Abstract

One type of moral crime is molestation, which is committed against adults and often minors. Children who are victims of crimes, whether directly or indirectly, experience various physical and non-physical disturbances. Sexual crimes also often occur in workplaces, offices, or other places where people of different genders communicate with each other, even within families. The increasing trend of sexual crimes against adult women and minors is quite concerning. The method used is normative juridical. This is used to determine how the principles and standards contained in legislation are applied.

Abstract

Abstract

The national literacy crisis is a serious challenge for the education system in Indonesia. This research examines the educational strategies implemented at Darul Ma’arif High School in an effort to improve student literacy and analyzes the role of the government in supporting the improvement of literacy quality at the secondary school level. This research uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview and observation methods to understand the learning strategies, infrastructure, and literacy programs implemented at Darul Ma’arif High School and through a community service approach in the form of socialization themed "Exploring Your Future, What Major Are You Interested in?". It was carried out as an effort to arouse students' interest in literacy for their awareness in choosing majors. Through a survey in the form of a form, it is expected to measure students' understanding and response to the material presented to be an indicator of their absorption of literacy. The results show that collaboration between schools and government is needed to create a learning environment conducive to improving literacy. This joint effort includes providing supporting facilities, training teachers and developing a relevant curriculum. The findings are expected to provide input for stakeholders in designing strategies to deal with the national literacy crisis.

Abstract

This activity addresses the themes of literacy and guidance on gadget use, aiming to equip children at Sekolah Master Depok with the skills needed to navigate modern life while maintaining positive activities like reading. In an increasingly sophisticated digital world, gadgets are not something foreign across all age groups, including children. While these technologies provide easy access to both beneficial and harmful content, the need for digital literacy has never been more urgent. UNESCO reports that Indonesia’s reading interest index is just 0.001%, meaning only one in every 1,000 Indonesians is an avid reader. Furthermore, Senior Economist Aviliani of INDEF highlights that Indonesia's digital literacy rate is only 62%, the lowest in ASEAN, where the average is around 70%. In response to these concerns, this activity was implemented at schools that cater to children with limited access to educational resources. Several strategies were employed, including explaining the positive impacts of literacy, introducing books and educational apps, discussing the negative consequences of excessive gadget use, and guiding students on how to use gadgets for productive purposes. The final results (outputs) produced from the activity that will be achieved are in the form of articles, videos, and posters designed to encourage positive behaviors. The expected benefits include a greater interest in literacy and the responsible use of gadgets, particularly for children in underprivileged areas. Additionally, the program aims to prevent the negative effects of digital devices, such as exposure to pornography and online gambling.

Abstract

The state has an obligation to guarantee the human rights of all members of society, including people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). However, in practice, the human rights of PLWHA are often violated through various forms of discrimination. One way the state provides legal guarantees is by enacting legislation related to specific issues. This is the objective of the author's research: to examine PLWHA from a human rights perspective and the urgency of formulating legislation in the context of legal protection for people living with HIV/AIDS. The author employs a Normative Juridical research method in this study. The findings of the research indicate that people living with HIV/AIDS, or PLWHA, still possess human rights despite often being targets of human rights violations in Indonesia. Consequently, the formation of legislation for the legal protection of PLWHA must be expedited to ensure their legal protection.

Abstract

Introduction: Perpetrators of obscene acts have carried out various criminal acts. Obscene acts are included in sexual violence that results in physical and psychological suffering.Purposes of the Research: This study aims to analyze the fulfillment of the rights of victims of obscene acts, whether it is appropriate or not. This is based on the phenomenon of indecent acts; the more extended the number of victims increases. Methods of the Research: This study uses a normative juridical method with a statute and case approach. Results of the Research: The results of the study indicate that the rights of victims of obscene acts have been regulated and guaranteed in the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the Law on Human Rights, the Law for the Protection of Witnesses and Victims and the Act on the Crime of Sexual Violence. However, the problem is in the fulfillment of these rights, even though constitutionally, the duties and obligations of fulfilling the rights of victims are borne by the State, which in this case is in the components of the Criminal Justice System, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, The National Commission on Human Rights, the National Commission on Violence Against Women and the Witness and Victim Protection Agency. The importance of supervision and compliance with the application of rights in everyday life will determine how successful the State is in carrying out its obligations in fulfilling the requests of victims. So it is essential to cooperate between Ministries, Institutions, National Commissions, and law enforcement officials to realize the fulfillment of the rights of victims of criminal acts of obscenity.
