Abstract

This study aims to find out how connectivity and citizenship skills are part of the 21st Century 6C skills in biology students. This is important to know because currently students are in the era of revolution 4.0 and will continue to compete with the times, where preparations for the future job market are more focused on soft skills than hard skills. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive research. The sample in this study were students in class XI-IPA with a total sampling technique of 180 people. The instrument used is a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data collection technique with a closed questionnaire. The data analysis technique is by converting students' raw scores. Based on the research, it was found that the connectivity ability of the students was 81.62% which was included in the "very high" category, while in the citizenship ability the results obtained were 79.70% which were included in the "very high" category . Based on the results of the study it was found that students were able to compete with the times in the future.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Based on observations, not many teachers or lecturers who use educational games are mainly to facilitate students in learning material about taxonomy, especially the classification of plants. Educational game classification of plants based on the koa game is expected to function to facilitate students in learning the classifications that are classified as difficult to memorize. This research is research development. Data collection was carried out by expert validation of educational games and data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. Based on the results of the game education analysis obtained the value of the validity of the game education classification of plants is 89.13 with valid criteria. It can be concluded that the educational game based on koa game is valid, and practicality tests can be done to see the level of practicality of the game. ABSTRAK. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan, belum banyak guru ataupun dosen yang menggunakan game edukasi terutama untuk memudahkan peserta didik dalam mempelajari materi mengenai taksonomi khususnya klasifikasi tumbuhan. Game edukasi klasifikasi tumbuhan berbasis permainan koa diharapkan dapat berfungsi untuk memudahkan peserta didik dalam mempelajari klasifikasi yang tergolong susah untuk dihafalkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memvalidasi game edukasi oleh pakar dan data dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis game edukasi didapatkan nilai validitas game edukasi klasifikasi tumbuhan adalah 89,13 dengan kriteria valid. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa telah dihasilkan game edukasi berbasis permainan koa yang valid dan selanjutnya dapat dilakukan uji praktikalitas untuk melihat tingkat kepraktisan game tersebut.

Abstract

Abstract. 2013 Curriculum hasn’t been done as expected in MAN 3 Pesisir Selatan. Another problem are the mindset of the students about biology that a lot of theory and pictures are dificult to understand, low learning motivation, and the learning model applied by the dominant teacher lecture method. This study aims to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model picture and picture type on student’s learning competencies on Excreation System material of class XI MAN 3 Pesisir Selatan. This type of research is a quasi experimental design randomized control group posttest only design. The research population was all student in class XI MAN 3 Pesisir Selatan enrolled in the 2018/2019 year which amounts to two class. Sampling technique using saturation sampling, class XI MIA 1 as the experimental class and class XI MIA 2 as the control class. Knowledge instrument in the form of posttest, attitude and skill instrument in the form of observation sheet. The data analysis technique used is the t test which is first carried out a prerequisite test, namely the normality test and homoenity test. Based on the result of research on the competency of student knowledge gained value tcount > ttable (2,68>1,67), attitude competence tcount > ttable (3,27>1,67) and skill competence tcount > ttable (1,89 >1,67). This proves that the hypothesis is accepted. The conclusion was that the application of cooperative learning model picture and picture type had a positive effect on student’s learning competencies on Excretion System material class XI MAN 3 Pesisir Selatan. ABSTRAK: Penerapan kurikulum 2013 di MAN 3 Pesisir Selatan belum berjalan sesuai harapan. Masalah yang ditemukan yaitu siswa yang menganggap biologi merupakan pelajaran yang banyak teori dan gambar sehingga sulit dipahami, motivasi belajar rendah, dan model pembelajaran yang diterapkan oleh guru adalah dominan metode ceramah. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture terhadap kompetensi belajar siswa pada materi Sistem Ekskresi kelas XI MAN 3 Pesisir Selatan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental design randomized control group posttest only design. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MAN 3 Pesisir Selatan tahun 2018/2019 yang berjumlah dua kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh, kelas XI MIA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen pengetahuan berupa instrumen posttest, sikap dan keterampilan dalam bentuk lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t dengan uji prasyarat, yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian kompetensi pengetahuan siswa diperoleh nilai thitung> ttabel (2,68> 1,67), kompetensi sikap thitung> ttabel (3,27> 1,67) dan kompetensi keterampilan thitung> ttabel (1, 89> 1,67). Ini membuktikan bahwa hipotesis diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture berpengaruh positif terhadap kompetensi belajar siswa pada materi Sistem Ekskresi kelas XI MAN 3 Pesisir Selatan

