Abstract

Religious gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation that uses religious authority and teachings to question or doubt a person's perceptions, emotions, and experiences, so that the victim feels guilty or unfaithful. In the context of the Muslim community, this practice can occur when religious understanding is used narrowly and authoritarianly, suppressing freedom of thought, and perpetuating power imbalances—both in family relationships, communities, and religious institutions. This article examines the phenomenon of religious gaslighting from the perspective of critical Islamic education, with the aim of dismantling manipulative patterns wrapped in religious narratives. The approach used is qualitative-descriptive with literature analysis of classical and contemporary Islamic sources, as well as interdisciplinary studies in the fields of religious psychology and educational philosophy. The results of the study show that religious gaslighting is not only a matter of individual morals, but also part of an authoritarian social and cultural structure that needs to be countered through liberating (ta'dib) and transformative Islamic education. Islamic education based on the values ​​of justice (al-‘adl), compassion (rahmah), and deliberation can be a critical tool for building a healthy spiritual awareness and freeing people from the shackles of manipulative authority. Thus, education has a central role in forming a generation of Muslims who are able to distinguish between the authenticity of Islamic teachings and their misuse in the practice of power.

Abstract

Globalization as an unavoidable global phenomenon has brought significant impacts in various sectors of life, including education. In the context of Islamic education, globalization offers opportunities to access information and exchange knowledge more widely, as well as encourage the development of innovative educational technology. However, the flow of globalization also contains challenges in the form of the entry of foreign cultural influences that can threaten the sustainability of local values, including Islamic values. Therefore, Islamic education in the global era is required to maintain the integrity of the fundamental values ​​of Islam, while being able to adapt to the development of the times. This article examines how Islamic education can respond to global changes without losing its essence, with a critical, selective, and constructive approach. This study aims to provide insight into strategies that can be taken to ensure that Islamic education remains relevant and firmly rooted in Islamic values.

Abstract

Ibn Sina (Avicenna), a 10th-century Muslim philosopher, scientist, and educator, has made major contributions to Islamic educational thought. This paper aims to examine the relevance of Ibn Sina's educational thought in the context of modern Islamic educational philosophy. Through a qualitative approach with literature study, this article analyzes Ibn Sina's ideas on the goals of education, stages of child development, and learning methods, as well as their relationship to the challenges of contemporary Islamic education. The results of the study show that Ibn Sina's thoughts are not only philosophical but also applicable, and remain relevant in efforts to build a holistic and sustainable Islamic education system.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the story method and its implications in applying Islamic Religious Education values in early childhood. This is a descriptive qualitative study with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. This study analyzed data through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings revealed that forming faith, worship, and morals at an early age in learning can be accomplished through the use of the story method, in which the teacher reads directly to students a unique and exciting storybook containing the value of Islamic religious education. Then, the teacher illustrates what is told to the students. It is also enriched with good habits through daily routine activities, exemplary teachers, discipline, and applying the values of faith, worship, and morals in life so that students can understand the materialexplained by the teacher. Concluded, following the implementation of the story method at PAUD Durian Ajung Padang Pariaman, students have applied good morals when entering classrooms by reciting prayers taught by the teacher and performing greetings. Those activities have become habits performed daily.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membawa dampak besar dalam kehidupan anak-anak, terutama dalam penggunaan gadget untuk hiburan dan pembelajaran. Namun, penggunaan gadget yang tidak terkontrol dapat menyebabkan berbagai permasalahan, seperti kecanduan, gangguan sosial, dan penurunan prestasi akademik. Seminar interaktif tentang kesadaran digital ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman anak-anak, orang tua, dan pendidik mengenai dampak baik dan buruk penggunaan gadget serta memberikan strategi pengelolaan yang lebih bijak. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara offline dengan metode penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif, dan simulasi kasus yang melibatkan 48 peserta dari berbagai latar belakang. Hasil seminar menunjukkan bahwa metode interaktif efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta mengenai pentingnya pengawasan dalam penggunaan gadget. Orang tua dan pendidik memperoleh wawasan mengenai strategi membatasi penggunaan gadget, sementara anak-anak belajar mengenai keseimbangan dalam penggunaan teknologi. Selain itu, seminar ini menegaskan pentingnya peran guru dalam mengajarkan literasi digital kepada siswa guna membantu mereka memahami penggunaan internet yang aman dan etis. Dengan hasil yang positif, seminar interaktif ini dapat menjadi model edukasi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran digital masyarakat. Keberlanjutan program serupa di masa depan sangat dianjurkan untuk memperluas dampaknya.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of seventh-grade students of SMPN 3 Pancung Soal, Pesisir Selatan Regency in the subject of Islamic Religious Education and Character Building. This occurs because the use of conventional learning modules that tend to be monotonous, less visually appealing, and do not encourage students to actively think or discuss. This study aims to develop a comic-based learning module that is valid, practical, and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. This type of research is research and development (R&D) with the 4D model (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). The define stage is carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation to identify needs. At the design stage, a comic-based module design is produced. The development stage involves expert validation, practicality testing by teachers and students, and effectiveness testing through critical thinking ability tests with score analysis, Independent Sample T-Test, and N-Gain. The dissemination stage is carried out by distributing the module in printed and PDF forms. The results showed that the validity of the module obtained a percentage of 86% (very valid). Practicality received a score of 90% from teachers and 86% from students (very practical). The effectiveness test showed a significance of 0.000 (<0.05) and an average N-Gain of 77% (high category). Thus, the comic-based learning module was proven valid, practical, and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The development of moral creed material must have a contemporary concept. The decline of social concern in adolescents is a problem in today's society. This is shown by the lack of attention to social activities around the house, lack of respect for the presence of others, and lack of sensitivity to the environment. The purpose of this study is to analyze the development of Akidah Akhlak materials based on social care character education at MTsN 5 Padang City. This research is field research, meaning that it is conducted at the place in question. The approach is qualitative which allows understanding of social phenomena or human behavior through descriptive, interpretative, and in-depth analysis. The development of moral creed material in MTs is a complex process and requires deep attention to the needs of students and the environmental context. The character of social care needs to be integrated into the moral creed material considering the recent moral degradation of adolescents. The development of social care-based moral creed material is carried out in several stages. Starting from needs analysis, curriculum preparation, material development, implementation, to evaluation. Teachers of moral creed subjects can use moral creed materials that are integrated with this character education in the hope of improving the morals of their students.

