Abstract

The incidence of dengue has increased dramatically worldwide in recent decades. Modeling estimates suggest 390 million dengue virus infections per year (95% credible interval 284-528 million), of which 96 million (67-136 million) manifest clinically. Efforts or ways to guard against mosquito bites are to keep the environment clean and use environmentally friendly mosquito repellent materials. One of the plants that can be used as a source of natural mosquito repellent is the nutmeg plant. The purpose of this activity is to empower the community in Lampineung village in making anti-mosquito aerosols from nutmeg seeds. Methods: Community service activities carried out from July to October 2024, with a total of 10 non-productive people in Lampineung village. The housewives were given education and also training in making an anti-mosquito aerosol from nutmeg seeds. Results: the process of making aerosols from nutmeg seeds not only improves community skills in processing local resources, but also opens up new business opportunities that are environmentally friendly. The results of this program show an increase in the knowledge and skills of the Lampineung Village community in processing the potential of local natural resources into useful products. The anti-mosquito aerosol made from nutmeg seeds is not only environmentally friendly but also provides economic opportunities for the community, especially in the context of local economic empowerment. This activity concludes that it has a positive impact on increasing community capacity, both in terms of economy, health, and environmental awareness, thus making a real contribution to the empowerment of the Lampineung Village community.

Abstract

The use of soap is one of the most effective ways to protect the skin from bacterial infections and prevent skin diseases. Soap, whether in solid or liquid form, functions to cleanse the skin of dirt, oil, and bacteria. Untreated bacterial infections can cause inflammation in tissues or organs, disrupt organ function, and weaken the immune system. This community service program aimed to enhance public knowledge about hygiene, health, and the potential benefits of betel leaves (Piper betle L.), while also improving the skills and creativity of housewives in processing natural ingredients into environmentally friendly herbal soap products. Additionally, the program sought to broaden participants’ understanding of entrepreneurship, including business planning, marketing, and product management. The program was conducted from July to October 2024, involving 15 non-working housewives in Lampulo Village. Activities included educational sessions and practical training on making betel leaf-based herbal soap. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge and skills in utilizing natural ingredients to create value-added and eco-friendly herbal products. This program not only provided direct benefits in the form of useful products but also contributed to improving the community’s quality of life by empowering knowledge, practical skills, and raising awareness of health and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Penggunaan obat-obatan farmasi dinilai memberikan efek samping dalam pengobatan dan terapi. Hal ini menjadikan suatu tantangan dalam pengobatan anak yang mengalami batuk dan demam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji terapi batuk dan demam anak melalui pemanfaatan tanaman obat sebagai herbal alami. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi literatur. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat berbagai tanaman obat yang berpotensi meredakan penyakit batuk seperti jeruk nipis dan jahe. Sementara itu, tanaman obat yang sering digunakan masyarakat dalam meredakan gejala demam yaitu cocok bebek dan bawang merah. Pemanfaatan tanaman obat cocor bebek dan meniran sebagai obat herbal diketahui memiliiki kandungan senyawa yang efektif dan dapat digunakan sekaligus sebagai terapi pengobatan demam dan batuk. Dengan demikian, diharapkan bahwa hasil temuan ini dapat dijadikan pedoman ilmiah untuk memberikan alternatif terapi farmakologis dengan pengobatan tradisional yang memanfaatkan tanaman obat sebagai herbal alami. Pemanfaatan tanaman obat selain memberikan khasiat yang terpercaya dalam mengatasi penyakit juga memiliki efek samping yang lebih minim dibandingkan obat sediaan farmasi.

