Abstract

Abstrak: Kurikulum merdeka memiliki berbagai perbedaan dengan kurikulum pendahulunya. Salah satu aspek pembeda adalah asesmen yang menekankan pada perkembangan karakter peserta didik dan mengutamakan asesmen formatif. Hasil wawancara pada sekolah mitra, diketahui masih banyak guru yang belum memahami penyusunan asesmen pada kurikulum merdeka. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menyusun asesmen diagnostik, formatif, dan sumatif. Metode pengabdian ini yaitu sosialisasi dan praktik penyusunan asesmen oleh guru dengan didampingi oleh tim pengabdi. Terdapat tiga tahap yang dilaksanakan yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi yang terdiri dari 10 soal pretest dan postest. Peserta pengabdian terdiri dari guru-guru yang tergabung dalam MGMP Fisika, Kimia, dan Biologi SMA berjumlah 18 orang. Tingkat ketercapaian kegiatan didasarkan pada peningkatan nilai pretest-posttest dan angket kepuasan peserta yang dibagikan melalui googleform. Hasil kegiatan diperoleh bahwa (1) pengetahuan peserta tentang penyusunan asesmen meningkat sebesar 58%; (2) hasil angket kepuasan mendapatkan nilai 94%; dan (3) adanya peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam menyusun asesmen kurikulum merdeka.Abstract: The independent curriculum has various differences from its predecessor curriculum. One of the differentiating aspects is assessment which emphasizes the development of students' character and prioritizes formative assessments. As a result of interviews at partner schools, it is known that there are still many teachers who do not understand the preparation of assessments in the independent curriculum. This service activity aims to increase teacher competence in preparing diagnostic, formative and summative assessments. This service method is socialization and practice of preparing assessments by teachers accompanied by a service team. There are three stages carried out, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation which consists of 10 questionspretest andposttestThe service participants consisted of 18 teachers who were members of the MGMP Physics, Chemistry and Biology High School. The level of activity achievement is based on increasing valuepretest-posttest and participant satisfaction questionnaires distributed viagoogleform. The results of the activity showed that (1) participants' knowledge about preparing assessments increased by 58%; (2) the results of the satisfaction questionnaire got a score of 94%; and (3) there was an increase in teacher competence in preparing independent curriculum assessments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the creative thinking abilities of students influenced by the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in the coordination system material for Grade XI at SMAN 7 Pekanbaru. The study was conducted at SMAN 7 Pekanbaru, Senapelan District, Pekanbaru City, in May 2025 during the 2024/2025 academic year. This research is a quasi-experiment with a pretest–posttest control group design. The research population included all 142 Grade XI students at SMAN 7 Pekanbaru. Samples were selected randomly, with Grade XI4 as the experimental class and Grade XI8 as the control class. The research parameter was students' creative thinking skills, which were measured through four indicators, namely fluent thinking, flexible thinking, original thinking, and detailed thinking. Data collection techniques used multiple-choice test questions, observation sheets, and product assessment sheets. Data analysis techniques included instrument feasibility testing, prerequisite testing, and independent t-testing. The results showed a Sig value of 0.01 < 0.05 and a t-count of 7.580 > t-table = 1.667, so H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that using the Project Based Learning model can improve the creative thinking abilities of grade XI students at SMAN 7 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Abstract Orange peel waste is an organic waste containing essential nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, making it a potential raw material for Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF). This study aims to determine the effect of orange peel waste LOF concentrations on the growth of water spinach (Ipomoea reptans Poir) and to develop a learning media in the form of a poster for Grade XII high school biology on the topic of growth and development. The research was conducted from January to April 2025 in Tambang District and Binawidya Campus, Panam, using an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of five treatments (200 ml, 400 ml, 600 ml, 800 ml, and control), each replicated three times. Observed parameters included the number of leaves, plant height, root length, fresh weight, and dry weight. Data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. The results showed that the 600 ml LOF concentration had a significant effect on plant growth, particularly in the number of leaves, plant height, fresh weight, and dry weight, but had no significant effect on root length. The educational poster developed from the research findings was validated and deemed suitable as an alternative learning media in high school biology instruction.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Student Worksheet (LKPD) design for the topic of Biological Technology Innovation in Grade X of Senior High School through the enrichment of functional beverage production in the form of water kefir made from pineapple (Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.) with the addition of cinnamon and different types of sugar. The research was conducted from October 2024 to February 2025 at the Biology Education Laboratory, University of Riau. The method used was an experimental approach with a completely randomized design (CRD) in a factorial pattern consisting of two factors: types of sugar (granulated sugar and palm sugar) and cinnamon concentration (0%, 1%, and 3%), with each treatment replicated three times. The observed parameters included organoleptic and hedonic tests. The results showed that the best combination was found in the treatment using palm sugar and 10 grams of cinnamon (G2K1). This water kefir was preferred by the panelists due to its mild sourness and a balanced aroma of fermentation and cinnamon. The findings of this study were subsequently integrated into the LKPD design and validated by subject matter and media experts, indicating its feasibility as an instructional material for biotechnology learning in high school.

