Abstract

This study aims to develop, to analyze the feasibility, and to describe students' responses to the video tutorial learning media using the Sony Vegas Pro 13 software on palm oil waste processing material in the Craft material d. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development / RD). The video tutorial learning media developed in this study is the ADDIE model which has five stages, namely, (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development (4) Implementation and (5 ) Evaluation. Data collection was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Sampoiniet with 20 students taken from class X. The feasibility of video tutorial media was assessed by Experts at 93.18% and student responses to the video tutorial media developed were 91.8% each with a very good category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the video tutorial media developed is very suitable for use in the learning process of waste treatment materials.

Abstract

It has been conducted a research entitled "enforcement analysis of the works in chemistry studies at Banda Aceh high school." The purpose of this study is to analyse the practice of chemistry studies in all high schools in Banda Aceh. The kind of research used was descriptive research with a survey approach. This research was conducted at high school in Banda Aceh. The reasons for the selection of a research facility, based on observations of high school researchers in the city of Banda Aceh is still lack of practical activities. The population in this study are all the teachers of chemistry in Banda Aceh high school of 78 people. The sample used in this study is twenty five of chemistry teachers. The selection of samples is conducted in a random sampling way by the researchers' consideration that the sample was considered homogeneous since high school at Banda Aceh was accredited to A. Data collection techniques were carried out by a wider distribution of questionnaires. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Based on research done on the implementation of the practice in chemistry  at the high school of Banda Aceh, it could be concluded that the performance of the law in chemical study at the city high school of BandaAceh was perfectly great with an average percentage of what obtained was 88%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop, analyze the feasibility and describe the responses of students and teachers according to the newsletter learning media on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution material. This type of this research is (Research and Development/ RD). The newsletter learning media developed in this study according to ADDIE model which has five stages: (1) analysis, (2) design,(3) Development (4) Implementation and (5) Evaluation. This research was conducted at the school of  MAS Darul Ihsan Aceh Besar with 3 chemistry teachers and 31 students taken from class X. The appropriateness of the newsletter media was assessed by the research supervisor. The percentage of teacher and student responses to the newsletter media that was developed was 97.22% and 83.97%  with the very good category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the developed newsletter media is very suitable for use in the learning process of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials.

Abstract

To further improve achievement of the given learning objectives, chemistry learning requires instructional materials that encourage active engagement of students. The goal of this research was to create student worksheets based on Peer Led Team Learning (PLTL) on colloid material, to establish the validity of student worksheets based on PLTL on colloid material, and assess teacher and student responses to worksheets. PLTL based students on colloid material that has been developed. This research approach is known as research and development (R&D), and it is carried out utilizing the 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). Purposive sampling was used for the sample technique. The study was carried out at four schools: MAN 3, SMAN 5, SMAN 12, and SMAN 15 Adidarma Banda Aceh. Validating the practicality of student worksheets and questionnaire responses from teachers and students were used to obtain data. This study obtained the following results: (1) validation of the feasibility of student worksheets by expert validators of 92.3% and based on the chemistry teacher's assessment of 86.5% in the very good or valid category; (2) results of the teacher's responses to the students' worksheets obtained a percentage of 88.1% in the very good category; and (3) results of the students'responses to the students' worksheets obtained a percentage of 79.9% in the good category. Based on the findings, it is possible to infer that the student worksheet based on PLTL on colloid material is appropriate for use as teaching material on colloid material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk menganalisis kualitas serta kelayakan soal-soal kimia kategori HOTS yang dikembangkan pada  materi hidrolisis garam dan larutan penyangga dengan menggunakan Wondershare Quiz Creator. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan model 3-D yang telah dimodifikasi dari model 4-D. Subjek penelitian adalah 32 orang mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Kimia FKIP Universitas Syiah Kuala angkatan 2016. Instrumen yang digunakan  yaitu  lembar validasi penilaian kualitas soal, kelayakam media, angket tanggapan mahasiswa, dan kualitas butir soal. Hasil uji kelayakan soal oleh tim ahli materi dan hasil validasi telah memiliki kriteria sangat layak dengan skor  masing-masing sebesar  85,0% dan  99,7%.  Berdasarkan hasil analisis butir soal diperoleh  soal valid sebesar 80% dengan  reliabilitas  sebesar 0,763. Tingkat kesulitan soal dengan kategori mudah, sedang, dan sulit berturut-turut 15,0%, 75,0%, dan 10,0%.  Daya beda soal dengan kategori baik sebesar 55,0% dan kategori cukup  sebanyak 45,0%. Pengecoh  soal   yang berfungsi dengan baik sebesar 62,5%. Soal HOTS ini  mendapat tanggapan  positif   sebesar  93,3%.  Dapat disimpulkan bahwa soal kimia materi hidrolisis dan larutan penyangga kategori HOTS berbasis komputer memiliki kualitas soal yang baik dan sangat layak digunakan sebagai tes hasil belajar.