Abstract

Latar belakang:Kolesterol yang berlebihan akan menyebabkan gumpalan dalam saluran darah. Kadar kolesterol tinggi dapat meningkatkan resiko terjadinya obesitas, aterosklerosis, dan penyakit jantung coroner. Salah satu jenis tumbuhan yang dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol adalah daun sirih merah (piper crocatum ruiz & pav). Tujuan penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui efektifitas ekstrak etanol daun sirih merah dalam menurunkan kadar kolesterol dengan konsentrasi yang paling efektif. Selanjutnya diberikan suspense ekstrak etanol daun sirih merah 400 mg/kg BB, 800 mg/kg BB,1600 mg/kg BB, kontrol negatif diberikan Na CMC 0,5%, dan kontrol positif diberikan simvastatin 10 mg. data yang diperoleh disajikan dalam bentuk tabel sederhana dan uji statistic yaitu uji one way anova. Hasil penelitian: dapat diketahui bahwa dosis 1600 mg/kg dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol lebih efektif dengan nilai penurunan 176. Data yang diperoleh dari uji one way anova yaitu normalitas dan homogenitas yang mana nilai signifikan o,840 0,05. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ekstrak etanol daun sirih merah dapat menurunkan kadar kolesterol dimana dosis 1600 mg/kg BB menunjukan aktifitas terbaik dalam menurunkan kolesterol pada tikus.Kata kunci : Kolesterol, Daun Sirih Merah, Ekstrak.Background: Excessive cholesterol will cause clots in the blood vessels. High cholesterol levels can increase the risk of obesity56666, atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease. One type of plant that can lower cholesterol levels is red betel leaves (piper crocatum ruiz & pav). Research objectives: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of red betel leaf ethanol extract in reducing cholesterol levels with the most effective concentration. Next, red betel leaf ethanol extract suspension was given at 400 mg/kg BW, 800 mg/kg BW, 1600 mg/kg BW, the negative control was given 0.5% Na CMC, and the positive control was given 10 mg simvastatin. The data obtained is presented in the form of a simple table and the statistical test is the one way ANOVA test. Research results: it can be seen that a dose of 1600 mg/kg can reduce cholesterol levels more effectively with a reduction value of 176. Data obtained from the one way anova test are normality and homogeneity where the significant value is o.840 > 0.05. The conclusion of this research is that ethanol extract of red betel leaves can reduce cholesterol levels where a dose of 1600 mg/kg BB shows the best activity in reducing cholesterol in mice.Keywords : Cholesterol, Red Betel Leaf, Extract.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas hepatoprotektif dari ekstrak etanol umbi bit pada histologi hepar mencit yang diinduksi paracetamol. Metode penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental laboratorium. Mencit diberikan ekstrak etanol umbi bit dosis 500 mg/kg BB (P1), ekstrak etanol umbi bit dosis 300 mg/kg BB (P2), ekstrak etanol umbi bit dosis 100 mg/kg BB (P3), kontrol positif digunakan Curcuma® dan kontrol negatif digunakan Na CMC 0,5%. Perlakuan diberikan selama 7 hari berturut-turut. Pada hari ke-8 mencit diinduksi parasetamol dosis toksik selama 3 hari. Pada hari ke-10 dilakukan pembedahan untuk diambil hepar mencit. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dengan pemberian ekstrak etanol umbi bit dengan dosis 500 mg/kg BB, 300 mg/kg BB, dan 100 mg/kg BB dapat memberikan efek hepatoprotektif terhadap gambaran histopatologi hepar. Pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan umbi bit mempunyai efektivitas hepatoprotektor.Kata kunci : Umbi Bit, Hepatoprotektif, hepar

Abstract

Tabir surya merupakan kosmetik pelindung yang memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam menjaga kesehatan kulit, dari pengaruh buruk paparan sinar matahari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan dan mengetahui aktivitas tabir surya dari ekstrak daun seledri. Metode penelitian secara eksperimental laboratorium. Sediaan tabir surya diformulasikan dengan menambahkan ekstrak seledri dengan komposisi 2% (F1), 4% (F2), 6% (F3) dan kontrol negatif. setiap sediaan tabir surya diukur nilai aktivitas tabir surya. Uji aktivitas formulasi menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun seledri memiliki aktivitas sebagai tabir surya. Pada F1 sebesar 4,5553 SPF, F2 sebesar 7,3183 SPF, F3 sebesar 8,1573 SPF, sedangkan kontrol negatif tidak menghasilkan daya proteksi. Kesimpulan Formulasi sediaan tabir surya ekstrak daun seledri memiliki aktivitas tabir surya.Kata kunci: Tabir surya, daun seledri,  antioksidan, SPFSunscreen is a protective cosmetic that has a very important role in maintaining healthy skin, from the bad effects of sun exposure. This study aims to formulate and determine the activity of sunscreen from celery leaf extract. Laboratory experimental research methods. Sunscreen preparations are formulated by adding celery extract with a composition of 2% (F1), 4% (F2), 6% (F3) and negative control. For each sunscreen preparation, the value of sunscreen activity was measured. Formulation activity test showed that celery leaf extract has activity as a sunscreen. In F1 it was 4.5553 SPF, F2 was 7.3183 SPF, F3 was 8.1573 SPF, while the negative control did not produce any protection. Conclusion The formulation of celery leaf extract sunscreen has sunscreen activity.Keywords: Sunscreen; celery; antioxidants; SPF

