Abstract

The high volume of plastic waste in Indonesia highlights the urgent need for community empowerment in managing waste creatively and sustainably. This community service program aims to raise awareness and enhance local skills through ecobrick production training in collaboration with the Utit Cokonuri Waste Bank group and its integration into the Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5). The implementation method adopted a participatory approach consisting of four main stages: needs assessment, technical planning, ecobrick training, and ongoing mentoring. The results show significant improvements in participants’ knowledge and technical skills in processing plastic waste into functional ecobricks. A total of 50 ecobrick units were successfully produced as pilot products and utilized as simple public facilities around the waste bank area. In addition, collaboration with partner schools facilitated the integration of ecobrick practice into P5 thematic projects on Sustainable Lifestyles, enabling students to actively participate in waste reduction practices. This success not only generated technical and environmental benefits but also opened economic opportunities through recycled products with added value. The program demonstrates the importance of synergy among universities, communities, and schools to support local sustainable development while strengthening Pancasila values through contextual learning. This empowerment model is expected to be replicated in other areas facing similar challenges to broaden its positive impact. Abstract

Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) merupakan seperangkat alat yang digunakan oleh tenaga kerja untuk melindungi seluruh atau sebagian tubuhnya terhadap kemungkinan adanya potensi bahaya kecelakaan kerja pada tempat kerja, penggunaan alat pelindung diri sering diangap tidak penting ataupun diremehkan oleh para pekerja, terutama pada pekerja pengangkut sampah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap dengan penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) pada pekerja pengangkut sampah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode Cross Sectional. Pelaksanan penelitian dilakukan pada pulan februari sampai dengan Maret 2024. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah petugas pengangkut sampah di Dinas Lingkungan Hidup kotamobagu dengan jumlah 71 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling dan instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji Chi square. Diperoleh 2 variabel independen yang berhubungan dengan variabel dependen penggunaan alat pelindung diri yaitu pengetahuan (p value 0,000), dan sikap (p value 0,002). Diharapkan untuk lebih meningkatkan kesadaran tentang pentingnya penggunaan APD saat bekerja sehingga dapat terhindar dari kecelakan kerja dan penyakit akibat kerja.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui factor-faktor dan akibat perceraian orang tua terhadap proses sosial siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Ma’rang Kecamatan Ma’rang Kabupaten Pangkep. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan desain “ex post facto” dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. sampel yang digunakan adalah anak dengan rentan usia 14–16 tahun yang berjumlah 23 orang yang dijadikan sebagai responden dan 5 orangtua dari siswa sebanyak 23 orang tadi yang dijadikan sebagai informan wawancara.Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan Perceraian orang tua disebabkan oleh berbagai macam faktor seperti cemburu, faktor ekonomi, tidak adanya keharmonisan, adanya pihak ketiga, meninggalkan tanggung jawab, cacat biologis, dan krisis akhlak. Terdapat beberapa factor yang lebih dominan dalam perceraian orang tua seperti perasaan cemburu, kondisi ekonomi, keharmonisan dalam keluarga dan gangguan pihak ketiga yang menurut data hasil penelitian masing-masing faktor berada pada angka persentase 21.74% serta 13.04% dari factor prinsip tanggung jawab keluarga.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak sosial dan akademik perceraian orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran PKn di SMP Negeri 1 Ma’rang Kecamatan Ma’rang Kabupaten Pangkep dan upaya orang tua dalam membantu resiliensi siswa korban perceraian dalam meningkatkan kondisi sosial, emosional dan akademik disekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan desain “ex post facto” dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 23 anak berusia 14–16 tahun beserta orang tuanya yang memiliki latar belakang keluarga di mana orangtuanya telah bercerai. Namun, untuk keperluan penelitian, diambil sampel sebanyak 5 orang siswa yang menjadi informan dalam wawancara.Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan Perceraian orang tua memiliki dampak yang signifikan pada aspek sosial dan akademik anak. Dampak ini harus dipahami dan dikelola dengan baik oleh orang tua, pendidik, dan pihak terkait lainnya. Orang tua memainkan peran penting dalam membantu mengembangkan resiliensi siswa. Melalui perhatian, kasih sayang, dan dukungan yang diberikan, orang tua dapat memberikan landasan yang kuat bagi siswa untuk menghadapi tantangan dan stres yang diakibatkan oleh perceraian.

