Abstract

This research is an experimental research which aims to see the effect of make a match learning model on students' knowledge competency in circulatory system material at SMPN 3 Payakumbuh academic year 2018/2019. The implementation of the study did not allow the researcher to control variabel as a whole so that this study belongs to the quasi experiment category with a randomized control group posttest only design. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis techniques using statistical tests namely t test. The results of the statistical test show that in a significant term (α = 0.05) obtained the value of tcount> t table, which is 3.32> 1.67 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It can be concluded that the knowledge competency of students by using the make a match learning model is higher than the knowledge competency of students who use conventional learning. It can be interpreted that there is the influence of the make a match learning model on students' knowledge competencies in circulatory system material at SMPN 3 Payakumbuh.

Abstract

There are not many articles that discuss the application of the Talking Chips type cooperative learning model or also known as the jingling buttons in the study of Biology, there are differences in the dependent variables discussed in each article and there has been no research with a literature study on the effect of applying the cooperative learning model type. Talking Chips on the learning competence of SMA/Vocational High School students became the background of the researcher in writing this thesis. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying the Talking Chips learning model on the learning competence of SMA/SMK students based on a literature study. The type of research used is literature study research which refers to the research conducted previously. The data used in the form of secondary data in the form of articles in journals that have been accredited by SINTA and related to the application of the Talking Chips type cooperative learning model to the learning competencies of SMA/SMK students. The research sample is all sample members who are applied with the Talking Chips type cooperative learning model contained in the specified article.Learning by using the Talking Chips model is able to improve the learning competence of students in the aspects of knowledge competence, attitude competence, and skill competence. It is hoped that this research can be a source of information and reference in the use of the Talking Chips learning model so that effective learning can be carried out.

Abstract

Classroom action research has the character to find and solve problems in the learning process. By conducting action researchs the ability of teachers to master classroom conditions will increase, so that students' understanding of material will increase. Further impact, students' interest in learning will increase rapidly. But there are still many teachers who are unable to carry out this action research. In Pasaman District, this problem arose. Action is needed to train teachers to be able to carry out classroom action research. We have carried out community service in the form of workshops on making proposals and preparing research reports for teachers. We carry out activities for 1 month, in accordance with the agreement of the team, the school principal and the district head. The workshop was held at Pasaman 23rd Public Elementary School. Participants are teachers from several schools, as many as 40 people. The workshop instructor is a Classroom Action Research expert. Based on the satisfaction questionnaire, we learned that the workshop material had increased teacher understanding, a score of 92.24. The workshop method has trained the teacher's ability, a score of 89.66. Workshop techniques have improved the quality of learning and improved teacher skills, a score of 93.10. Finally, the workshop product has increased the teacher's understanding of classroom action research, a score of 93.10. Based on these data it was concluded that the overall workshop implementation had improved teacher competency.
