Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap jejak tradisi intelektual ulama tasawuf di Sumatera Timur abad XIX dan XX, yakni Syekh H. Abdul Wahab Rokan (1811-1926) dan Prof. Dr. H. Saidi Syekh Kadirun Yahya (1917-2001). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi tokoh dengan metode sejarah dan pendekatan sejarah sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; pertama, Syekh H. Abdul Wahab Rokan merupakan ulama tasawuf yang meletakkan pondasi tarekat Naqsyabandiyah pertama di Sumatera Timur, tepatnya di Babussalam, Langkat. Belajar secara informal dan nonformal kepada ulama-ulama di Tembusai, Minangkabau, serta Makkah. Beliau memiliki murid hingga ke negeri Jiran, Malaysia. Meskipun tidak pernah mengenyam pendidikan formal, beliau telah menghasilkan berbagai karya dibidang keagamaan. Kitab-kitab yang beliau tulis dicetak dipercetakan Babussalam Langkat. Di antara ajaran tarekat Naqsyabandiyah yaitu hidup sederhana, semangat etos kerja, saling tolong-menolong, tegas dan berpendirian, toleransi,  ridha dan qana’ah, dan selalu merasa diawasi Allah. Kedua, Prof. Dr. H. Saidi Syekh Kadirun Yahya merupakan ulama tasawuf yang berbeda dengan yang lain. Tidak ada ciri keulamaan dalam bidang tasawuf yang melekat dalam diri beliau, bahkan jenjang pendidikan formal yang beliau tempuh secara keseluruhan merupakan bidang umum seperti kimia dan metafisika. Beliau memperoleh ajaran tarekat dari gurunya yang bernama Syekh Muhammad Hasyim dari Buayan. Ajaran tarekatnya agak kontroversial yakni dengan memadukan antara ajaran tarekat dengan dunia sains modern, sehingga tidak sedikit yang menolak ajarannya termasuk dosen-dosen di mana beliau menjadi pemilik yayasannya. Beliau merupakan sosok yang aktif berorganisasi dan memiliki karya dalam jumlah yang banyak, khususnya tentang metafisika dan tasawuf ilmiah.

Abstract

Objectives in this study to describe the concept of character education in the movie Super 30. The research, which is a library research using the primary data source of the film Super 30 Vikas Bahl in 2019. Thus the method of data collection is documentation research Methode, while the analysis of data using content analyze from the contents of the film, then poured in a qualitative descriptive consisting of three activities, namely data collection as well as data reduction, data presentation, and the conclusion retrieval as well as data verification. The results of this study pointed out that (1) the concept of character education developed in the film Super 3 applies the value of modesty, responsibility, discipline, compassion, friendship, independence, hard work, and cooperation; and (2) methods used include methods of advice, habituation, and Solicit.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap pendidikan Islam pada masa Kesultanan Langkat 1912-1946, khususnya tentang Jam‘iyah Mahmudiyah Li Thalibil Khairiyah Tanjung Pura Langkat ditinjau dari aspek kelembagaan, isi pendidikan, tenaga pendidik dan siswa, serta manajemen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian sejarah dengan pendekatan sejarah sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Jam‘iyah Mahmudiyah Li Thalibil Khairiyah menggambarkan lembaga pendidikan modern formal pertama di Sumatera Timur. Dari aspek kelembagaan, Jam‘iyah Mahmudiyah memiliki visi misi, struktur organisasi, prasarana dan sarana yang modern, serta pendanaan yang jelas. Pada tahun 1912 Jam‘iyah Mahmudiyah mengadakan pembaruan di lembaga tersebut yang dimulai dengan pemberlakuan ujian dan berhak mendapatkan ijazah. Pendidiknya terdiri dari ulama yang memiliki latar belakang pendidikan dari Ummul Qurâ’ dan al-Azhar. Menurut penulis hal ini semakin kuat dengan kendali pengelolaan pendidikan yang langsung dikendalikan oleh organisasi yang dibawahi oleh Sultan Langkat. This study aims to reveal the Islamic education during the Langkat Sultanate 1912-1946, especially about Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah Li Thalibil Khairiyah Tanjung Pura Langkat in terms of institutional aspects and management. This research is a historical research with social history approach. The results show that Jam'iyah Mahmudiyah Li Thalibil Khairiyah represents the systematic, planned, modern and first formal education institution in East Sumatra. As for the institutional aspect, the Jam'iyah has a vision of mission, organizational structure, infrastructure and modern facilities, as well as fixed budgeting. In 1912 the Jam'iyah reformed evaluation method, as well as standardized the qualification of the teachers of Umm al-Qurâ’ and Al-Azhar. Abstract

Artikel ini menelaah gagasan pemikiran abad pertengahan Islam, tepatnya gagasan pendidikan Ibn Khaldun. Data kajian ini diperoleh melalui studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan analisis isi. Secara khusus, studi ini membahas tentang biografi singkat Ibn Khaldun yang terdiri atas empat fase, yakni fase perkembangan dan menuntut ilmu, fase politik dan kiprahnya dalam bidang pemerintahan di Maroko dan Andalusia, fase menulis dan bukti karya intelektualnya, dan fase tugasnya dalam bidang pengajaran dan pengadilan di Mesir. Sementara gagasannya dalam bidang pendidikan meliputi hakikat manusia, tujuan pendidikan, kurikulum, metode pembelajaran, pendidik, peserta didik dan lingkungan pendidikan.