Abstract

The Use of the Question and Answer Method in Learning Citizenship Education Subjects at Dharmawirawan Pepabri High School Makassar. This research was conducted at Dharmawirawan Pepabri High School Makassar. The purpose of this research is to (1) determine the application of the question and answer method by the subject teachers of Citizenship Education at Dharmawirawan Pepabri High School Makassar, (2) provide an overview of knowledge about teacher and student perceptions of the use of the question and answer method in the learning process at Citizenship Education subject at Dharmawirawan Pepabri High School Makassar, (3) to find out how the obstacles a teacher faces in applying the question and answer method at Dharmawirawan Pepabri High School Makassar. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection carried out through interview and documentation techniques. The sample in this study were 2 class XI teachers. The results showed that: (1) The application of the question and answer method in the learning process of civic education at the Dharmawirawan Pepabri High School Makassar was considered to be running well. This is evidenced by the results of interviews conducted with Citizenship Education teachers who show that the application of the question and answer method in the learning process is to facilitate interaction between teachers and students so that learning activities will be more effective and efficient.(2) The consideration of a teacher choosing the question and answer method at Dharmawirawan Pepabri High School Makassar, to apply the question and answer method, which is to give effect to students to always be ready to master the subject matter before starting the teaching and learning process at school so that students will always focus on the material provided. (3) The obstacles faced by a teacher in applying the question and answer method at the Dharmawirawan Pepabri Makassar High School are divided into (a) the student factor (b) the duration factor, (c) the facility factor.

Abstract

This research explores the role of character education in reducing recidivism among former inmates, with a focus on the Class II Penitentiary in Polewali Mandar. The issue of recidivism reflects weaknesses in the rehabilitation and social reintegration of inmates, which can be addressed through character education. Character education aims to develop moral and ethical values, as well as the ability to adapt in new social environments, helping former inmates recognize and correct past mistakes. A qualitative method with a case study approach was used to collect data through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The results show that inmates who participate in character education programs exhibit positive changes in behavior and a decrease in the recidivism rate by 20-30%. The implementation of this program was successful through collaboration between correctional institutions, government, and non-governmental organizations. This research concludes that character education plays a significant role in reducing recidivism and recommends enhancing instructor training, psychosocial support, ongoing monitoring, and community collaboration for the success of the program