Abstract

The availability and use of instructional media that fits the needs of students becomes a problem in learning biology at SMAN 2 Batang Anai, especially in protist material. This is due to the limited skills of teachers in obtaining and developing learning media according to the needs of students. One alternative problem is to develop learning media using the Focusky application equipped with a manufacturing manual. Focusky application will produce learning media that can stimulate students' learning styles with the advantages of drag and drop methods. The purpose of this study was to produce learning media using the Focusky application equipped with a guidebook on protist material for valid class X students. This research is development research (Research and Development) with the Instructional Development Institute (IDI) model which consists of the stages of defining, developing, and evaluating. The research subjects were two biology lecturers at FMIPA UNP and one biology teacher at SMAN 2 Batang Anai. The object of research is learning media using the Focusky application on protist material equipped with a guidebook for class X SMA students. The research data is primary data in the form of data validity which is obtained directly through the provision of validation questionnaires to the research subjects. Based on the results of the study produced learning media using the Focusky application on protist material equipped with a guidebook for students of class X that are valid with an average validity value of 88.82%. ABSTRAK: Ketersediaan dan penggunaan media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa menjadi masalah dalam pembelajaran biologi di SMAN 2 BatangAnai, terutama dalam materi protista. Hal ini disebabkan oleh keterbatasan keterampilan guru dalam memperoleh dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Salah satu masalah alternatif adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi Focusky yang dilengkapi dengan manual manufaktur. Aplikasi Focusky akan menghasilkan media pembelajaran yang dapat merangsang gaya belajar siswa dengan keunggulan metode drag and drop. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi Focusky yang dilengkapi dengan buku panduan tentang bahan protista untuk siswa kelas X yang valid. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model Instructional Development Institute (IDI) yang terdiri dari tahapan mendefinisikan, mengembangkan, dan mengevaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah dua dosen biologi di FMIPA UNP dan satu guru biologi di SMAN 2 BatangAnai. Objek penelitian adalah media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan aplikasi Focusky pada protista materi yang dilengkapi dengan buku panduan untuk siswa sekolah menengah kelas X. Data penelitian adalah data primer dalam bentuk validitas data yang diperoleh langsung melalui pemberian kuesioner validasi kepada subjek penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dihasilkan media pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi Focusky pada materi protist yang dilengkapi dengan buku pedoman untuk siswa kelas X yang valid dengan nilai validitas rata-rata 88,82%.