Abstract

Iklim pembelajaran yang dikembangkan oleh pendidik mempunyai pengaruh yang sangat besar terhadap keberhasilan belajar. Begitupun kualitas dan keberhasilan pembelajaran sangat dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan dan ketepatan pendidik dalam memilih dan menggunakan strategi pembelajaran. Pemilihan strategi dan metode yang sesuai dengan tujuan kurikulum dan potensi peserta didik merupakan ketrampilan dasar yang harus dimiliki oleh pendidik. Kenyataannya pendidik yang mengajar SKI di MTs Al-Falah Padang belum menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang mengembangkan iklim pembelajaran kondusif untuk belajar. Hal ini terlihat dari penggunaan metode yang monoton, yakni mencatat, ceramah dan sedikit tanya jawab. Pilihan metode yang kurang tepat ini, diduga sebagai salah satu penyebab kebanyakan peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam mengikuti pelajaran SKI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan bertanya dan prestasi belajar peserta didik pada materi pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI) melalui strategi learning starts with a question pada kelas VIII MTs Al-Falah Padang semester II Tahun Pembelajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subyek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIII yang berjumlah 28 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes. Observasi digunakan untuk menjaring data kemampuan bertanya dan tes digunakan untuk memperoleh data prestasi hasil belajar peserta didik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan persentase. Hasil dari penerapan strategi learning starts with a question dalam pembel-ajaran SKI cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bertanya dan prestasi belajar peserta didik. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil penelitian yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan bertanya peserta didik sebesar 82,14%, dan prestasi belajar peserta didik sebesar 42,86%.

Abstract

Lansia mengalami kemunduran dalam berbagai fungsi dan kemampuan yang dimiliki yang merupakan proses berkurangnya daya tahan tubuh dalam menghadapi rangsangan dari dalam dan luar tubuh. Hal tersebut mempengaruhi penilaian dalam diri lansia salah satunya yaitu terkait harga diri dimana lansia merasakan tidak berguna dan berharga. Harga diri dapat ditingkatkan salahsatunya dengan menggunakan terapi nonfarmakologi yaitu reminiscence therapy yang mengedepankan pendekatan perilaku kognitif memelihara memori untuk kesehatan mental. Tujuan penelitian ini diketahuinya pengaruh reminiscence therapy terhadap harga diri lansia di Balai Pelayanan Sosial Tresna Werdha (PSTW) Unit Budi Luhur Kasongan BangunJiwo, Kasihan Bantul Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini berjenis kuantitatif dengan rancangan Quassy eksperimental pre-test, post- test design with control group. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh lansia hipertensi di Desa Wirogunan sebanyak 95. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan consecutive sampling didapatkan 48 responden (24 intervensi dan 24 kontrol). Analisis data menggunakan uji wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebelum perlakuan harga diri kelompok intervensi yaitu rendah sebanyak 11 responden (45,8%) dan kelompok kontrolyaitu rendah sebanyak 12 responden (50,0%) dan setelah intervensi didapatkan hasil harg diri kelompok intervensi yaitu tinggi sebanyak 19 responden (79,2%) dan kelompok control yaitu sedang sebannyak 13 responden (54,2) Hasil uji wilcoxon didapatkan nilai pada kelompok intervensi yaitu z -3.8391 dengan signifikansi 0,000 dan nilai pada kelompok control yaitu z -1.000 dengan signifikansi 0,317. Kesimpulannya terdapat pengaruh pemberian reminiscence therapy terhadap harga diri pada lansia.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of the Daarul Qur'an Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPA) in improving Al-Qur'an reading and developing children's morals in Air Bangis, West Pasaman. The method used is a qualitative approach with interview techniques, observation and documentation. The research subjects consisted of TPA managers, teachers, and children who took part in learning programs at the TPA. The research results show that TPA Daarul Qur'an has made a significant contribution to improving children's Al-Qur'an reading abilities, which is reflected in the development of more fluent and correct reading abilities. Apart from that, TPA also plays an active role in moral development, through teaching the moral values ​​contained in the Koran and the example set by its teachers. This moral development has a positive impact on children's attitudes and behavior, both at home and at school. Overall, this research concludes that TPA Daarul Qur'an makes a very important contribution to the spiritual and moral development of children in Air Bangis, West Pasaman.