Abstract

The implementation of learning has undergone significant changes due to the corona virus (Covid-19) spreading rapidly so that the teaching and learning process at various levels of education is generally carried out online. This urges lecturers to adapt teaching materials to online learning systems, especially subject topics that require laboratory activities. This study aims to develop an e-module for basic chemistry practice courses not only containing material and quizzes but also integrates practical video tutorials in each of its sub-topics. The research method used is research and development (RD) by applying the ADDIE model. Research respondents were 58 students of the Physics Education FKIP USK wenrolled in basic chemistry practice courses in their first-year study in the 2019-2020. The research data were collected using instruments in the form of students’ responses to the questionnaire on 1) the e-module, and 2) the application of e-modules in basic chemistry laboratory courses. The questionnaires were distributed via Google form to avoid physical contact and comply with health protocols. Prior to distribution, the questionnaire was tested for validity and reliability using the Cronbach's alpha test and analyzed with SPSS version 12 (IDMTM). The results of the validation show that the mean value of validation is 91.48% for the display, content, grammar, and evaluation system items. Cronbach's alpha test shows a mean alpha value of 0.903. The results of the response questionnaire showed that the average response score was greater than 8.00 for each questionnaire item, while the mean score for the application of the e-module laboratory courses was 8.88. This shows that the e-module for basic chemistry lab work is favorable and suitable for use as teaching material in the online learning process.

Abstract

Science laboratories play an important role in the success of chemistry, physics, and biology education in schools. Students and teachers need facilities and infrastructure to prove the veracity of theory and to establish the relationship between theory and practice through experiential learning activities. In addition to teachers and students, the roles of research assistants and work managers are also very important to put practical learning into practice. To improve the knowledge and skills of science room management in schools, we will standardize the science room management of laboratory assistants and work instructors. This activity began with a pre-test, followed by the provision of teaching materials through lectures and discussions, quizzes through a method of promoting understanding, lab operations through a real-action approach, and a post-test. The training will be held for 4 days from August 9 to 12, 2022, at the Aceh Barat Daya District Education Office, where classroom lessons will be held, and at SMA Negri 6 Aceh, where participants will practice setting up their laboratories. It was conducted at two locations in Bharat Daya. education. Participants followed the learning process in the classroom very well as evidenced by achieving good quiz scores with an average accuracy of 7-12 out of 15 questions, or 47-80%. With Kahoot learning games, the quizzes at the end of each learning material add extra fun and motivation to learners and are very helpful in the evaluation process during the training process. Furthermore, post-test results showed that participants' knowledge increased by up to 80.4% compared to pre-test results. From this, we can conclude that this laboratory management training was properly implemented and produced very good results.

Abstract

Following the learning objectives of the 21st century, the learning process emphasizes mastery of teaching materials and requires direct students to solve problems. Critical thinking skills are needed for students to be able to solve problems. Problem-based learning is learning that emphasizes presenting authentic problems based on phenomena in everyday life. This literature review aims to discover the importance of applying the PBL learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills in chemistry learning. The method used in this study is a literature review beginning with finding topics to make it easier to collect data. Data were obtained by searching journals through Google Scholar and Science Direct, published for the last ten years (2012-2022) using the keywords PBL, critical thinking skills, and chemistry. Based on the literature search, 15 relevant articles have been found for further analysis. The literature review results show that applying PBL learning has strong potential to improve students' critical thinking skills in various fields of study, especially chemistry. PT.Telkom Indonesia is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) which is engaged in information and communication technology (ICT) services and telecommunications networks in Indonesia. Telkom provides fixed wireline services, fixed wireless telephone services, mobile telephone services, data/internet and other multimedia services. PT.Telkom Indonesia has an information technology-based information system that can support and support employee performance every day. This information technology is a Web-based OSASE Information System. This OSASE information system functions as an early warning against disturbances in the CME (Civil Mechanical Electrical) sub-division system.

Abstract

Attendance is an activity carried out by a person to prove himself or not present in a meeting. The current condition of the presence of the meeting in the High Cliff City Diskominfo is still done by manual handwriting. This is ineffective and efficient and causes inaccurate attendance data obtained,so a system is needed that makes attendance effective and efficient for employees of the agency. Therefore, the Meeting Attendance System Design was created using a Web-based QR Code with PHP programming language and MySQL database. The system was created aimed at facilitating the process of the presence of agency employees and making it easier for High Cliff Diskominfo in the data of employees who have done absenteeism. The system is made by utilizing QR Code technology to make it easier for employees to do attendance absences no longer write manuals but by only scanning QR Codes when for absence. The system created has a QR Code scanning feature from qr code that has been created in admin, for scanning can use a webcam on a Personal Computer(PC). The implementation of this QR Code, is expected to make the attendance system easier and is expected to facilitate employees of the High Cliff City Diskominfo in carrying out meeting absences.
