Abstract

Metode penelitian kuantitatif memainkan peran penting dalam penelitian ilmiah, terutama dalam menghasilkan data yang objektif dan dapat diukur. Metode ini banyak digunakan untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian yang memerlukan analisis berbasis angka dan statistik. Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep dasar, jenis-jenis, tahapan, dan kelebihan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Penulisan artikel dilakukan melalui pendekatan studi literatur dengan mengumpulkan data dari berbagai dokumen, jurnal ilmiah, buku dan literatur. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis literatur untuk mengidentifikasi, mengevaluasi, dan mensintesis temuan-temuan utama tentang metode penelitian kuantitatif. Hasil kajian diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang metode penelitian kuantitatif dan menjadi salah satu referensi teoritis dalam memilih dan menerapkan metode penelitian kuantitatif.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the principal’s coaching strategy in developing teachers’ pedagogical competence at SMA Negeri 3 Sanggau, to identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and to analyze its impact on teaching and learning. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Informants involved included the principal, vice principal for curriculum, six teachers, and two students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the coaching strategy was implemented through the stages of pre-supervision, observation, and post-supervision, emphasizing reflection, collaborative dialogue, and constructive feedback. Supporting factors included the principal’s supportive leadership, an open school culture, and educational policy support. The main obstacles were teacher resistance, limited time, and lack of understanding of the coaching concept.The impact of coaching was evident in the improvement of teachers’ pedagogical competence, particularly in understanding learning concepts, designing interactive learning, and conducting reflective evaluation. This study highlights the importance of the principal’s role as a coach in academic supervision to create effective and sustainable learning.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the strategy of financing education in private schools. Based on research conducted by researcher, studies on education financing strategies during the Covid-19 pandemic have not been widely carried out. The research method was conducted through literature studies from national and international journals, government policy documents, and books. Data analysis used qualitative descriptive approach. The results of the study show that the strategy of financing education during the Covid 19 pandemic mostly goes well with the policy alignments from the government through internet data quota assistance, affirmation and performance School Operational Assistance, scholarships, wage subsidies, and Single Tuition in universities. However, there are several schools, especially private schools that have difficulty paying teacher's salary, teacher welfare declines, and parents who are late paying educational management contribution. The strategy for education financing solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic is that government policies in the form of assistance to students and parents need to be continued, consistency of budget planning by schools, use of budgets that prioritize priority scales, and transparency and accountability in the management of education financing.

Abstract

Abstract The objective of this study is to determine the effect of servant leadership in improving teacher performance, school quality, and learning. The study used a literature review using reference books, national and international journals as a reference source. Data analysis used a descriptive qualitative approach. The results show that: 1) theoretically and conceptually, servant leadership has relevance to principals’ leadership; and, 2) practically, the relevant research results show a significant and positive influence of servant leadership on improving teacher performance, school organization, and improving the quality of learning. Key Words : Leadership, Servant, Principal, Performance, Quality Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan pelayan dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru, mutu sekolah dan pembelajaran. Penelitian menggunakan studi literatur dengan menggunakan referensi buku, jurnal nasional dan internasional sebagai sumber rujukan. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) secara teoritis dan konseptual, kepemimpinan pelayan memiliki relevansi terhadap kepemimpinan kepala sekolah; dan, 2) secara praktis, hasil penelitian yang relevan menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan dan positif kepemimpinan pelayan terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru, organisasi skeolah dan perbaikan mutu pembelajaran. Abstract

Unequal teacher distribution remains a persistent challenge in Indonesia despite the implementation of national standards for student-teacher ratios. This study aims to analyze the trends and proportions of student-teacher ratios in public and private elementary schools across Indonesia and to examine teacher distribution patterns in Sanggau Regency as a regional context. Employing a quantitative descriptive comparative approach, the study utilizes secondary data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and the Basic Education Data System (Dapodik) from 2021 to 2024. The unit of analysis comprises 38 provinces in Indonesia and Sanggau Regency. Student teacher ratios were calculated and analyzed using trend and comparative analyses. The findings reveal that the ratio in public elementary schools steadily declined from 15.35 in 2021/2022 to 14.29 in 2024/2025, indicating improved teacher availability, whereas private schools exhibited fluctuating patterns, ranging from 15.87 to 16.07. Three provinces, DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten, consistently exceeded the national ideal standard, suggesting the need for targeted teacher redistribution policies in high-density regions. In Sanggau Regency, overall ratios improved, yet substantial disparities among sub-districts persisted. The novelty of this study lies in integrating national trend analysis with regional contextual analysis to provide a more comprehensive understanding of teacher distribution dynamics. These findings emphasize the importance of data-driven and region-specific policies to achieve equitable teacher allocation and improve the quality of basic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Transformational leadership is an important factor in facing educational challenges in the digital age, which demands innovation, collaboration, and improved teacher competence. This study aims to analyze the role of transformational leadership in improving teacher motivation and skills in Border Areas in the digital era. The research subjects include teachers and principals of senior high schools in the Indonesia-Malaysia border region. The approach used is a mixed method, which is a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. Data were collected through questionnaires to obtain a quantitative picture of teachers' perceptions of principal leadership, and interviews to explore a more comprehensive understanding of transformational leadership practices in schools. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistical techniques and thematic analysis. The results of the study show that transformational leadership plays a significant role in increasing teacher work motivation, strengthening professional commitment, and encouraging the development of digital skills relevant to the demands of 21st-century learning. Principals who apply a transformational leadership style are able to create a work environment that is inspiring and adaptive to technological changes. This study recommends the need for digital leadership training programs for principals to strengthen their ability to motivate and empower teachers in the era of educational transformation

