Abstract

This study aims to identify the profile of students’ critical thinking skills on environmental pollution material in therm of self confidence. The study used a mixed type of research (mix method) with an explanatory sequential model conducted on students of SMP Negeri 1 Sumenep with a total population of all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Sumenep and a total sample of 16 students for the 2020/2021 academic year. The sampling technique is done by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through test techniques, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The research data was obtained from the analysis of students' answers to the critical thinking ability test in terms of self-confidence. Indicators of critical thinking skills used are providing simple explanations, building basic skills, drawing conclusions, providing further explanations and developing strategies and techniques. The results showed that: 1) The critical thinking ability of students with low criteria was 3 students, moderate criteria were 2 students, and high criteria were 11 students. So, it can be concluded that students' critical thinking skills tend to be diverse with the category of critical thinking skills with high criteria being the most dominating ability. 2) Self confidence 9 students have a high level of self confidence, 6 students have a moderate level of self confidence, and 1 student has a low level of self confidence. So, it can be concluded that the students' self-confidence ability is dominated by having very good self-confidence.

Abstract

This development research aims to determine the feasibility, student responses and produce products for integrated science module media based on mixed separation ethnoscience themes. This research is a development research that uses the 4D development modelconsisting of(Define, Design, Develop andDisseminate).However, this development only reached the development stage. The data collection technique in this research is using a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that the integrated IPA module based on ethnoscience of mixed separation themes that was developed is included in the criteria for use, judging from the results of media expert validation of 84.37 %, media expert reliability of 92.72, material expert validation of 89.17 %, material expert reliability as big as 96.19 %. These results get a positive response so that it can be said that the integrated science module based on ethnoscience with mixed separation themes is suitable for use by seventh grade junior high school students.

Abstract

An understanding of environmental literacy needs to be implemented as a form of awareness of caring for the environment, one of which is in terms of flood disaster mitigation. Comics is a learning medium that presents material in the form of illustrated stories to make it more interesting, fun, not boring and easy for students to understand. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of science comics, as well as the readability and responses of students to science comic media. This study uses the ADDIE development model starting from the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The sample used in this study was students of class VII MTs Raudlatul Ulum who were randomly selected. Based on the research that has been done, the results are: 1) Science comic media obtains a material validation score of 84% and media validation obtains a score of 93% with a very valid category. 2) Comic media obtained a readability score of 81.4% in the very good category 3) Student responses to comic media obtained a score of 82% in the very good category. Based on these results it can be seen that science comic media is categorized as very valid so it is suitable for use as a learning medium.

Abstract

Integrated science learning in ethnoscience is very important because students can know the concrete form of local culture by constructing indigenous knowledge of the community in the process of making shrimp paste into scientific knowledge which is implemented through learning media in the form of e-modules. The purpose of this study was to produce an e-module and determine the level of validity, and student readability to an integrated science-based e-module based on ethnoscience using a flipbook with the theme of rebon shrimp paste. This type of research is development research using the ADDIE development model. The population in this study were all students of class VIII MTsN 2 Sumenep with a sample of class VIII-B. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were validation sheets of media experts, material experts, science teachers, and questionnaires student readability. The results showed that: 1) The results of the media aspect validity were 88.74% and the reliability value was 95.71% with very valid and very reliable categories. The value of the validity of the material aspect is 86.11% and the reliability value is 89.66% with a very valid and very reliable category. 2) Students' readability scores a percentage value of 88.18% with a very good category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan argumentasi siswa SMP Negeri 32 Gresik berdasarkan Toulmin’s Argument Pattern (TAP) di Desa Lasem, Kecamatan Sidayu, Kabupaten Gresik pada materi pencemaran Lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan non-experimental design. Populasi penelitian yaitu semua siswa kelas VIII Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik nonprobability sampling jenis purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 15 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes soal essai sebanyak 4 butir soal untuk mengetahui kemampuan argumentasi siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata persentase kemampuan argumentasi siswa berdasarkan Toulmin’s Argument Pattern (TAP) pada tingkat tinggi 13%; tingkat sedang 67%; tingkat rendah 20%. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa nilai rata-rata keseluruhan kemampuan argumentasi siswa berada pada tingkat sedang dengan nilai persentase sebesar 50%, (2) Berdasarkan Toulmin’s Argument Pattern yang dianalisis secara kuantitatif diperoleh data bahwarata-rata indikator kemampuan argumentasi yang paling banyak dimunculkan oleh siswa kelas VIII B UPT SMPN 32 Gresik untuk keseluruhan soal berada pada level 2.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran treffinger berbantuan media audiovisual pada kelas VII di MTsN 3 Pamekasan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimental desain dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII BING sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII MTK sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t sampel bebas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berdasarkan hasil uji-t yang diperoleh yaitu –thitung kurang dari ttabel kurang dari thitung (-2,871 kurang dari 1,669 kurang dari 2,871) (2) hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen terdapat 77,78% siswa yang tuntas. (3) respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran treffinger berbantuan media audiovisual diperoleh nilai rata-rata persentase positif tertinggi 48,99% dan nilai rata-rata persentase negatif tertinggi 56,11% dengan kriteria baik

