student empathy before using bibliokonseling techniques in the low category, 2) after bibliokonseling techniques level of student empathy become a high category, 3) bibliokonseling techniques effective to increase student empathy. Based on the results of this research then it is recommended: 1) for counselors in using bibliocounseling techniques as an alternative for student to have low empathy, counselor can use bibliokonseling ingredients are in accordance with student problem, 2) for other researchers can develop a bibliokonseling techniques guide book.

Abstract

There are still many students who have low learning motivation so that it hinders the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Solution Focused Brief Counseling in increasing student motivation in junior high school. The research method used in this study was an experimental method with the design of one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects in this study amounted to 5 students who were determined based on the Purposive Sampling technique with a low category pretest scale score. The results showed that there were differences between the values of the pretest and posttest. The level of learning motivation of the research subjects from the pretest average score of 58.4 which is included in the low category, increased to an average of 91.2 when the posttest was included in the medium category. Based on the Wilcoxon test obtained a significance value of 0.043 less than 0.05, which means the provision of Solution Focused Brief Counseling for effective solutions to increase the learning motivation of class VIII students in Ash-Syafi’iyyah Islamic Middle School, Pakisaji Malang

Abstract

Spirituality and mental health have become important studies in the world of education. The holistic education paradigm views the two aspects as having a very important role in determining the best development of students and their learning achievements in addition to cognitive and skill aspects. Theoretically mental health is influenced by spirituality. This study examined the effect of student spirituality on mental health in 382 new FITK Uin students Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The level of mental health was measured using a mental health scale developed by Ryff and Keyes, while spirituality was measured by Religiosity and Spirituality Scale for Youth by Hernandez. The results showed the influence of spirituality on health as much as r = 0.295 and sig. amounting to 0.01. These results explain that spirituality is one of the factors that affect the level of mental health of new students

Abstract

Problem solving skills are the abilities to identify problems, search and select various alternative solutions and make decisions in solving all the problems at hand. Problem solving skills are 21st century skills that are needed by society and the world of work. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. The research sample consisted of 300 students who were selected using the stratified random sampling technique. The research instrument used a scale of student problem solving skills. The Analysis of Data used descriptive analysis, independent sample t-test, and ANOVA with the help of the SPSS program. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded (1) the average level of student problem solving skills is in the medium category (62.3%), (2) there is no significant difference in the level of student problem solving skills based on gender, (3) there is no significant difference in the level of student problem solving skills based on developmental status, (4) there is a significant difference in the level of problem solving skills of students based on age groups. The age group that has a significant effect on the difference in the average score of problem solving skills of students aged 23 years

Abstract

Multicultural awareness is the foundation of communication and it involves the ability of standing back from ourselves and becoming aware of our cultural values, beliefs and perceptions. Multicultural awareness becomes central when we have to interact with people from other cultures. People see, interpret and evaluate things in a different ways. What is considered an appropriate behavior in one culture is frequently inappropriate in another one.this research use descriptive- quantitative methodology to indentify level of students multicultural awareness specifically will be identified by gender and academic years. This research will identify multicultural awareness based on differences of gender, academic years. This research use random and purposive random sampling of 650 students from university. These studies identify of multicultural awareness 3% in high condition, 82,6 % medium, and 5,8% in low. Further, there is a significant difference in the level of multicultural awareness based on gender and academic year. These findings could not be generalized because of the limited sample and ethnicity; it should need a wider research so that can be generalized and recommended the efforts to development and improvement of multicultural awareness conditions for optimization the services. Abstract