Abstract

This study examines the influence of supervisor knowledge and clinical supervision on teacher performance in senior high schools in Kapuas Hulu Regency, Indonesia. A quantitative survey design was employed involving 209 teachers selected through purposive sampling from a population of 557 teachers across 32 schools. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires measuring supervisor knowledge and clinical supervision, while teacher performance data were obtained from teacher performance management assessments. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, simple linear regression, and multiple regression with SPSS. The results indicate that supervisor knowledge significantly influences teacher performance with a coefficient of determination of 67.5%. Clinical supervision also has a significant effect on teacher performance, accounting for 74.6%. When analyzed simultaneously, supervisor knowledge and clinical supervision account for 77.6% of teacher performance improvement. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening supervisors’ professional knowledge and implementing systematic clinical supervision to enhance teacher performance and improve the overall quality of education.

Abstract

The growing integration of digital technology in education has increasingly influenced organizational behavior, legal considerations, and ethical responsibilities within schools. This study examines the dynamics of organizational behavior in the implementation of digital technology at SMA Negeri 3 Pontianak, focusing on the challenges, adaptation processes, and implications for decision-making and institutional strategy. Using a descriptive qualitative method with an inductive approach, data were collected from 154 participants—129 students, 20 teachers, and 5 education personnel—selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques included interviews, questionnaires, observations, and document analysis, followed by thematic categorization and triangulation to validate findings. The results reveal significant behavioral changes among school members, characterized by increased collaboration, creativity, flexibility, and efficiency in learning and administrative processes. Digital technology has strengthened communication patterns and facilitated blended learning practices. However, challenges persist in terms of infrastructure limitations, uneven digital literacy, and resistance to technological change. The study highlights the importance of continuous training, supportive leadership, and adaptive management strategies to sustain digital transformation. Overall, the findings underscore that digital technology adoption not only reshapes organizational structure and culture but also enhances the school’s capacity to respond to the demands of the digital era.

Abstract

Obstacles, solutions, and follow-up actions in implementing academic supervision are essential to evaluate the success of the program. Follow-up activities can include providing feedback to teachers to discuss findings from the supervision process. Effective follow-up ensures that the results of academic supervision contribute significantly to enhancing teacher professionalism. This study aims to explore: 1) The obstacles encountered during academic supervision in schools. 2) The follow-up actions taken by principals after conducting academic supervision for teachers. 3) The outcomes of these follow-up actions on teacher performance. 4) This research employs a qualitative approach, focusing on descriptive data to analyze the forms, processes, and results of follow-up activities following academic supervision in schools. The findings reveal that academic supervision and the subsequent coaching activities carried out by school principals play a crucial role in improving teacher performance through effective follow-up.

Abstract

Capaian hasil belajar siswa belum sepenuhnya optimal terlihat dari masih adanya siswa yang belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) dalam beberapa mata pelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengelola hasil belajar siswa di SD Negeri 09 Mempawah Timur melalui fungsi manajemen perencanaan (planning), pengorganisasian (organizing), pelaksanaan (actuating), dan pengawasan (controlling). Pendekatan kualitatif jenis deskriptif digunakan dengan partisipan berjumlah 10 orang yang terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru kelas, guru mata pelajaran, dan orang tua siswa, yang dipilih melalui teknik snowball sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengelola hasil belajar siswa telah dilaksanakan melalui fungsi perencanaan dilakukan secara partisipatif berdasarkan data hasil belajar sebelumnya dan kebutuhan sekolah. Pengorganisasian dilaksanakan melalui pembagian tugas sesuai kompetensi guru dan koordinasi yang terstruktur. Pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan pendekatan humanis melalui motivasi, supervisi akademik, serta komunikasi yang efektif. Pengawasan dilakukan melalui penetapan standar ketuntasan, evaluasi berkala, dan tindak lanjut berupa program remedial serta pembinaan guru.
