Abstract

The spreading of Islam is one of the dynamic aspects of America. Islam has been brought to America by various people from different ethnicities, nationalities, and community backgrounds. This makes Islam in America appears in so many faces. One of the big moments of the history of Islam in America is the immigrant wave from Middle East which created new domination amongst American Muslims. This paper discusses one of the prominent figures from that era whose influences are big enough at that time and can still be seen today in America: Ismail Raji al-Faruqi. The researcher used a library study in writing this paper by using writings of al-Faruqi as primary data sources and other researchers’ writings as secondary data sources. This research concluded that there was some sort of dynamics of influence between al-Faruqi and America. It means that on one hand, al-Faruqi influenced Islam in America, but on the other hand, American social-cultural conditions also influenced al-Faruqi at some level.

Abstract

Studi ini dimaksudkan untuk mengidentifikasi dampak Kompetensi Digital dan Work Life Balance Terhadap Kinerja Pegawai pada PERUMDA Air Minum Kota Langsa. Kajian ini memakai metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan teknik simple random sampling terhadap 103 partisipan. Alat pengumpulan data berupa angket berskala Likert dan dianalisis melalui regresi linier berganda menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS edisi ke-24. Uji normalitas, heteroskedastisitas, dan multikolinearitas mengindikasikan bahwa data telah memenuhi syarat asumsi klasik. Hasil uji parsial (t-test) memperlihatkan bahwa kinerja karyawan dipengaruhi oleh dua faktor yaotu kompetensi digital dan juga work life balance. Uji simultan (F-test) juga memperlihatkan pengaruh kedua variabel secara bersama-sama. Nilai Adjusted R² sebesar 0,561 menyiratkan bahwa 50,9% variasi dalam kinerja pegawai dijelaskan oleh dua variabel tersebut. Dengan demikian, kompetensi digital dan Work Life Balance telah terbukti mampu meningkatkan kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

Desa Matang Ara Jawa is one of the coastal areas that is currently trying to build rice field tourism as its BUMK business unit. It was identified that efforts to develop the competitiveness of the business unit towards the Tourism 4.0 era experienced a major obstacle, namely the absence of a business logo and brand design. Therefore, the focus of this activity is to offer assistance solutions in designing the logo and brand design of the rice field tourism business owned by BUMK Matang Ara Jawa. The service method uses an active participatory approach that positions Partners as the main actors in every stage, starting from material planning and activity schedules, preparing activity tools and materials, through implementing supervision and evaluation of the performance of activities. The result obtained is a logo or brand design of a rice field tourism business in Desa Matang Ara Jawa which has obtained an intellectual property rights (IPR) certificate.

Abstract

An area where a fire occurs is generally covered in smoke, hot air and dangerous for firefighters to enter. Robotics technology, especially mobile robots, makes it possible to be used as a rescuer to replace the role of the firefighter team. The task of the rescue mobile robot is to thoroughly explore the area and then on the next iteration, the mobile robot is able to find the shortest path by eliminating paths that lead to dead ends. The robot's ability to map and choose the shortest path is the goal of this research. The path is a black line intersecting at a 90° angle. The method applied to achieve the objectives in this research is the maze mapping algorithm left hand rule. The maze solving algorithm left hand rule method was chosen as a solution to plan the shortest path in a maze-shaped environment by creating codes such as L (Left), S (Straigh) and U (Dead End). After the codes were compiled from the mapping process, the code was simplified so that the robot could find a way out of the maze with the shortest path. The success rate was 90%, out of ten tests using the maze mapping left hand rule method, resulting in nine successes and one failure. The fastest mapping time was 23 seconds and the average was 62 seconds, while the shortest time was 8 seconds and the average was 27 seconds.

Abstract

The changing global business landscape has placed human capital as one of the strategic elements in creating competitive advantage and improving organisational performance. In this context, understanding the role of human capital on value creation and its impact on financial performance has become increasingly relevant. This study aims to review and synthesise the literature that discusses the relationship between human capital, value creation, and financial performance through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. This type of research is descriptive qualitative that relies on secondary data from scientific articles published in the period 2009-2024. The literature analysed was selected from reputable databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar, using a purposive sampling technique, with a total of 60 articles that met the inclusion criteria. The location and time of the study were not geographically limited due to the global nature of the literature. The results of the analysis show that human capital directly and indirectly affects financial performance, through a value creation mechanism that includes innovation, efficiency, and optimisation of internal processes. The effectiveness of the relationship is also influenced by various contextual factors such as organisational strategy, work culture, and industry dynamics. The implications of these findings drive the importance of strategically integrating human capital development with value creation processes to sustainably improve organisational financial performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of animated video media with pictures on learning interest in reading skills of elementary school students based on the results of previous research. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data collection through Google Scholar. Inclusion criteria include (1) vulnerable articles in 2019-2024, (2) keywords used “animated video media with pictures”, “interest in learning”. (3) full text articles, (4) in Indonesian or English. Of the 260 documents related to animated video media with pictures, and of these 172 articles were obtained specifically discussing the context of interest in learning, only 15 articles met the inclusion criteria for the analysis stage. Data analysis includes identification and selection of articles based on inclusion criteria, data extraction, selection based on relevance, and thematic analysis of research findings. The findings show that animated video media with pictures is effective in increasing interest in learning through visual and audio presentations that are able to attract attention, create a pleasant learning atmosphere, and encourage active involvement during the learning process, especially in reading skills. In addition, the use of animation has been shown to help students understand reading content more easily through multisensory stimulation that is in line with their developmental characteristics. Based on the synthesis of findings, animated video media with pictures can be recommended as an alternative innovative and relevant learning media to support increasing interest in learning reading skills in elementary school students.