Abstract

Penyimpanan obat merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam pengelolaan obat di Puskesmas. Penyimpanan obat merupakan salah satu cara pemeliharaan perbekalan farmasi sehingga aman dari gangguan fisik dan pencurian yang dapat merusak kualitas suatu obat. Penyimpanan harus dapat menjamin kualitas dan keamanan sediaan farmasi, alat kesehatan dan bahan medis habis pakai sesuai dengan persyaratan kefarmasian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran penyimpanan obat di Puskesmas Darul Imarah Aceh Besar tahun 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dimana data akan dipaparkan dalam bentuk tabel distribusi frekuensi. Data yang diperoleh melalui daftar tilik dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan persentase. tentang pedoman pengelolaan obat publik dan perbekalan kesehatan, Penyimpanan Obat di apotek Puskesmas meliputi keadaan tata ruang / gudang, penyimpanan obat, pencatatan kartu stok, dan pengamatan mutu. Hasil dari penelitian didapatkan bahwa penyimpanan obat di gudang obat Puskesmas Darul Imarah Aceh Besar meliputi keadaan tata ruang/gudang dengan persentase nilai 84,62% telah memenuhi persyaratan, cara penyimpanan obat 85,71%, pencatatan kartu stok 100% serta pengamatan mutu obat 90% adalah baik atau telah memenuhi persyaratan dan ketentuan yang ditetapkan Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia.Kata kunci: penyimpanan obat, apotek, gudang obatDrug stroge is an important factor in drug management at the puskesmas. drug stroge is one way to maintain pharmaceutical suplies so that they are safe from physical tampering and theft which can damage the quality of a drug. Storage must be able to guarantee the quality and safety of pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices and medical consumables according to pharmaceutical requirements. This study aims to find out the description of drug storage at the Darul Imarah Aceh Besar Health Center in 2023. This research uses a descriptive method where the data will be presented in the form of a frequency distribution table. Data obtained through chekclists were analyzed descriptively using percentages. regarding guidelines for the management of public medicines and medical supplies. Drug stroge at the puskesmas pharmacy includes spatial/warwhouse conditions, drug storage, stock card recording, and quality monitoring. The results of the study found that drug storage in the drug warehouse at the Darul Imarah Aceh Besar Health Center included spatial/warehouse conditions with a percentage value of 84.62% fulfilling the requirements, drug storage method 85.71%, stock card recording 100% and drug quality observation 90% is good or has met the terms and conditions set by the ministry of health of the republic of indonesia.Keywords: drug storage, pharmacy, drug warehouse

