Abstract

This study aims to develop an IoT-based prototype system for monitoring soil moisture and controlling irrigation in chili plants using the Blynk platform. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach with a prototypedevelopment model. The system integrates a capacitive soil moisture sensor (Soil Moisture Sensor Capacitive V1.2) to measure soil moisture levels and automate irrigation decisions. The system's effectiveness was evaluated through 56 trials, achieving a 98.15% success rate, indicating high reliability in providing real-time soil moisture data. The usability assessment showed that all respondents rated the system positively, with functionality reaching 100% feasibility and usability rated at 86.3%, categorized as very good. However, further analysis is needed to validate the questionnaire used in usability testing and assess whether training is required for farmers to operate the system efficiently. In terms of reliability, the system recorded a 5% sensor accuracy deviation, highlighting the need for additional calibration and comparative testing with alternative sensors. Overall, this system has the potential to enhance agricultural productivity and optimize water usage, reducing dependence on manual irrigation. Future research should focus on improving system connectivity, refining sensor accuracy, and expanding the system's application to various crops and environmental conditions to promote sustainable and technology-driven farming practices.

Abstract

Today's technological developments are very sophisticated. It can be seen with various innovations in this era, from simple innovations to innovations that are trending in the world. Parking is a condition where the driver places his vehicle in a parking lot. The parking system using the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system has become a technology applied to parking systems, by facilitating and providing security to customers when parking, even though they have used an RFID card, the drawbacks of the system are that anyone who has an RFID card can issue the owner's vehicle another by using the same RFID card. The solution to the lack of an RFID-based parking system is by using the High Sensitive R503 Fingerprint Sensor which will make security much better than using an RFID card, by applying the Sequential Search Algorithm to detect customers in fingerprint registration applications and using the Fingerprint R503 sensor with data verification speed. average 0.78 Second to open the parking portal.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Adaptive Algorithm to Improve the Image Quality of Vehicle Number Plates Based on Lighting Parameters. The type of research used by the Author is Research and Development. This research was conducted at the Computer Engineering Laboratory for six months. This research consists of several stages, from the potential and problem stages, needs analysis, literacy studies, building prototypes, system design, and system testing. The collected datasets were taken using smartphone cameras and webcams, with 207 image datasets divided into two categories: training data and validation. The training dataset of 207 objects was 100% successful. System testing was carried out in two conditions, namely during the day and at night, for each two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicle object. The results of adaptive algorithm testing to improve the quality of vehicle license plate images based on the light parameter experienced a change in the average MSE and PSNR values between the original image and the quality-improved image, although not too much of a difference. Based on this, it can be interpreted that the adaptive algorithm can produce better photos than before.

