Abstract

Character education is a positive offer in the eradication of moral crises which particularly emerged in our students.  Therefore, the internalization of values of character education in the educational institution is a must.  As an Islamic education institution in Indonesia, the existence of Boarding school is considered to be able to develop values of character education which may be done through formal or non-formal curriculum.  This is so because since its early existence, Boarding school has delineated its distinctive feature which is different from the other common types of education.  Here, the implementation of character values have been integrated (within large portion) in the religious subjects.Copyright © 2013 by Al-Talim All right reservedDOI: 10.15548/jt.v20i3.41

Abstract

 Reconstruction or the strive of rebuilding and developing human resources should not only focused on the improvement of physical skill, but also non-physic sectors like values system, religious norms, and moral values. One of the causes of multidimensional crisis faced by Indonesian people is stemming from their own mistakes in which they give more emphasis on physical development than non-physic. It has to be considered a valuable lesson for society, especially for education organizers. Big physical capital does not guarantee that it can prevent, save, or brighten Indonesian people from crisis when non-physic side of human resources does not become the priority.Copyright © 2013 by Al-Talim All right reservedDOI: 10.15548/jt.v20i2.38

Abstract

Faktor utama yang menentukan keberhasilan proses pembelajaran adalah metode pembelajaran. Penelitian ini membahas tentang penerapan metode peta konsep dengan menggunakan macromedia flash untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa MTs Patra Mandiri Plaju Kelas VII. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah The pretest-posttest non-equivalent group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII sebanyak 4 kelas. Sampel yang digunakan untuk penelitian 2 kelas, pengambilan sampel ini dengan teknik cluster sampling. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh hasil belajar kognitif dengan metode peta konsep dengan menggunakan macromedia flash pada materi Gejala Biotik dan Abiotik di MTs Patra Mandiri Plaju. Hasil ini juga menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Selain itu, peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif ini dapat dilihat dari rata-rata gain score Kelas Eksperimen sebesar 2,73, lebih besar dari rata-rata gain score Kelas Kontrol, yaitu 2,34. The main factor that determined the succesful of learning process was learning method. This research aimed to find out the effect of applaying of concept map method by using macromedia flash to improve students’ learning outcomes at class VII of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Patra Mandiri Plaju. The research design was the pretest-postest non equivalent group design. The population of this research were all students at class VII of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Patra Mandiri Plaju as many as 4 classes, and for the sample were only two classes using cluster sampling technique. T-test was used to test the hyphotesis of this research. The research result showed that there was a significant improvement on students’ cognitive learning outcomes by using concept map method with macromedia flash on Biotic and Abiotic material. It was showed by Ha acceptance and H0 rejection. Beside, the improvement on students’ cognitive learning outcomes also could be showed by gain score average of Experimental Class at 2.73, it was better than gain score average of Control Class at 2.34.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Siswa yang valid, praktis dan efektif serta mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan LKS yang dikembangkan menggunakan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia terhadap indikator pemahaman konsep siswa. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP Palembang. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah validasi pakar, angket dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian telah menghasilkan LKS yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Dari hasil validasi, LKS termasuk dalam kategori valid dengan rata-rata 3,38. Dari hasil angket kepraktisan, LKS termasuk dalam kategori sangat praktis dengan rata-rata 95. Keefektifan LKS ini dilihat dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa. Dari hasil analisis data tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep LKS menunjukkan efektif dengan rata-rata 83,43.

This study aimed to determine the application of learning journal as a tool in the effort to increase students understanding of Celluler Biology concept. The study was conducted at 53 second semester stundents (26 students for class 2A and 27 students for class 2B) of Biology Education Program Study of PGRI Teachers Training College, Madiun. The study was conducted during three meetings for KD 1-3 (Kompetensi Dasar=Basic Competence) of Celluler Biology Subject. The collected data were the implemented STAD data, the learning journal data and the concept understanding data. The concept understanding data were obtained by giving the quiz questions at the end of learning. The study result showed that the learning with implementation of learning journal increased from first meeting at 13.32 became 13.42 at meeting II and III, and there was the increase of quiz value from each KD on both medium and low categories.

Not only in Indonesia, even in developed countries such as the United States, Germany, Japan, and, still rely on character education as a mainstay of kick to overcome various moral issues at hand. Character education became very warm issue in the education scene in Indonesia due to the rampant cases of moral that afflicts this nation, ranging from scenes in high State institutions, educational nstitutions until those cases that occur in the streets. The cases allegedly due to the failure of education that has lasted until today. Criticisms of the educational world tends to be mechanical, cognitive aspects than prefer the affective and psychomotor, and a series of spicy criticism more have graced the writings of educational expert. In order to respond to these concerns, the Government now, through the Ministry of education and culture and supported by the Ministry of Religion, raised character education agenda as the national education agenda. Sayang sayang thousand, until now there has been no clear concept of philosophy as well as on the technical implementation. This paper will offer solutions to various problems in philosophy as well as the implementation of character education. The author of the theme of humanist-religious is one of spirits in character education. The reason is that to improve the character of a nation, certainly could not depart from values which do not come from the nation itself. Humanist-religious is a character that belongs to the people of Indonesia so that character education is applied in this country inevitably had to depart from this character. After discussing the philosophy of character education from the perspective of humanist-religious, the author offers some alternatives that are related to the stages of education, learning methods, as well as the position of teachers in character education.