Abstract

Kelompok pengolahan dan pemasaran (Poklahsar) Harapan Ibu merupakan salah satu kelompok unggulan di Desa Sungai Kuruk III yang memiliki usaha kepiting rajungan kupas, dalam sehari kelompok ini dapat menghasilkan 70 kilogram daging kepiting dari 300 kilogram kepiting utuh, akan tetapi selama ini produk yang di hasilkan langsung di jual kepada penampung dengan harga jual dibawah pasar. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan strategi pemasaran secara online agar produk dapat dipasarkan secara luas dengan harga diatas standar, sehingga dapat meningkatkan omset kelompok. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk memberikan pendampingan pembuatan merek/label, dan kemasan yang menarik guna meningkatkan daya saing produk. Metode yang digunakan adalah Sosialisasi dan Pelatihan dengan melibatkan partisipatif mitra dalam setiap tahapan kegiatan. Hasil pengabdian ini diperoleh merek/label usaha mitra dan akun e-commerce penjualan produk mitra. Kesimpulan kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa 91% mitra setuju bahwa pentingnya memiliki merek usaha, 90% mitra memahami strategi pemasaran usaha kepiting kupas, 84% mitra terampil menggunakan aplikasi penjualan dan media sosial untuk pemasaran usaha.

Abstract

Diskusi awal dengan pejabat Desa Gelanggang Merak mengidentifikasi tiga permasalahan penting yang dihadapi BUMDes “Merak Jaya”, yaitu: (1)kebutuhan para pengurus memahami lebih baik tentang tata kelola organisasi termasuk manajemen SDM yang dimiliki; (2)penguatan semangat kewirausahaan yang dimiliki; serta, (3)kemampuan mengidentifikasi peluang produk unggulan desa yang dapat dikembangkan. Metode pendampingan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif aktif yaitu dengan memposisikan mitra sebagai pelaku utama mulai tahap perencanaan materi dan jadwal kegiatan, penyiapan alat dan bahan, sampai aktivitas pengawasan atas kinerja kegiatan. Hasil yang dicapai dalam kegiatan yaitu adanya peningkatan pemahaman pengurus tentang tata kelola BUMDes terutama penyusunan AD/ART dan Proker organisasi,  termasuk strategi perencanaan mentoring dan coaching secara reguler dari para akademisi maupun praktisi berpengalaman sebagai bagian pengembangan SDM milik BUMDes maupun anggota masyarakat; penguatan semangat kewirausahaan pengurus  melalui lima pola pikir yang harus dimiliki seorang wirausaha; serta berhasil dirumuskan Business Model Canvas (BMC) sebagai blueprint pengembangan bisnis unggulan Desa Gelanggang Merak yang komprehensif dan terencana dengan baik. Adanya respon positif tercermin dari  antusiasme tanya-jawab peserta menumbuhkan harapan keberlanjutan kegiatan PKM ini.

Abstract

The Kampoeng Bunga Grangsil Service Cooperative in Jambangan Village, Malang Regency, has significant potential to develop a creative economy based on ornamental plants, yet economic activities have declined due to limited product innovation. This community service program aimed to revitalize local economic potential through ecoprint training and mentoring as a strategy for cooperative business diversification. The program was implemented through preliminary observation, participatory training, hands-on practice, and evaluation of sustainability outcomes. The results indicated a 62% increase in participants’ understanding of ecoprint techniques. Approximately 85% of participants were able to produce independent ecoprint products, while 80% expressed interest in developing ecoprint-based businesses. The activity improved community technical skills and strengthened the role of the cooperative as a center for village creative-economic development. Furthermore, the program supports the achievement of SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) through environmentally friendly technology and community-based economic empowerment.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and embed Social Emotional Learning (SEL) into daily school routines as a strategy to foster 21st-century communication skills among senior high school students in Indonesia. Grounded in the Whole School Approach (WSA) and Trikon values from Ki Hadjar Dewantara’s philosophy, this research emphasizes the role of daily practices—such as morning greetings, emotional check-ins, reflective sharing, and optimistic closure as integral instruments to cultivate students’ communication competence. Unlike temporary or subject-based instructional strategies, embedding SEL into school routines offers a sustainable and systemic cultural transformation within the school environment. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Four-D Model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Participants were Grade XI students from three senior high schools representing diverse geographical and socio-cultural contexts. Data were collected through observations, interviews, journals, and authentic communication assessments, analyzed using a qualitative-dominant mixed methods design to capture both behavioral narratives and measurable indicators. Findings reveal that integrating SEL into school routines enhances students’ ability to express themselves clearly, listen actively, collaborate empathetically, and engage in constructive dialogue. Teachers reported that the routines created a more supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere, while students demonstrated improved confidence and resilience in academic and social interactions. In conclusion, embedding SEL into daily routines not only strengthens communication skills but also institutionalizes character education through culturally rooted practices. This model provides a replicable framework for Indonesian schools to advance holistic education, aligning with the vision of the Kurikulum Merdeka and the Profile of Pancasila Students.