Abstract

Umbi bit (Beta Vulgaris L.) secara tradisional telah digunakan untuk berbagai penyakit salah satunya yaitu untuk menurunkan kadar Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) dan Alanin Aminotransferase (ALT) sebagai zat aditif hepatoprotektor. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui dosis yang efektif untuk mencapai efek penurunan kadar Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) dan Alanin Aminotransferase (ALT) pada mencit (Mus musculus L.). Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimental laboratorium dengan memvariasikan suspensi ekstrak umbi bit 100 mg/kgBB, 300 mg/kgBB dan 500 mg/kgBB serta curcuma sebagai kontrol positif dan Na-CMC sebagai kontrol negatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak umbi bit memiliki aktivitas hepatoprotektor dengan suspensi ekstrak umbi bit 100 mg/kgBB, suspensi ekstrak umbi bit 300 mg/kgBB dan suspensi ekstrak umbi bit 500 mg/kgBB berturut pada kadar Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) diperoleh 245 U/L, 191 U/L dan 186 U/L sedangkan pada kontrol positif (curcuma) 166 U/L. Selanjutnya pada kadar Alanin Aminotransferase (ALT) diperoleh 65 U/L, 57 U/L dan 49 U/L sedangkan pada kontrol positif (curcuma) 43 U/L. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan program SPSS yang di analisis menggunakan uji ANOVA (Analysis Of Varian) didapatkan nilai P Value (<0,05). Berdasarkan penghujian post hoc menunjukkan suspensi ekstrak umbi bit yang relatif sama dengan curcuma (kontrol positif) terhadap penurunan kadar Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) yaitu suspensi ekstrak umbi bit 300 mg/kgBB. Sedangkan pada penurunan kadar Alanin Aminotransferase (ALT) ialah suspensi ekstrak umbi bit 500 mg/kgBB. Disarankan kepada pembaca untuk dapat lebih memanfaatkan umbi bit sebagai obat terapi hepatoprotektor.Kata kunci : Umbi bit (Beta Vulgaris L.), hepatoprotektor. Aspartate Aminotransferase dan Alanin Aminotransferase.Beetroot (Beta Vulgaris L.) has traditionally been used for various diseases, one of which is to reduce Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) and Alanin Aminotransferase (ALT) levels as a hepatoprotector additive. The objectives of this research are to determine the effective dose to achieve the effect of reducing Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) and Alanin Aminotransferase (ALT) levels in mice (Mus musculus L.). The method used is laboratory experiment by varying the suspension of beetroot extract 100 mg / kgBB, 300 mg / kgBB and 500 mg / kgBB and curcuma as positive control and Na-CMC as negative control. Research results shows that beetroot extract has hepatoprotector activity with beetroot extract suspension of 100 mg/kgBB, beetroot extract suspension of 300 mg/kgBB and beetroot extract suspension of 500 mg/kgBB respectively at Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) levels obtained 245 U/L, 191 U/L and 186 U/L while in positive control (curcuma) 166 U/L. Furthermore, Alanin Aminotransferase (ALT) levels were obtained 65 U/L, 57 U/L and 49 U/L while in the positive control (curcuma) 43 U/L. The data from the study were analysed with the SPSS program using the ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) test which obtained a P value (<0.05). Based on post hoc testing, the suspension of beetroot extract which is relatively the same as curcuma (positive control) to reduce Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) levels is a suspension of beetroot extract 300 mg/kgBB. While the decrease in Alanin Aminotransferase (ALT) levels is a suspension of beetroot extract 500 mg / kgBB. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas penyembuhan luka dari salep ekstrak biji ketumbar pada mencit yang terinfeksi bakteri Staphyloccus aureus. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental. Salep ekstrak biji ketumbar dibuat dalam 3 formulasi yaitu F1 (formulasi salep mengandung sebanyak 4 gram ekstrak etanol ketumbar), F2 (formulasi salep mengandung sebanyak 6 gram ekstrak etanol ketumbar), F3 (formulasi salep mengandung sebanyak 8 gram ekstrak etanol ketumbar). Sebagai kontrol negatif adalah dasar salep tanpa kandungan ekstrak biji ketumbat dan sebagai control positif ada lah salep hidrokartison. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyembuhan luka sayat pada mencit menggunakan salep dengan formulasi sebanyak 8 gram ekstrak etanol ketumbar memberikan hasil yang efektif terhadap penyembuhan luka sayat pada mencit dibandingkan dengan salep dengan formulasi FI dan FII. Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa sediaan salep ekstrak biji ketumbar memiliki aktivitas yang baik terhadap penyembuhan luka sayat pada mencit yang terinfeksi bakteri Staphlococcus aureus. Kata kunci: biji ketumbar, sediaan salep, luka sayat, mencitThis study aims to determine the wound healing activity of coriander seed extract ointment in mice infected with Staphyloccus aureus bacteria. The method used in this study is experimental. Coriandrum sativum seed extract ointment is made in 3 formulations. F1 (ointment formulation contains as much as 4 grams of coriandrum sativum ethanol extract), F2 (ointment formulation contains as much as 6 grams of coriandrum sativum ethanol extract), F3 (ointment formulation contains as much as 8 grams of coriandrum sativum ethanol extract). As a negative control is the basis of ointment without the content of coriandrum sativum seed extract and as a positive control there is hydroartison ointment. The results showed that the healing of my sores on mice using ointments with formulations of as much as 8 grams of coriandrum sativum ethanol extract provided effective results against the healing of my sores on mice compared to ointments with FI and FII formulations. The conclusion of this study is that the preparation of coriandrum sativum seed extract ointment has good activity against the healing of sores in mice infected with staphlococcus aureus bacteria.Keywords: Coriandrum sativum, Staphylococcus aureus, ointment