Abstract

Instagram is one of the social media that is starting to become popular now after YouTube, WhatsApp and Facebook. According to Meta's advertising resources (2023), Instagram users in 2023 will be 89.15 million users in Indonesia. Instagram is a social media that has complete features. Instagram can take photos, videos and can provide filters on these photos and videos which can then be saved to the gallery and can also be uploaded to the Instagram social media account itself so that it can make it easier for teachers to assess the level of skills and creativity of students through photos and videos uploaded to the account. Instagram students. This research aims to find out how much potential there is for using Instagram social media for biology learning at SMAN 2 Padang. This research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. Quantitative data was obtained through data from filling out questionnaires by a number of respondents, namely students of SMAN 2 Padang. Based on the results of data processing, it is known that Instagram has the potential (76.13%) to be used in biology teaching and learning activities, this is due to students' closeness to Instagram, ease of use and Instagram can also be used as a medium for searching for biology learning information. Therefore, biology teachers at SMAN 2 Padang can consider starting to use Instagram in biology lessons. Keywords: Social media, Instagram, Biology learning.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is related to the ability of students to understand the process of the occurrence of science. In order to make it easier for students to improve scientific literacy skills, a media in learning is needed. Powtoon is an interesting application that can improve students' scientific literacy skills. The purpose of this research is to produce audio-visual learning media containing scientific literacy using the Powtoon application on biodiversity material for class X high school students. This research is research and development with the Instructional Development Institute (IDI) model. The research subjects were two lecturers from the Biology department, FMIPA UNP, one Biology teacher at the UNP Laboratory Development High School, and 32 students from class X MIA 1 SMA UNP Laboratory Development. The data obtained in this study are in the form of validity and practicality data. This research produces an Audio-visual Learning Media with Science Literacy Using Powtoon Application on Biodiversity Materials that is valid and practical. Key words: Science Literacy, Powtoon, IDI   Abstrak. Literasi sains berkaitan dengan kemampuan peserta didik dalam memahami proses terjadinya ilmu pengetahuan. Agar memudahkan peserta didik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains diperlukan sebuah media dalam pembalajaran. Powtoon merupakan aplikasi menarik yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan media pembelajaran audio-visual bermuatan literasi sains menggunakan aplikasi powtoon  tentang materi keanekaragaman hayati untuk peserta didik kelas X SMA. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model Instructional Development Institute (IDI). Subjek penelitian adalah dua orang dosen dari jurusan Biologi FMIPA UNP, satu orang guru Biologi SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP, dan 32 orang peserta didik kelas X MIA 1 SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. Data yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini berupa data validitas dan praktikalitas. Abstract

The use of appropriate teaching materials is a very important factor to improve the ability of students to understand learning materials. Therefore, teaching materials are needed that are in accordance with the needs of students. The purpose of this study was to produce LKPD based on a scientific approach accompanied by critical thinking exercises on virus material for class X SMA/MA that were valid and practical. This type of research is research and development using the ADDIE development model. At the development stage, validation is carried out by the validator. Meanwhile, at the implementation stage, the product was not tested, but only a practical questionnaire was given to teachers and students. The research instrument used is a validity questionnaire and a practicality questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, the resulting LKPD has very valid criteria with a validity value of 88.6% and the practicality value by teachers and students has very practical criteria with a practicality value of 95.8% and 95.3%. Thus, it can be concluded that the developed worksheets can be used in learning. Key words: Student Worksheet, Scientific Approach, Critical Thinking, Virus   ABSTRAK Penggunaan bahan ajar yang tepat merupakan faktor yang sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam memahami materi pembelajaran. Maka dari itu, dibutuhkan bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan LKPD berbasis pendekatan saintifik disertai latihan berpikir kritis pada materi virus kelas X SMA/MA yang valid dan praktis. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Pada tahap development dilakukan validasi oleh validator. Sedangkan pada tahap implementation produk tidak diujikan, melainkan hanya diberikan angket praktikalitas pada guru dan peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu angket validitas dan angket praktikalitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, LKPD yang dihasilkan memiliki kriteria sangat valid dengan nilai validitas 88.6% dan nilai praktikalitas oleh guru dan peserta didik memiliki kriteria sangat praktis dengan nilai praktikalitas 95.8% dan 95.3%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan sudah dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik, Pendekatan Saintifik, Berpikir Kritis, Virus