Abstract

This study aims to produce and find out the results of the Smart System Stabilization Water Discharge Output Test on Android-Based Faucets based on the results of water flow sensor readings whose data is used as a reference for the rotation of the Adj or Adjustable Water Pressure Reducing Regulator Valve. The tests were carried out in the form of measuring water flow without and with Adj and measuring water discharge without and with Adj. Based on the research results, the water flow without Adj is 7 L/min for tap 1.9 L/min for tap 2. The water flow with Adj for both taps is 8 L/min. The flow of water from both taps is more stable with Adj than without Adj because the flow of both taps is 8 L/min. The measurement results of the water discharge without Adj are 0.1216 L/s for tap 1 and 0.1470 L/s for tap 2; the difference in water discharge is 0.0254 L/s. Water debit with Adj 0.135 L/s tap 1 and 0.14125 L/s tap 2, the difference in water discharge is 0.00625 L/s. The water debit is more stable with Adj than without Adj because the difference in water discharge is smaller.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi internet dan website berkembang begitu cepat serta menjadi salah satu hal yang penting bagi kehidupan sehari-hari saat ini, website adalah media publikasi elektronik yang memiliki beragam keunggulan. Berdasarkan keunggulan tersebut pemanfaatan website dalam bidang penyewaan ataupun mencari informasi akan memberikan banyak manfaat yang sangat penting bagi pengunjung mencari informasi tentang homestay dibulukumba. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sistem informasi homestay berbasis web di kabupaten Bulukumba dan menguji kualitas dan kelayakan sistem berdasarkan standar kualitas ISO/IEC2501. Penelitian ini adalah Research and development (R&D) yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi homestay berbasis web di kabupaten Bulukumba, melakukan pengujian tingkat kelayakan sistem informasi homestay Berbasis web di kabupaten Bulukumba, dan mengetahui hasil uji pengembangan sistem informasi homestay berbasis web di kabupaten Bulukumba. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan prototype dengan tahapan: Pengumpulan kebutuhan, membangun prototype, evaluasi prototype, mengkodekan sistem, menguji sistem, evaluasi sistem, dan penggunaan sistem. Pengujian standar kualitas ISO/IEC 25010 dengan 4 pengujian yaitu Functional suitability, Reability, Portability, dan Usability. Adapun hasil pengujian pada functional suitability yang diuji oleh ahli sistem dengan mengisi kuesioner yang berisi 44 pertanyaan yang terkait dalam sistem yang dikembangakan. Dari pengujian ini diperoleh hasil sangat baik; pada pengujian reability dengan memperoleh persentase kesuksesan 100% yang menggunakan click test, time test dan ramp test; pada pengujian portability bernilai 1 yang berarti sistem ini berjalan dengan baik diberbagai perangkat; pada pengujian usability yang di uji dengan jumlah 12 pertanyaan dengan 30 respoden memperoleh nilai dikategori sangat baik

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the Arabic language learning program implemented under the Merdeka Curriculum at a Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Makassar, using the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). Data were collected through observations and interviews with the Vice Principal for Curriculum Affairs and Arabic language teachers. The data were analyzed qualitatively, drawing on the analytical framework developed by Miles and Huberman. The program’s effectiveness was assessed through the four key components of the CIPP model. The findings reveal that the context aspect – pertaining to program planning – has been achieved in accordance with the established indicators. However, the input dimension indicates that while the school has sufficient capacity to support program implementation, improvements are needed in curriculum development, which should involve more collaborative efforts. The processaspect is rated as moderately effective, although issues remain in time management and in facilitating students’ self-reflection on their ongoing learning needs. The product aspect demonstrates satisfactory learning outcomes; nonetheless, students' proficiency in Arabic language skills remains relatively low. This is attributed to their diverse educational backgrounds, including those from Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and public elementary schools. These results underscore the need for targeted improvements to enhance the overall effectiveness of the Arabic language learning program within the Merdeka Curriculum framework. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi program pembelajaran Bahasa Arab berdasarkan Kurikulum Merdeka di a Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri in Makassar dengan menggunakan model evaluasi CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product). Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara yang ditujukan kepada Wakil Kepala Madrasah bagian kurikulum dan guru Bahasa Arab. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teori yang dikembangkan oleh Miles dan Huberman. Aspek keberhasilan dievaluasi melalui empat komponen utama model CIPP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek context atau perencanaan program telah tercapai sesuai indikator, namun perlu perbaikan dalam penyusunan kurikulum yang seharusnya dilakukan secara tim. Aspek input menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas madrasah mendukung pelaksanaan program. Aspek process dinilai cukup baik, namun masih ditemukan kekurangan dalam pengelolaan waktu dan pelibatan peserta didik dalam refleksi kebutuhan belajar berkelanjutan. Aspek product memperlihatkan hasil yang cukup baik dari sisi nilai pembelajaran, tetapi penguasaan keterampilan berbahasa Arab masih rendah, dipengaruhi oleh latar belakang pendidikan peserta didik yang beragam, baik dari madrasah ibtidaiyah maupun sekolah dasar. Temuan ini menekankan perlunya peningkatan dalam beberapa aspek untuk meningkatkan efektivitas program pembelajaran bahasa arab berdasarkan Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of a valid prototype of the Savonius vertical axis wind turbine model through a research and development (R&D) approach, using a modified Borg and Gall development model. The study introduces a functional prototype suitable for student learning in renewable energy courses, offering a simpler and more portable alternative to wind energy generation. Student responses showed a positive perception, with 53% stating that the Savonius wind turbine was suitable for the presentation. The results of the questionnaire showed an overall average score of 86%, which was categorized as "Very Appropriate". The turbine operates effectively at a minimum wind speed of 3.5 m/s, producing an average voltage of 10.28 V, a current of 10.46 mA, and an output power of 1 watt. Although relatively small, this power level is sufficient for small-scale applications, highlighting the prototype's ability to support devices with low power or simple lighting, as well as serving as a renewable energy education tool. Wind turbine performance analysis showed optimal results at an average wind speed of 3.88 – 4.84 m/s, a power coefficient (Cp) of 0.87, and a tip-speed ratio (TSR) of 0.82. This shows a direct correlation between the TSR and the power coefficient, which indicates efficient turbine performance.

