Abstract

Abstract The curriculum has an important role in the quality of education. Curriculum implementation in Indonesia is centered on the government but is the authority of each madrasah, because this type of curriculum implementation model, which is called top down up, is used in our country. The 2013 curriculum is now a reference that is considered effective for student behavior, so the government will implement it in all educational institutions in Indonesia, both public and private schools. Madrasah are private schools under the auspices of the department of religion, often madrasah are neglected by the government's appreciation, but we need to know that madrasah have carried out many innovations and evaluations of the 2013 curriculum. In this way the author discusses things that can be evaluated on factors that support the implementation of the curriculum 2013 at the Manahijussadat Islamic Boarding School, especially at the Manahijussadat Islamic Boarding School Madrasah Aliyah. In this research, researchers used qualitative descriptive methods with data collected using participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. This research resulted that an evaluation of curriculum implementation at the Manahijussadat Islamic boarding school was carried out covering aspects of teacher preparation, facilities and infrastructure, principal management, school environment, community and financing. Curriculum evaluation on these aspects has been carried out well and the evaluation results are used as a basis for improving the quality of the learning curriculum for the next school year.

Abstract

Cybercrime, as a modern form of criminal activity, presents unique challenges due to its reliance on information and communication technology, the anonymity of perpetrators, and its cross-jurisdictional nature. This phenomenon encompasses a wide range of illegal activities, including hacking, identity theft, the spread of malware, on line fraud, and child exploitation in cyberspace. While legal frameworks and technological measures are essential in combating cybercrime, they are often insufficient to address the complex and evolving nature of cybercrime. The criminological approach provides a multidimensional perspective for understanding society's motives, behavior and responses to cybercrime. By integrating criminological theories, such as labeling theory and routine activity theory, this approach explores the root causes of cybercriminal behavior. Additionally, criminology offers insights into preventative measures and the development of more effective policies to mitigate cybercrime. This paper highlights the importance of applying a criminological framework to analyze cybercrime and proposes strategies for solving it through a combination of legal, technological interventions

Abstract

Introduction: An emergency is a situation or condition where there is an immediate threat or occurrence of harm that may lead to further damage (loses). In modern times, emergency preparedness has become a critical aspect of daily life, particularly in school environments. Incidents such as accidents, fires, and the need for first aid interventions highlight the increasing importance of emergency training for students. Objective: To analyze the effect of emergency training on improving students' knowledge and skills in managing emergencies. Method: This study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. A total of 81 students from MAN 2 Palu participated in the study. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to assess changes in knowledge and skills, with a significance level set at p < 0.05. Result:. The mean pretest knowledge score was 9.16 (SD: 1.94), and the posttest score was 17.54 (SD: 0.67). The Wilcoxon test indicated a significant improvement in knowledge following the training (p = 0.000, p < 0.05). Similarly, the mean pretest score for basic life support skills was 3.44 (SD: 0.63), which increased to 5.93 (SD: 0.26) post-training. The mean score for splint dressing skills improved from 2.37 (SD: 0.64) pretest to 7.93 (SD: 0.30) posttest, and choking aid skills improved from 2.69 (SD: 0.54) to 3.98 (SD: 0.15) posttest. All skill improvements were statistically significant (p = 0.000, p < 0.05), which means providing emergency training has a positive effect on improving emergency skills among students. Conclusion: Emergency training significantly improves both the knowledge and skills of students in managing emergencies. This training is expected to improve students' ability to provide effective first aid in emergencies before professional medical assistance is available.

Abstract

Understanding the vulnerability of school shelters to tsunamis is crucial for developing effective mitigation strategies and increasing the resilience of coastal communities in the education sector. SDN 02 Sasak Ranah Pasisia, an elementary school in West Pasaman Regency, West Sumatera, Indonesia, had a shelter building constructed in 2010. However, the construction remains incomplete. A structural assessment using current Indonesian building codes and vulnerability analysis is necessary to proceed with construction and ensure the building’s strength against the working loads. Thestructural assessment revealed that several columns could not support the working load, necessitating local retrofitting. In this study, the retrofitting of the building was designed using concrete jacketing. Furthermore, structural fragility curves of the school building were developed before and after retrofitting against earthquake and tsunami loads. The seismic fragility curve was determined from the maximum displacement of the building for varied earthquake acceleration, using nonlinear time history dynamic response analysis scaled using the incremental dynamic analysis method and damage limits defined by ATC-40, characterized by Hazus. Meanwhile, the tsunami fragility curve was determined from the maximum displacement due to tsunami load for each variation of tsunami inundation depth. The vulnerability analysis results indicated that retrofitting the school building with concrete jacketing reduces the probability of building damage due to earthquake loads by 18% at the level of complete damage at a PGA of 0.520 g (based on the Indonesian Seismic Map). Similarly, it reduced the probability of building damage due to tsunami loads by 20%, at the level of complete damage corresponding to a tsunami wave height of 5.00 m for West Pasaman, Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of classroom management, learning environment, and academic stress on the psychology of students of the Elementary Education Study Program (PGSD) at Jambi University within the framework of technology-based education. Quantitative methodology was used to collect data from 230 active PGSD students using a courage questionnaire. Data analysis used Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). This study tested six hypotheses: Learning environment (X1) has a positive effect on student psychology (Y1). P-value: 0.018 (Supported); Hypothesis 2: Classroom management (X2) has a positive effect on the learning environment (X1). P-value: 0.045 (Supported); Hypothesis 3: Classroom management (X2) has a negative effect on academic stress (X3). P-value: 0.000 (Supported); H4: Academic stress (X3) has a positive effect on student psychology (Y1). P-value: 0.034 (Supported); H5: Classroom management (X2) has a positive effect on students’ psychology (Y1). P-value: 0.021 (Supported); Hypothesis 6: Learning environment (X1) has a positive effect on academic stress (X3). P-value: 0.000 (Confirmed). The results of the study indicate that the sixth hypothesis is supported by significant findings. A conducive learning environment and competent classroom management reduce academic stress and improve students’ psychological well-being. Academic stress significantly affects students’ psychology, depending on its intensity. These findings highlight the importance of an effectively managed learning environment and classroom in improving students’ mental health. This study is limited to one university and relies on self-reported data. Future studies should investigate a more heterogeneous population and integrate qualitative methodologies to encompass a broader range of students’ perspectives. This study offers important insights for educators and policymakers to improve teaching practices and promote children’s psychological well-being in PGSD programs.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the form and meaning of the E-Sports commentator register on the social media youtube MPL ID S8 Playoffs. To solve the problem, this study uses a sociolinguistic approach. Research data is a list of e-sports commentators containing registers, with YouTube video data sources Mobile Legend Bang-bang Indonesia and informants. The data is networked using the log-in and interview methods. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using alternative techniques with reference to the problems that have been formulated. Research results show that the register on E-Sports commentators can be (1) words formed through the process of affixing, reduplication, and abbreviation, as well as (2) phrases that include nominals, verbs, adjectives, and numerals. Furthermore, the meaning formed in the E-Sports commentator registry is divided into two groups of meaning, namely the limited circle registry and the open circular registry. The limited circular register has a narrow meaning coverage with a limited number. On the contrary, the open circle register has an extensive meaning cover with a number that tends to expand.