Abstract

This paper examines the civilization of pre-Islamic Arab society, which can be said to be a fairly dark civilization. Abstract

Renewal is a necessity that the world from time to time undergoes changes that will not exist in the field of Islamic education. Good education will make an institution that develops and advances so that it is of high quality and produces significant educational goals. According to Abduh, Islamic education institutions need to have a photo that can bridge the two major cultural products in the world, namely Islam and the West. This discussion is important because it tries to construct the thoughts of thought leaders about education and its relevance to Islamic education, then critically analyzed through a historical perspective.Keywords : Renewal. Abstract

Apart from being a means of worship, the Muslim mosque is also an educational centre. This article will discuss the Ghaudiyah mosque, which is used as an educational medium for internalising Islamic values for Muslim Indians in the city of Medan. Through a qualitative method with a historical approach, the research found that the first Ghaudiyah Mosque is the second mosque shaded by the India Seasons Foundation, Medan city. Second, Islamic education activities under the auspices of the Muslim India Foundation are  systematic studies, tahfiz houses, and guidance for converts to Islam, including creed, worship, and morals. A good funding factor makes mosque activities run well, although there are still some converts who do not take regular educational studies.

Abstract

Abstrak:  Studi ini tentang respons Muhammadiyah di Indonesia terhadap ordonansi guru tahun 1905 dan 1925. Melalui metode sosiologis-historis, peneliti menemukan konsistensi sikap Muhammadiyah terhadahap penghapusan aturan tersebut. Muhammadiyah cenderung lebih lunak dalam merespons ordonansi guru 1905, karena hanya mengeluarkan “Motie Persarikatan”. Sementara terhadap ordonansi guru 1925, Muhammadiyah menunjukkan respons yang lebih radikal melalui upaya-upaya penyadaran dan kritik secara terus menerus terhadap pemerintah kolonial Hindia Belanda. Temuan studi ini memperlihatkan keanekaragaman respons Muhammadiyah terhadap ordonansi guru 1905 dan 1925, adakalanya kooperatif namun terkadang bertentangan dengan Belanda. Kata Kunci: Muhammadiyah, Indonesia, Ordonansi Guru Abstract: Muhammadiyah Response Towards Teacher Ordinance at the Turn of the 20th Century Indonesia. This paper studies the Muhammadiyah's response in Indonesia to the teachers' ordinances in 1905 and 1925. Through the sociological-historical method, the researcher found consistency in the Muhammadiyah's attitude regarding the abolition of these rules. Muhammadiyah tends to be more flexible in responding to the 1905 teacher ordinance, because it only issued a "Motie Persarikatan". As for the 1925 teacher ordinance, however, Muhammadiyah showed a more radical response through continuous awareness and criticism of the Dutch East Indies colonial government. The findings of this study show the diversity of Muhammadiyah's responses to the Teacher Ordinances of 1905 and 1925, on the one hand cooperative but sometimes in conflict with the Netherlands on the other. Keywords: Muhammadiyah, Indonesia, teacher ordinance

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine 1) how Islamic civilization was at the time of the Prophet Muhammad. 2) how Islamic thought at the time of the Prophet Muhammad. To find out these two problems, the authors analyzed Islamic civilization and thought at the time of the Prophet Muhammad. in terms of Islamic history during the leadership of the Prophet. This study uses historical research methods. The research method used is to use the historical research method, namely a system of the correct ways to reach historical truth. The results of the research show that there is a figure of the Messenger of Allah SWT. namely, a servant whose presence is eagerly awaited to be able to save and free from the bondage of idolatry. In the midst of a society that is ignorant and perverted, Allah SWT. sent a prophet who gave the right guidance and light, he was the Prophet Muhammad. He was sent with a treatise or teachings from the creator. Give instructions to them about who really has the right to be worshiped and asked for help. Explaining to them the straight path again saves. The Koran and the Sunnah brought real changes to Arabs and nations who embraced Islam. Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the management of character education strengthening activities for students at state Islamic religious universities (PTKIN) in Indonesia, which includes four research focuses, namely: planning, organizing, implementing and assessing. This type of research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The instruments used in the study were observation, interviews, documentation studies and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The research locations are IAIN Padangsidimpuan, North Sumatra and IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, West Java. The analysis of the data used includes two steps, namely reviewing the data based on the research topic and observing repeated meanings as the main theme or pattern of research. The results of this study indicate that: First, the planning of character education strengthening activities is carried out before the character education strengthening program with various coordination activities with the leadership, study programs to lecturers in the form of deliberation to determine things that need to be done in strengthening character education. Second, the process of division of labor is carried out in accordance with the organizational structure in the establishment of character education strengthening institutions at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah, at the study program and faculty level. Third, the implementation of strengthening character education is carried out synergistically between Ma'had al-Jami'ah activities with lecture activities in the form of coordination between the managers of Ma'had Al-Jami'ah and all study programs in each faculty at the PTKIN studied. Fourth, the assessment in character education strengthening activities is carried out in stages and coordinated according to a predetermined time.