Abstract

Keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana laboratorium menjadi faktor penghambat untuk melakukan praktikum fisika. Padahal praktikum dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep fisika. Sehingga untukmengatasi kesulitan dalam mempelajari konsep fisika adalah dengan menggunakan media bantu pengajaran. Salah satunya menggunakan spreadsheet, program spreadsheet yang familiar untuk pengolahan data yaitu Microsoft excel karena menyajikan fasilitas secara sederhana, mudah dan tidak memerlukan instalasi secara khusus. Sehingga siswa dengan mudah dapat menggunakan fasilitas tersebut untuk memvisualkan berbagai model matematika. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah (1) memberikan pelatihan aplikasi spreadsheet sebagi media pembelajaran kreatif dan solutif untuk lebih memahami konsep fisika karena terbatasan alat peraga, (2) meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam mengikuti perkembangan software simulasi yang ada saat ini. Pelaksanaan pelatihan secara teknis berjalan cukup lancar tanpa ada hambatan yang cukup berarti. Namun ada beberapa permasalahan yang timbul yakni masih ada peserta yang masih kurang mampu dalam menjalankan program spreadsheet. Sebagian peserta mengalami kesulitan dalam code penjalanan program selain ada beberapa tombol yang tidak mereka temukan dilayar MS.Excel.

Abstract

Abstrak Proses belajar mengajar merupakan proses interaksi edukatif antara guru dengan siswa. Perjalanan yang ditempuh dalam proses belajar mengajar tidaklah mudah dan sederhana, tetapi banyak hambatan dan kompleks akan permasalahan. Baik permasalahan yang timbul dari siswa, guru maupun lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui interaksi edukatif yang dilakukan guru dengan siswa pada pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani, olahraga, dan kesehatan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling, sebanyak 7 guru dan 178 siswa.      Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) berdasarkan kuesioner guru interaksi edukatif proses pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani, olahraga, dan kesehatan dengan nilai rata-rata 229,14 yang kemudian dikonversi kedalam nilai kategori untuk kuesioner guru dengan nilai kategori “baik”, (2) berdasarkan kuesioner siswa interaksi edukatif proses pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani, olahraga dan kesehatan dengan nilai rata-rata 229,14 yang kemudian dikonversi kedalam nilai kategori untuk kuesioner siswa dengan nilai kategori “baik”, (3) berdasarkan lembar pengamatan interaksi edukatif proses pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani, olahraga dan kesehatan dengan nilai rata-rata 229,14 yang kemudian dikonversi kedalam nilai kategori untuk observasi dengan nilai kategori “cukup”. Simpulan penelitian bahwa interaksi edukatif guru dengan siswa pada proses pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani, olahraga dan kesehatan di SMP dan MTs se-Kecamatan Balongpanggang Gresik dengan nilai rata-rata 477,47 yang kemudian dikonversi kedalam nilai kategori dengan nilai kategori “cukup”. Kata Kunci: interaksi edukatif, guru, pendidikan jasmani Abstract       Teaching and learning process is a process of educative interaction between student and teacher. The learning process is not easy and simple, but a lot of obstacles and problems will be complex. Both problems arising from students, teachers and school environment. This study aims to determine the educational interaction that teachers do with students on the learning of physical education, sport and health. The study was conducted by quantitative descriptive approach. Subjects were teachers and students on the learning process of physical exercise and health education in SMP and MTs Balongpanggang district Gresik. Samples were taken by purposive sampling, a total of 7 teachers and 178 students.      The results showed that (1) based on teacher questionnaires educational interaction learning process of physical education, sport and health with an average value of 229.14 which is then converted into the value category for the teacher questionnaire with value "good" category.  (2) based on the student questionnaire educational interaction learning process of physical education, sport and health with an average value of 229.14 which is then converted into the value category for the student questionnaire with a value of "good" category.  (3) based on the observation sheet educational interaction learning process of physical education, sport and health with an average value of 229.14 which is then converted into the value category for observation with the value category of "enough".      On conclusion that the study of educational interaction of teachers and students in the learning process of physical education, sport and health in SMP and MTs Balongpanggang district Gresik with an average value of 477.47 which is then converted into the value category with the value of the category of "pretty".