Abstract

Asam urat merupakan penyakit yang menyerang persendiaan tubuh, seperti jari tangan, tumit, jari kaki, lutut, hingga pergelangan tangan. Penyakit timbul karena adanya penumpukan zat purin yang kemudian berubah menjadi asam urat. Tumbuhan seledri dan kemangi berpotensi sebagai obat tradisional dalam menurunkan kadar asam urat. Karena tumbuhan tersebut mengandung senyawa flavonoid yang berpotensi sebagai antihiperurisemia dalam menurunkan kadar asam urat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek pemberian kombinasi ekstrak etanol daun seledri dengan daun kemangi dan dosis efektif terhadap penurunan kadar asam urat. Metode penelitian ini eksperimental laboratorium. Kelompol pengujian terdiri dari kelompok perlakuan kontrol negatif (Na-CMC 5%), kontrol positif (allopurinol), kelompok 1dosis 75:25mg/kgBB, kelompok 2 dosis 50 : 50 mg/kg BB dan kelompok 3 dosis 25 : 75 mg/kg BB. Analisis menggunakan kompurisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi ekstrak etanol daun seledri dan daun kemangi mampu menurunkan kadar asam urat pada mencit. Perlakuan kombinasi ekstrak etanol daun seledri dan daun kemangi menunjukkan penurunan kadar asam urat sejak H-9 hingga H-15. Kombinasi ekstrak etanol daun seledri dan daun kemangi berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap penurunan kadar asam urat mencit karena nilai sig > 0,05. Kesimpulan kombinasi ekstrak etanol daun seledri dan daun kemangi efektif dalam menurunkan kadar asam urat sekitar 21 % hingga 27% dan dosis yang paling efektif yaitu kombinasi dosis 50 : 50 mg/kg BB.Kata Kunci : Asam Urat, Antihiperurisemia, Allopurinol, Kemangi, SeledriGout is a disease that attacks the body's joints, such as the fingers, heels, toes, knees and wrists. The disease arises due to a buildup of purine substances which then turn into uric acid. Celery and basil plants have potential as traditional medicines for lowering uric acid levels. Because this plant contains flavonoid compounds which have the potential to act as antihyperuricemia in reducing uric acid levels. This study aims to determine the effect of giving a combination of ethanol extract of celery leaves with basil leaves and the effective dose on reducing uric acid levels. This research method is laboratory experimental. The testing group consisted of negative control treatment group (Na-CMC 5%), positive control (allopurinol), group 1 dose 75: 25 mg/kg BW, group 2 dose 50: 50 mg/kg BW and group 3 dose 25: 75 mg/kg BW. Analysis using compurization. The research results showed that the combination of ethanol extract of celery leaves and basil leaves was able to reduce uric acid levels in mice. The combination treatment of ethanol extract of celery leaves and basil leaves showed a decrease in uric acid levels from D-9 to D-15. The combination of ethanol extract of celery leaves and basil leaves had a significant effect on reducing uric acid levels in mice because the sig value was > 0.05. The conclusion is that the combination of ethanol extract of celery leaves and basil leaves is effective in reducing uric acid levels by around 21% to 27% and the most effective dose is a combination dose of 50:50 mg/kg BW.Keywords :Antihyperuricemia Apium graveolens, Ocimum bacilicum