Abstract

Media pembelajaran merupakan salah satu faktor pendukung dalam proses pembelajaran yang berperan penting bagi guru maupun siswa. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang menarik untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa yakni berbasis IT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan flip pdf professional pada materi cahaya dan alat optik pendekatan SETS yang praktis dan layak untuk digunakan. Penelitian ini mengaplikasi model ADDIE oleh Lee dan Owens, yang terdiri dari analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, evaluasi. Adapun subjek uji coba pada penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelompok, yakni kelompok kecil dan besar. Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) hasil rerata validitas sebesar 0,85 dengan keterangan sangat tinggi pada aspek media. Pada aspek materi rerata validitas sebesar 0,83 dengan keterangan sangat tinggi. (2) rerata hasil kepraktisan media di kelompok kecil sebesar 97,62% dan kelompok besar sebesar 89,00% dengan keterangan sangat praktis. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan ebook materi cahaya dan alat optik pendekatan SETS layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran dan praktis. Dalam ebook tidak hanya interaktif namun juga dilengkapi dengan beberapa fitur menarik agar siswa lebih tertarik belajar.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan utama dalam pengabdian ini untuk mengukur peningkatan literasi dan kreativitas serta respon mitra setelah menerapkan media permainan kartu UNO kimia unsur berbasis braille berdasarkan indikator literasi dan kreativitas bagi siswa tuna Netra. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SLBN Kekeyan, Kabupaten Bangkalan. Metode pada kegiatan ini berupa praktek penerapan media permainanan kartu UNO kimia unsur berbasis braille. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes literasi kreativitas dan angket respon mitra. Responden yang digunakan dalam program ini sebanyak 35 orang yang terdiri atas 30 orang pengajar dan 5 orang siswa tunanetra. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan kemampuan literasi kreativitas mitra dengan kategori tinggi 25% dan kategori sedang 75%.Abstract: The main objective of this community service is to measure the increase in literacy and creativity and partner responses after implementing the Braille-based chemical element UNO card game media based on literacy and creativity indicators for blind students. The implementation of this community service activity was carried out at SLBN Kekeyan, Bangkalan Regency. The method in this activity is in the form of practicing the application of Braille-based chemical element UNO card game media. The instruments used are creativity literacy tests and partner response questionnaires. The respondents used in this program were 35 people consisting of 30 teachers and 5 blind students. The results of the community service activity showed that there was an increase in the partners' creativity literacy abilities with a high category of 25% and a moderate category of 75%.

Abstract

Batik Ghentongan Tanjung Bumi Madura, as a representation of local cultural wisdom, offers meaningful potential for contextual integration into science education. The aim of this research was to analyze the validity and reliability of an instrument designed to assess student responses to Batik Ghentongan Tanjung Bumi Madura. The study was conducted in Tanjungbumi Subdistrict, Bangkalan Regency, East Java, Indonesia, involving 248 junior high school pupils, including of 119 males and 129 females, selected through simple random sampling. A quantitative survey design was employed using 8 items on a 4 point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using common factor analysis and the Rasch model with Winsteps software version 4.7.0.0. The results show that 6 items met the validity criteria, while 2 items require revision; the raw variance explained by measures reached 24 percent, indicating acceptable unidimensionality, and the Cronbach Alpha value of 0.95 demonstrates excellent internal consistency reliability. In conclusion, the instrument is adequate valid and reliable for identification students’ responses to Batik Ghentongan Tanjung Bumi Madura, although further refinement of several items is recommended to strengthen construct validity and improve measurement precision. This study contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 4, Quality Education, and Sustainable Development Goal 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth, by promoting culturally responsive science learning and strengthening awareness of local cultural industries as a component of sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Permainan tradisional katapel yang dahulu populer di kalangan anak-anak kini dapat dijadikan media pembelajaran fisika di sekolah. Katapel mengandung berbagai konsep fisika seperti hukum Hooke, energi potensial elastis, gerak parabola, dan hukum Newton, sehingga relevan untuk pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengintegrasikan katapel dalam pembelajaran fisika SMA guna meningkatkan pemahaman konsep fisika berbasis kearifan lokal sekaligus memastikan aspek keamanannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek 24 peserta didik SMA. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan wawancara di kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 87% peserta didik merasa antusias dan menganggap pembelajaran fisika melalui praktik katapel lebih mudah dipahami serta lebih menarik. Namun, 65% peserta didik mengungkapkan kekhawatiran terkait keselamatan apabila penggunaan katapel tidak diatur dengan baik. Kekhawatiran ini dapat diatasi dengan penggunaan peluru lunak, aturan main yang ketat, area praktik yang aman, serta pengawasan guru selama kegiatan berlangsung. Dengan penerapan aturan keamanan yang ketat, katapel terbukti menjadi media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, kontekstual, dan aman bagi peserta didik SMA. Penerapan ethnofisika melalui permainan tradisional seperti katapel diharapkan dapat membuat konsep fisika menjadi lebih nyata dan mudah dipahami oleh peserta didik.
