Abstract

The optimization of students' learning outcomes in Indonesian language through the Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition (CIRC) model among fourth-grade students at SDN 237 Pinrang was investigated with the aim of enhancing their comprehension and writing skills. The study was conducted over three cycles using methods that encompassed planning, implementation, observation, and continuous reflection on the learning process. Results indicated significant improvement in student achievement: from 60% not yet proficient and 40% proficient in Cycle 1, to 50% proficient and 50% not yet proficient in Cycle 2, and reaching 90% proficiency with only 10% of students not yet proficient in Cycle 3. Data analysis involved ongoing formative evaluation to monitor individual and group progress. In conclusion, the CIRC model proved effective in enhancing Indonesian language learning outcomes among fourth-grade students at SDN 237 Pinrang, consistently supporting students' abilities in comprehending and expressing texts in writing.

Abstract

Abstract

This study was motivated by the role of schools in addressing juvenile delinquency and promiscuity through the instillation of religious character values within the educational environment. The study aims to describe and analyze the process of internalizing religious character values through the Al-Qur'an completion ceremony at Pasundan 1 High School in Bandung. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentary analysis. The results indicate that the instillation of religious character is carried out in a structured manner through decentralized Quran recitation sessions in each class every Monday through Friday from 8:30–8:45 a.m. WIB, supported by the practice of bringing a physical copy of the Qur’an, guidelines on hijab etiquette, restrictions on the use of electronic devices, contemplative methods led by Islamic Education teachers to contextualize religious values, and teachers serving as role models. The study concluded that the Qur’an completion (khataman) activity successfully integrated the “Nyantri, Nyunda, Nyakola” philosophy of YPDM Pasundan into the school ecosystem, while also fostering a transformation in students’ motivation toward independent spiritual awareness that arises from their inner needs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of literacy management in improving students’ learning achievement in the subject of Islamic Cultural History (Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam/SKI) at MTs Sabilul Anwar, Tebo Regency, Jambi Province, and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting the development of literacy culture within the school environment. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, Islamic Cultural History teachers, students, and parents. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that literacy management was implemented through reading habituation programs, literacy-based assignments, library utilization, group discussions, presentations, and the use of supplementary learning resources related to Islamic Cultural History. The literacy culture significantly enhanced students’ understanding of learning materials, strengthened their critical thinking skills, increased learning motivation, and positively influenced their academic achievement. Supporting factors included teachers’ commitment, parental involvement, the availability of library facilities, and access to educational technology. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors consisted of students’ varying reading interests, limited access to reading materials, time constraints, and unequal internet accessibility. The study concludes that literacy culture serves as a strategic instrument for improving the quality of Islamic Cultural History learning and should be continuously strengthened through collaboration among schools, families, and communities. The findings contribute to the development of literacy-based learning strategies in Islamic educational institutions and emphasize the importance of sustainable literacy management in enhancing students’ academic performance.

Abstract

Water is the largest natural resource in Indonesia and it is easy to use in its utilization. Water that can be utilized directly from the river or by collecting rainwater in a tando pond orreservoir and then flowing it to turn a turbine. To utilize the available water resources, thegovernment always builds and maintains its facilities and infrastructure, including bybuilding dams. Unpredictable rain intensity, especially in the Lampung area, can cause a lackof optimal water release. If the release of water is not optimal, then the need for water willnot be obtained optimally, but the presence of water in the reservoir cannot always be fulfilledwhen it is needed. The Batu Tegi Dam is an important dam for the needs of the surroundingwatershed and Tanggamus. When building a system, optimization is an importantcomponent. System design can reduce processing time, among others through optimization.Mathematical functions are usually used to describe optimization problems. The process ofmaximizing or minimizing the objective function while taking into account the existingconstraints is known as optimization. This calculation uses the Microsoft Excel 2021application. By analyzing the optimal release discharge, as well as displaying the optimaldischarge value in 2022 using the Genetic Algorithm method. This method is the expertise offlexibility and accuracy when maximizing complex systems. The results of this study obtainoptimal discharge before and after using the Genetic Algorithm (GA) method with a timeseries of 2018 to 2022, making a discharge discharge curve in 2022. Keywords: Genetic Algorithm, Dam, Release Optimization