Abstract

Purpose—This research is an evaluative study that aims to evaluate the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum in mathematics learning at SMP Negeri 1 Duampanua.Methodology—The evaluation model used is the CIPP (Contextual, Input, Process, Product) model. The principal, mathematics teachers, and students were the subjects of evaluation in this research. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis.Findings – The results of the research indicate that: 1) The Operational Curriculum of the Education Unit (KOSP) at SMP Negeri 1 Duampanua has met expectations, namely by applying the principles of KOSP development, containing the characteristics of the education unit, having a vision, mission, and objectives, regulating learning, planning learning, and planning assistance for evaluation and professional development of educators, 2) The capacity of the educational unit at SMP Negeri 1 Duampanua still needs to be improved and strengthened, 3) The mathematics learning process at SMP Negeri 1 Duampanua has met the established criteria, which include mathematics learning planning, implementation of mathematics learning, and evaluation of mathematics learning, 4) Student learning outcomes in mathematics are in line with the Criteria for Achieving Learning Objectives (KKTP).Significance – This research can contribute to curriculum policy development, especially in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in mathematics learning in junior high schools. The findings of this study can provide insights for policymakers to evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and develop improvement measures, as well as for teachers to improve learning methods that align with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum. Additionally, the results of this study can help students improve their understanding and motivation in learning mathematics and serve as a reference for further research on the implementation of this curriculum at various levels of education.

Abstract

Penguatan kompetensi guru dalam menyusun instrumen evaluasi pembelajaran menjadi kebutuhan penting dalam menghadapi tuntutan kurikulum abad ke-21. Salah satu tantangan yang dihadapi guru STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), khususnya guru Matematika, Biologi, Fisika, dan Kimia, adalah keterbatasan dalam menyusun soal berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) serta minimnya pemahaman terhadap pendekatan computational thinking (CT). Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam merancang soal evaluasi yang mengintegrasikan prinsip HOTS dan CT secara sistematis dan kontekstual. Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 26–27 Mei 2025 di SMP dan SMA Al Biruni dalam bentuk workshop interaktif yang melibatkan pemaparan materi, studi kasus, diskusi kelompok, dan praktik penyusunan soal. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test, yang menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata skor peserta dari 58 menjadi 83. Selain itu, hasil angket kepuasan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta merasa sangat puas dengan relevansi dan efektivitas pelatihan. Hasil penyusunan soal menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu mengintegrasikan elemen HOTS dan CT dalam soal yang berbasis konteks dan menuntut pemikiran kritis. Kegiatan ini berhasil menjawab kebutuhan guru akan peningkatan kompetensi evaluatif dan memberikan dasar bagi replikasi program serupa di sekolah lain.

Abstract

This evaluative study aims to assess the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in mathematics learning at public junior high schools in Duampanua Subdistrict, Pinrang Regency. The research uses the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). Data collection was conducted through questionnaires and interviews with school principals, mathematics teachers, and students. The collected data were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative descriptive methods. The study's findings indicate that: (1) the Operational Curriculum of Educational Units (KOSP) has been implemented as expected; (2) the capacity of educational units still requires improvements to fully support the optimal implementation of the Independent Curriculum; (3) the mathematics learning process meets the established criteria; (4) students' mathematics learning outcomes have shown excellent results, in line with the Criteria for the Achievement of Learning Objectives (KKTP).