Abstract

This study investigates prospective teachers’ perspectives of web-based gamification applications used as classroom learning media. This study used a mixed method. 65 students participated as questionnaire respondents, and among the respondents, 3 students who got more than a 3.85 GPA from the third-year students were purposively chosen to be the participants. They willingly participated as participants in this study. A questionnaire and an in-depth interview are the techniques to gather the data. The results reveal that the participants in this study thought that using web-based gamification applications as learning media was beneficial and influential for them. As learning media, they use web-based gamification applications such as Quizziz, Kahoot, Wordwall, and others in their teaching. Their students find the game attractive and enchanting. Although they are useful media to attract and motivate students in the teaching and learning process, the participants also mark that free access to the game might have a negative impact on both teachers and students. From their perspectives as high achievers’ students, web-based gamification also has a certain role in improving their understanding and maintaining their focus during the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Abstrak:  Kebhinekaan merupakan nilai fundamental dalam kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara di Indonesia. Namun, tantangan intoleransi, diskriminasi, dan radikalisme yang berkembang dalam masyarakat menuntut adanya penguatan pendidikan nilai-nilai kebhinekaan sejak dini, khususnya melalui jalur pendidikan formal. Artikel ini memaparkan hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas guru Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) SMP dan SMA di Kota Parepare dalam mengimplementasikan pembelajaran berbasis nilai kebhinekaan melalui pendekatan Kurikulum Sekolah Damai. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi ceramah interaktif, diskusi kelompok, simulasi pembelajaran, serta pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur efektivitas program. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep kebhinekaan dalam berbagai skala, baik personal, sekolah, nasional, maupun global. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga mampu membangun kesadaran reflektif guru dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai toleransi, anti-diskriminasi, dan perdamaian dalam pembelajaran PKn. Simulasi data pre-post-test memperlihatkan peningkatan signifikan terhadap pemahaman peserta setelah pelatihan. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini menegaskan pentingnya dukungan berkelanjutan dalam penguatan kapasitas guru agar mampu menjadi agen perdamaian di lingkungan sekolah.Kata kunci: Kebhinekaan; Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan; Sekolah Damai; Guru PKn; Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat; Pendidikan Multikultural.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis transformasi budaya kewargaan di era digital dalam konteks budaya Makassar dan Ambon. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif berbasis systematic literature review, data diperoleh dari sepuluh artikel ilmiah yang relevan mengenai transformasi budaya, kewargaan digital, dan pendidikan kewarganegaraan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan lima bentuk utama transformasi budaya kewargaan: pergeseran dari kewargaan pasif menuju partisipatif, transisi identitas tunggal menjadi majemuk, penguatan budaya inklusivitas, adaptasi kewargaan konvensional menuju bentuk digital, serta pergeseran makna kewargaan dari formalitas hukum menuju etika publik. Nilai-nilai lokal seperti Siri’ na Pacce, Sipakatau, dan Pela Gandong terbukti memainkan peran sentral dalam menumbuhkan etika kewargaan reflektif dan solidaritas sosial di tengah arus globalisasi digital. Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan berfungsi sebagai agen transformatif melalui penerapan kurikulum kontekstual, pedagogi reflektif-partisipatif, dan integrasi nilai lokal dalam bingkai global. Temuan ini memperkuat konsep technological citizenship dan multicultural civic education sebagai kerangka teoritis baru bagi pengembangan kewargaan digital yang beretika dan berkeadaban. Implikasi penelitian menegaskan perlunya penguatan literasi digital, etika publik, dan pendidikan kewarganegaraan berbasis nilai lokal untuk membentuk warga negara yang kritis, adaptif, dan inklusif dalam menghadapi tantangan globalisasi dan digitalisasi.This study aims to analyze the transformation of civic culture in the digital era in the context of Makassar and Ambon culture.. Through a qualitative-descriptive approach based on a systematic literature review, data were obtained from ten relevant scientific articles on cultural transformation, digital citizenship, and citizenship education. The analysis results indicate five primary forms of citizenship culture transformation: a shift from passive to participatory citizenship, the transition from a single to a plural identity, the strengthening of a culture of inclusivity, the adaptation of conventional citizenship to a digital form, and the shift in the meaning of citizenship from legal formality to public ethics. Local values, such as Siri' na Pacce, Sipakatau, and Pela Gandong, have been shown to play a central role in fostering reflective citizenship ethics and social solidarity amidst the flow of digital globalization. Citizenship Education functions as a transformative agent through the application of a contextual curriculum, reflective-participatory pedagogy, and the integration of local values within a global framework. These findings strengthen the concepts of technological citizenship and multicultural civic education as new theoretical frameworks for the development of ethical and civilized digital citizenship. The implications of the research underscore the need to enhance digital literacy, public ethics, and local value-based citizenship education to foster critical, adaptive, and inclusive citizens who can effectively face the challenges of globalization and digitalization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kesenjangan antara pengakuan hak kewarganegaraan mantan narapidana secara hukum dengan realitas hambatan sosial yang mereka hadapi dalam proses reintegrasi di Kecamatan Campalagian, Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus digunakan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Informan penelitian meliputi mantan narapidana, tokoh adat, tokoh agama, aparat desa, dan pelaku usaha. Analisis data dilakukan secara tematik dengan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses reintegrasi masih dihambat oleh stigma sosial berbasis nilai budaya siri’, diskriminasi administratif, keterbatasan akses kerja, serta lemahnya implementasi kebijakan. Sanksi sosial yang terinstitusionalisasi menyebabkan mantan narapidana mengalami marginalisasi sosial dan ekonomi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan pendekatan multidisiplin berbasis budaya, reformasi pelayanan publik yang nondiskriminatif, serta peningkatan koordinasi lintas sektor guna mewujudkan reintegrasi yang berkeadilan dan berkelanjutan.
