Abstract

General Background: In today’s competitive labor market, graduates must possess not only academic excellence but also strong soft skills to secure employment. Specific Background: Interpersonal skills, problem solving, and resilience have been identified as key competencies influencing employability. Knowledge Gap: However, limited studies have examined how student organizations (ORMAWA) contribute to these competencies in the context of Islamic higher education institutions. Aims: This study investigates the influence of interpersonal skills, problem solving, and resilience on the work readiness of ORMAWA FEBI UINSU students. Results: Using a quantitative method with 98 respondents and SEM-PLS analysis, results reveal that interpersonal skills and resilience significantly affect work readiness, while problem solving does not. Novelty: The study uniquely highlights resilience as the most dominant predictor and applies SEM-PLS to an entire population of active student organization members within an Islamic university context. Implications: These findings suggest the importance of integrating soft skills development, particularly resilience, into organizational and academic programs to better prepare students for the workforce.Highlight : Resilience is the most dominant factor influencing work readiness among student organization members at FEBI UINSU. Problem-solving skills showed no significant impact, indicating its development may need more structured practice. Active participation in student organizations (ORMAWA) strengthens interpersonal skills and mental adaptability. Keywords : Interpersonal, Problem Solving, Resilience, Job Readiness, ORMAWA Students

Abstract

THE PERSPECTIVE  OF THE ISLAMIC  LAW PHILOSOPHY TOWARD THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATION  OF SPOUSE INMARRIAGE: The question appears: Can law in family describe the Fiqh by reviewing the interpretation of the texts of the Qur’an and hadith?  The  explanation  in Lughawiyah, Istishlahiyah  and Ta’liliyah  is that the Islamic law is elastic which can constantly change by time, condition,  and location.  The Islamic law is not rigid. It comes to bring the live for human being. The law is not based on the book, fiqh, or other source by the lecturers or other people. In a relationship, rights and obligation of spouse has been illustrated clearly. Later, many people think that the interpretation is not  satisfying.  The  previous  time and recent  time  has been different and changing, different places, different cultures. Even it’s possible that the opinion of the previous interpretation is not always right.

Abstract

Digital transformation is pushing retail businesses to adapt their marketing strategies through social media. This study analyzes the integration of social media by SMB MMTC and identifies the opportunities and challenges faced. Using a qualitative case study approach, data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation at the supermarket located in Medan City. The results show that Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook play a strategic role in expanding market reach, increasing engagement, and strengthening local branding. Challenges include limited human resources, algorithm changes, restricted promotional budgets, and a lack of data-driven evaluation. From an Islamic economic perspective, business practices align with Sharia principles, including transparency, honesty, and freedom from usury and uncertainty. This study concludes that social media functions as both a promotional tool and an interactive platform, with the success of transformation determined by internal readiness, content innovation, and support from a sustainable digital ecosystem. Public Interest Statement: This research is important for the public because it provides insights into how local retail businesses, such as SMB MMTC, can effectively utilize social media to expand their market, increase interaction with consumers, and implement marketing strategies that are in line with Islamic economic principles in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

Abstract: The implementation of worship in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially congregational worship, has led to a debatable problem among Muslims, including Muslims in Indonesia. Various Islamic groups in Indonesia share different opinions and views on the practice of worship during the pandemic. On the one hand, some groups reinforce that the COVID-19 pandemic should not become a barrier or hinder the religious practices. On the other hand, some others insisted that the practice of worship during the COVID-19 period must comply with predetermined health protocols. If necessary, it must be temporarily stopped to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 cases. In this regard, the Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) issued fatwa number 14/2020 concerning the implementation of worship in the COVID-19 outbreak situation. This article examines and explores the basis and considerations of the MUI in establishing a fatwa regarding the implementation of worship during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using qualitative analysis methods and the theory of maqāsīd al-sharīa, this research concludes that restrictions on the implementation of worship during the pandemic - or even prohibiting the practice of congregational worship for prone areas COVID-19 transmission - are based on considerations of benefit,. which is the essence of maqāsīd al-sharīa. The aim is to ensure five primary things (faith, soul,  mind,  offspring, and wealth). Hence, anything that can interfere with or threaten the existence of these five things must be avoided.

Abstract

The issue of divorce in Aceh is multifaceted, encompassing the interplay between customary law and the Sharia Court in resolving family disputes. While Indonesian national law governs divorce through formal judicial proceedings, many in Aceh opt for settling divorces through customary institutions aligned with Islamic values. This study aims to examine the role of these customary institutions in divorce resolution within Langsa City, Aceh, and to explore the factors influencing the community's choice of either customary law, the Sharia Court, or both. The research adopts a juridical-empirical approach with a legal pluralism framework, combining an analysis of formal legal structures with the practical legal realities in local communities. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with local residents, religious figures, and leaders of customary institutions in Langsa. The results reveal a clear tension between customary practices and the national legal system in divorce matters, with a significant portion of the population preferring customary procedures due to their accessibility and greater social acceptance. However, such customary decisions lack formal legal recognition, leading to uncertainty regarding the post-divorce rights of women and children. This study offers valuable insights into the evolving divorce practices in Aceh, shedding light on the intersection of customary law, Sharia law, and national legislation. It also suggests that greater integration of these legal systems is necessary to ensure a more just and transparent process for divorce resolution in the region.