Abstract

Kuok sweet oranges or Kuok oranges is derived from Siam oranges (Citrus nobilis Lour) is a local fruit Riau province crowded popular by the public. This fruit provides a promising business opportunity, however the limited availability of seedlings will need to be managed for the assessment of getting ready-to-be seeds available. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of IAA and Giberellin on the growth of embryo culture of Kuok oranges (Citrus nobilis Lour). This research uses Factorial Random Design. For the first factor Mikropropagasi IAA (I) consisted of 0 mgl-1 - 3 mgl-1 and the second actor Giberellin (G) consisted of 0 mgl-1 -4 mgl-1. The parameters measured were the time of shoots, the percentage of live eksplan, the time of the root, the number of shoots, the number of roots, and the shoot height. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and tested further with DNMRT at 5%. The results showed that the combination of IAA and Giberellin significantly affected the growth of plantlets from Kuok sweet organge embryos. The I2G3 treatment (2 mgL-1 IAA and 2 mgL-1 Giberellin) was the best for the average shoot growth time of the fastest 5,67 days after culture, 100% plantlet survival percentage, the average number of shoots was 5.83, the average shoot height was 10.67 cm, average root growth 7.83 days after culture and the average number of roots was 5.33. The plantlets from this study can be used as a source of germplasm for Kuok sweet orange seeds.

Abstract

Pengembangan buku saku ini didasarkan pada hasil penelitian isolasi dan identifikasi bakteri dari limbah cair di PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan, Mandau. Tujuannya adalah menyediakan media pembelajaran Biologi kontekstual untuk materi Keanekaragaman Hayati kelas X SMA. Limbah minyak bumi adalah isu lingkungan yang signifikan dan penting untuk dikenalkan kepada peserta didik sebagai contoh nyata pencemaran dan keanekaragaman mikroorganisme. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, menggabungkan eksperimen mikrobiologi dan pengembangan media. Sampel limbah cair diambil dari area operasional PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan. Isolasi bakteri dilakukan menggunakan metode spread plate dan streak plate pada media Nutrient Agar (NA). Isolat yang diperoleh kemudian dikarakterisasi secara makroskopis, mikroskopis (pewarnaan Gram), dan melalui uji biokimia (TSIA, SCA, dan SIM). Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan adanya empat isolat bakteri yang termasuk dalam tiga genus: Bacillus sp., Acinetobacter sp., dan Pseudomonas sp., masing-masing dengan karakter morfologi dan biokimia yang berbeda. Data hasil penelitian ini diintegrasikan ke dalam buku saku sebagai contoh konkret keanekaragaman mikroorganisme dan dampak limbah terhadap lingkungan.Validasi oleh ahli materi, media, dan bahasa menunjukkan bahwa buku saku yang dikembangkan berada pada kategori sangat valid dan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Diharapkan buku saku ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang Keanekaragaman Hayati serta kepedulian mereka terhadap isu lingkungan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh POC Kombinasi Limbah Air Kelapa dan Air Cucian Beras terhadap Pertumbuhan Tanaman Bayam serta mengetahui tingkat kelayakan Handout Materi Bioteknologi SMA Kelas XII. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), yang terdiri atas 3 ulangan pada setiap perlakuan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Tanjung, Kecamatan Hulu Kuantan, Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi (Pelaksanaan tahap pembuatan Pupuk Organik Cair) pada bulan Februari - Maret 2025. Untuk racangan Handout menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, dan Development). Hasil pada penelitian ini yaitu variasi perbandingan air kelapa dan air cucian beras terbukti memberikan pengaruh terhadap kadar unsur hara POC (N, P, dan K) serta pertumbuhan tanaman bayam. Perlakuan terbaik terdapat pada kombinasi 6 liter air kelapa + 2 liter air cucian beras + 15% ragi tapai (B4), dengan kadar N total 1,77%, P total 1,57%, dan K total 1,87%. Kombinasi ini menghasilkan unsur hara tertinggi dan pertumbuhan bayam paling optimal dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Hasil validasi rancangan Handout menunjukkan rata-rata skor sebesar 3,66 dengan kategori sangat valid, sehingga menunjukkan bahwa Handout yang dikembangkan pada penelitian ini sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran sehingga dapat diterapkan sebagai bahan ajar pendukung materi Bioteknologi di kelas XII.