Human life can not be separated from a communication, both verbal and non-verbal. Communication can take place in the context of interpersonal communication, interpersonal communication, group communication, organizational communication and also mass organization. Group counseling simulation technique is one way to reflect the realities of everyday life through the atmosphere to play and aims to help students learn about experiences related to social rules. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of group counseling with simulation techniques to improve interpersonal communication skills class X SMA Al-Rifa'ie Gondanglegi. The population of this research is class X MIA 1 and X IBB of 2 students and a sample of 10 students were taken by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using SPSS 16.00 for windows by Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test . The results showed that the interpersonal communication skills of students before getting treatment pretest showed an average of 65 with a low category, and after getting treatment posttest showed an average of 109 with high category with the percentage increase in average by 68%. Based on test results obtained Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test Z = - 2.807 with Asymp. Sig (2-tailed ) of 0.005 or less than 0.05. Which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted it can be concluded that there are differences in interpersonal communication skills of students before getting treatment and after getting treatment simulation. This indicated that techniques to improve interpersonal communication skills class X SMA Al-Rifa'ie Gondanglegi.

Abstract

This research is based on the results of observations to students of class VII C SMP Negeri 2 Tegal Siwalan, indicating that 9 students still have low levels of learning motivation. This can hinder the development of students in achieving their goals and can lead to failure of learning. Therefore, the increase in student learning motivation is necessary for students. This study used pre-experimental designs with one group pre-test and post-test design. Subjects used in this study were 9 students from grade VII C SMP Negeri 2 Tegal Siwalan. The sampling technique was done by purposive sampling which only studied the students with low learning motivation. The research instrument used is the scale of learning motivation, anecdotal note, and treatment material that has been tested before the expert given to the subject. Data were analyzed by using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Based on the result of the research shows (1) Student motivation before treatment has low motivation level (2) Student motivation after treatment has increased learning motivation into high category (3) Simulation game technique using to dart board media effectively improves students learning motivation. This means that is simulation game technique using the effective media dart board to improve the learning motivation of the students in grade VII C SMP Negeri 2 Tegal Siwalan Probolinggo.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce an academic stress scale to measure the stress level of students who have high validity and reliability. So that it can facilitate counselors in helping students with academic stress problems. This development research uses a method or strategy developed by Borg and Gall involving 300 students. The sample of this study were junior high school students aged 13-16 years who were selected with cluster random sampling technique, Pearson Product Moment data analysis, Cronbach Alpha, normality test and factor analysis. This development research resulted in academic stress instruments consisting of 31 valid items and 15 correlating factors. So that the final results of this academic stress inventory can be used to measure students' academic stress levels.

Abstract

Aggressive behavior is an act or abusive behavior used in socializing or communicating in a society that does not conform to the norm in masayarakat, and can harm others. One of the deviant behaviors that often arise among teenagers is that it is less able to control their emotions, and it is easy to express displeasure through inappropriate words. Group guidance helps individuals find themselves, direct themselves, and can adjust to their surroundings. This research aims to test the effectiveness of role play techniques to reduce the aggressive behavior of grade VIII students at Sunan Ampel Performance Junior High School. The research method used is experimental research with one group pretest posttest design type. Research sample of 10 students selected with Cluster Random Sampling technique. Research instruments use thescale of study, expert test and aggressive behavior scale, data analyzed with technologyk validitytest, realibiltas, before after design. The results showed students' aggressive behavior decreased after participating in group mentoring activities with role play techniques or effective role play techniques to reduce students' aggressive behavior. The nextresearcher's advice b agi,time should be effective when providing services to students so as not to interfere with the schedule of students who participate in extra activities in school

Abstract

The purpose of this research resulted learning motivation inventory for vocational high school students that meet the requirements of validity and reliability, so that it is able to measure the learning motivation of students that would become the guidelines on teacher guidance and counselling in providing tutoring services as well as to arouse the learning motivation of students. This research is the development of research or research and development model of the Borg and Gall, by involving 317 students. The population of this research is the vocational high school students aged 15-19 years. The taking of the sample of this study using cluster random sampling, while the analysis used product moment pearson, cronbach alpha, test for normality and an analysis of the factors. This research resulted learning motivation inventory for vocational high school students consisting of 59 items statement declared valid, has a high level of reliability, data is normally distributed and has 15 correlating factors on each particular item. Thus this study motivation inventory product can be used to identify learning problems of vocational high school students.