Abstract

This study aims to determine tehe need for biology learning in the form of electronic student worksheets based on problem based learning on biodiversity material for class X at MAN 2 Padang. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The method used to collect data is through distributing questionnaires to class X students and distributing questionnaires to biology teachers. The results of the analysis of student questinnaires and teacher questionnaires indicate that the material on biodiversity is one of the materials considered constrained in learning. The learning resources provided by the teacher are in the form of biology textbooks, power points, LKPD, etc., but their learning outcomes tend to be constant, so it is necessary to have a variety of learning media. One solution to this problem is to develop learning media in the form of valid and practical electronic student worksheets. abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan media pembelajaran biologi berupa lembar kerja peserta didik elektronik berbasis problem based learning pada materi keanekaragaman hayati untuk kelas X di MAN 2 Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data yaitu melalui penyebaran angket kepada peserta didik kelas X dan penyebaran angket kepada guru biologi. Hasil analisis angket peserta didik dan angket guru menunjukkan bahwa materi keanekaragaman hayati merupakan salah satu materi yang dianggap terkendala dalam pembelajaran. Sumber belajaar yang diberikan guru berupa buku paket biologi, power point, LKPD, dll, namun hasil belajar mereka cenderung tetap, sehingga sangat diperlukan adanya  variasi media    pembelajaran. Salah satu solusi dari permasalahan ini adalah dengan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa lembar kerja peserta didik elektronik yang valid dan praktis. Kata kunci: analisis kebutuhan, LKPD elektronik, problem based learning, keanekaragaman hayati.

Abstract

This study aims to provide teaching materials in the form of biological worksheets based on TPS syntax on valid and practical excretory system materials at SMAN 1 Batang Anai. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The method used to collect data is through distributing questionnaires to class XI students and distributing questionnaires to biology teachers. The results of the questionnaire and student analysis showed that the excretory system material was one of the materials considered constrained in learning. In learning, students are often monotonous without any interaction with their classmates, so variations in teaching materials are needed so that students are more active in learning and socially active. One solution to this problem is to develop teaching materials in the form of student worksheets based on valid and practical think pair and share syntax. Key words: needs analysis, TPS-based LKPD, excretory system   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan bahan ajar berupa Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) biologi berbasis sintaks Think Pair and Share (TPS) pada materi sistem ekskresi yang valid dan praktis di SMAN 1 Batang Anai. Jenis penelitian ini adalag deskriptif kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data yaitu melalui penyebaran angket kepada peserta didik kelas XI dan penyebaran angket kepada guru biologi. Hasil analisis angket dan peserta didik menunjukan bahwa materi sistem ekskresi merupakan salah satu materi yang dianggap terkendala dalam pembelajaran. Dalam pembelajaran seringkali peserta didik monoton tanpa adanya interaksi dengan teman kelasnya, sehingga diperlukan variasi dalam bahan ajar agar peserta didik lebih giat belajar dan aktif dalam sosial. Salah satu solusi dari permasalahan ini adalah dengan mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa lembar kerja peserta didik berbasis sintaks think pair and share yang valid dan praktis. Abstract

The development of Science and Technology (IPTEK) provides changes in the field of education, especially in the learning media used. Now learning media can be presented in digital form which provides opportunities for students to learn independently, one of these media is e-module. E-modules are teaching materials that are packaged in digital form and presented in a more interactive form. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity of interactive e-modules using Smart Apps Creator containing a contextual teaching and learning about ecosystem materials for high school students. This research is a development research with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects were 2 Biology lecturers, FMIPA UNP, 1 Biology teacher at SMAN1 Payakumbuh. The data obtained in this study are in the form of observation data and validity data. This research produces an Interactive E-Modul Using Smart Apps Creator with a contextual approach to Ecosystem Materials for High School Students. abstrak. Perkembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (IPTEK) memberikan perubahan pada bidang pendidikan terutama pada media pelajaran yang digunakan. Sekarang media pelajaran bisa disajikan dalam bentuk digital yang memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk belajar secara mandiri, satu diantara media tersebut adalah e-modul. E-modul merupakan bahan ajar yang dikemas dalam bentuk digital dan sajikan lebih dalam bentuk yang lebih interaktif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui validitas e-modul interaktif menggunakan Smart Apps Creator bermuatan pendekatan kontekstual tentang materi ekosistem untuk peserta didik di SMA. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian adalah 2 orang dosen Biologi  FMIPA UNP, 1 orang guru Biologi SMAN1 Payakumbuh. Data didapatkan dalam penelitian ini berupa data observasi dan data validitas. Penelitian ini menghasilkan E-Modul Interaktif Menggunakan Smart Apps Creator Bermuatan Pendekatan kontekstual tentang Materi Ekosistem untuk Peserta Didik di SMA.
