Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of learning design outside the classroom on students' creative thinking skills in social studies learning for fourth-grade elementary school students. This research uses an experimental research method with a quasi-experimental research design non-equivalent control group design. The population of this research is the fourth-grade students of one of the elementary school in Palembang. The samples obtained are the control class in class IVc which consists of 35 students, and the experimental class in class IVa, which consists of 33 students. Data was taken using pretest-posttest and then tested with normality and homogeneity tests. Then given treatment and tested the hypothesis using the independent sample t-test. From the test results, it was found that in testing the dependent variable, the results obtained sig. <0.05, with a score of 0.007 and the result is lower than the significance value. The results of the test state that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a difference in influence between the experimental class and the control class in creative thinking skills. So, the design of outclass learning is more effective than direct learning in improving students' creative thinking skills in social studies learning.Keywords: creative thinking, elementary school students, outclass learning. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh desain pembelajaran di luar kelas terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada pembelajaran IPS siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian quasi eksperimen non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV salah satu sekolah dasar di Palembang, Indonesia dan sampel yang diperoleh adalah kelas kontrol di kelas IVc yang berjumlah 35 siswa dan kelas eksperimen di kelas IVa yang berjumlah 33 siswa. Data diambil dengan memberikan pretest-posttest kemudian diuji dengan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Kemudian diberikan perlakuan dan diuji hipotesis dengan menggunakan independent sample t-test. Dari hasil pengujian diketahui bahwa pada pengujian variabel dependen diperoleh hasil sig. < 0,05, dengan skor 0,007 dan hasilnya lebih rendah dari nilai signifikansinya. Hasil pengujian menyatakan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima yang berarti terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa desain pembelajaran di luar kelas lebih efektif dari pada pembelajaran langsung dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada pembelajaran IPS.Kata kunci: berpikir kreatif, siswa sekolah dasar, pembelajaran di luar kelas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the diffusion process of innovation in coding- and Artificial Intelligence-based learning in primary education and to identify the factors influencing its implementation. This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature study method. Data were obtained from various scientific sources, including books, national and international journal articles, and educational policy documents relevant to the research topic. Data analysis was conducted through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing using descriptive qualitative analysis. The results show that the integration of coding in learning can improve students’ computational thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Meanwhile, the use of Artificial Intelligence enables the development of adaptive and personalized learning systems tailored to students’ learning needs. The diffusion process of technology-based learning innovation in schools occurs through stages of knowledge, persuasion, decision, implementation, and confirmation. The success of implementing this innovation is influenced by several factors, including teachers’ digital competence, the availability of technological infrastructure, and support from educational policies.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of innovation attributes on the diffusion of educational technology within Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum using an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design. Quantitative analysis of 120 elementary teachers revealed that relative advantage and compatibility significantly promote technology adoption, while complexity hinders it. Qualitative findings from a subset of participants elucidate these results, identifying three key contextual drivers that shape the salience of these attributes: (1) institutional and peer support, which enhances perceived ease of use and trialability; (2) pedagogical relevance, which critically underpins perceptions of relative advantage and compatibility; and (3) socio-cultural adaptation, which emerged as a core component of perceived compatibility in this context. Teachers adopt digital tools such as Canva and augmented reality more readily when these tools are embedded within supportive structures and aligned with local pedagogical and cultural contexts. The study extends Rogers’ Diffusion of Innovations theory by theorizing socio-cultural adaptation and institutional readiness not merely as external conditions, but as integral factors that dynamically shape educators' perceptions of core innovation attributes. Findings suggest that meaningful adoption requires not only access to technology but also continuous training, supportive school leadership, and culturally responsive practices to ensure sustainable innovation in primary education.

Abstract

Research in this regard wants to know the application of differential learning can improve the learning outcomes of pupils of the fourth grade of the State Basic School 112 Palembang. This type of research is class action research with two cycles. Using data gathering techniques for test learning results. Based on the results of the study, the student's results at the pre-cycle reached a degree there were 14 pupils with a presentation of 46.66%. Cycle I, there were 22 pupils have a degree of presentation of 73.33%. In the II cycle, the pupils reached the degree of 28 pupils and presentations of 9.33%. Then the application of differential learning was concluded, on the subjects of IPAS class IVA the topic “Energy Transformation” can improve the learning results of pupils.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a metaverse-based learning media product assisted by the Spatial application on bilateral cooperation material in grade VI of SD Negeri 11 Indralaya. This learning media was developed using the ADDIE development model consisting of five stages, namely analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. The validation results carried out by three validators showed that the developed learning media obtained an average score of 94.82% which is categorized as very feasible and valid for use in the implementation stage. Then, a practicality test was conducted by giving a questionnaire to 25 grade VI students. The results of the practicality test showed that the total score obtained was 248 out of a maximum score of 250 with a percentage of 99.2%, which is included in the very practical category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the metaverse-based learning media assisted by the Spatial application is feasible to be used in the learning process on bilateral cooperation material in grade VI of SD Negeri 11 Indralaya.

Abstract

Less interactive learning activities and teachers having difficulty developing interactive learning media have an impact on students' low mastery of concepts. This study aims to develop and implement educational video media based on Powtoon in learning the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) for grade IV of elementary school with the aim of improving students' understanding of the material "Plant Body Parts". This study uses a research and development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The subjects of the study were design experts, media experts, and language experts. The trial subjects were Thirty-One (31) grade IV students in elementary school. The methods used in collecting data were observations, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The data collection instruments used questionnaire sheets and test questions. The techniques used to analyze the data were qualitative and quantitative, and an assessment of 4.83. Language validation with an assessment result of 4.44, which was included in the very valid category. The N-gain of 0.77 shows a high category, indicating that Powtoon-based animated learning videos can significantly improve student learning outcomes. It is concluded that Powtoon-based learning media is efficacious in improving the understanding and learning outcomes of grade IV students in elementary school. The implication of this research is that the Powtoon-based educational video media developed is suitable for use in learning.
