Abstract

This researched aimed to show the mutation in the education field in Indonesia because every teacher and principal would have at least once in his/her carrier. Through a qualitative approach and a case study method in Cilandak subdistrict, this research tried to analyze how educators underwent mutations using strategies from Uncertainty Reduction Theory (URT). By using interview and observation techniques, it is found that almost all educators use passive, active, and interactive strategies in gathering various information about the new school that is intended before carrying out the transfer. A forum of teachers or principals and joining community educator groups can be a bridge and media in carrying out this strategy so that it can reduce uncertainties in facing new environments and avoid conflicts that may occur due to ignorance and other threats. To get a certain situation using URT, it needs good competence in interpersonal communication as well.

Abstract

Pengetahuan adalah merupakan hasil dari tahu dan ini setelah orang melakukan penginderaan terhadap obyek tertentu. Penginderaan terjadi melalui panca indera manusia, yakni indera penglihatan, pendengaran, penciuman, rasa danraba. Sebagai besar pengetahuan manusia diper oleh melalui mata dan telingah. Masyarakat (sebagai terjemahan istilah society) adalah sekelompok orang yang membentuk sebuah sistem semi tertutup (atau semi terbuka), di manasebagian besarinteraksi adalah antara individu-individu yang berada dalam kelompok tersebut. Penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) merupakan salah satu penyakit menular yang dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan dan perilaku masyarakat. Penyakit demam berdarah disebut juga Dengue Haemorragic Fever (DHF) karena disertai gejala demam dan perdarahan. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan secara cross sectional. Hasil penelitian riset tentang gambaran tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penyakit DBD dengan katagori tinggi yaitu 60% dengan jumlah 12 responden, sedangkan berdasarkan pendidikan lebih banyak tingkat pendidikan SD-SMP 70% dengan jumlah 14 responden.Kata kunci : Pengetahuan, Masyarakat, Demam Berdarah Dengue.

Abstract

Abstract: Caroseries and construction companies nowadays made substantial progress, therefore it needs good leadership, skilled, responsible and willing to understand the desire of subordinates. This research aims to determine the effect of leadership style and work environment on employee morale at caroseries company PT. Sentra Bumi Palapa Utama. This research using Quantitative Analysis method. Statistical tools used in the form of multiple regression, conducted by SPSS 20. The results shows that democraticleadership and work environment simultaneously influence work productivity. Partially, democratic leadership influence work productivity, while work Environment variables do not have any impact on work productivity.Keywords : democratic leadership, work environment, productivityAbstrak: Perusahaan karoseri dan konstruksi dewasa ini telah mengalami perubahan yang pesat, sehingga perlu adanya kepemimpinan yang profesioanal, terampil, bertanggung jawab dan mengerti keinginan karyawannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan dan lingkungan kerja terhadap semangat kerja karyawan pada perusahaan karoseri PT. Sentra Bumi Palapa Utama. Metode penelitian inimenggunakan Analisis Kuantitatif. Alat statistik yang digunakan berupa regresi berganda yang dilakukan melalui program SPSS 20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan kepemimpinan demokratis dan lingkungan kerja mempengaruhiktivitas kerja. Kepemimpinan demokratis mempunyai pengaruh secara parsial terhadap produktifitas kerja, sedangkan variabel Lingkungan Kerja secara parsial tidak mempunyai pengaruh terhadap produktifitas kerja.Kata Kunci: kepemimpinan demokratis, lingkungan kerja, produktifitas

Abstract

Teaching speaking of descriptive text in vocational high school should be in systematic way. Based on the syllabus of K13, the students had to master the generic structure and organization in descriptive text. The researcher tried to explore the teaching-learning process in the eleventh grade of SMK Kartika. This research used descriptive qualitative research. It focused on understanding the teaching-learning process from the teacher’s viewpoint of this research. This descriptive research required the researcher to explain scientifically the fact, events, and characteristics of the subject. The teacher had prepared the entire requirement of teaching and learning equipment such as attendance list, syllabus, lesson plan, media, and evaluation form. Then the teacher used the picture a media in teaching speaking descriptive text. Most of the students at eleventh graders could overcome that problem during learning speaking descriptive text. 90 % of students could comprehend the material well and 10% of students could not comprehend the material.  It indicated that some of the students understood the teacher’s explanation about the descriptive text.

Abstract

Competition in the business world, especially the cafe industry shows an increasing trend. For some internet cafe managers, the importance of creating customer satisfaction and customer loyalty is very important and a primary goal. Managers of internet cafe services are now competing to improve optimal services to achieve these goals .Customer satisfaction and customer loyalty are expressions of feelings or impressions of everyone when using a product or service. This research aims to identify and examine the factors that may affect the customer's satisfaction and loyalty in Don 's Warnet Cikarang . With a sample size of 200 people , the research carried out on the visitors who have used the services of Don 's Warnet , and conducted by purposive sampling technique .The results show that customer satisfaction is positively and significantly influenced by the quality of service and location factors . As for the only customer loyalty is positively and significantly influenced by customer satisfaction factors . The moderating variable frequency of visits and customer's place of residence does not give significant results on satisfaction and customer loyalty .Thus , it can be concluded that in order to get satisfaction and customer loyalty , besides place the business location that is close to the customer's environment , Don 's Warnet should further improve the quality of services , especially in the field of reliability of internet access , responsiveness operators , security environment and a sense of empathy towards the customer . So the satisfaction perceived by customers , is expected to make a loyal customer to the products / services used .

Abstract

This article reports an investigation of university students’ use of online Wikipedia site in writing their assignment or research report. Data were collected through a survey questionnaire and interview. First of all, a survey questionnaire was distributed among the learners (n=70) identifying their computer and internet literacy, frequency, strategy, and future orientation of using Wikipedia for their writing assignments or essays. Then, interviews with some lecturers (N=8) revealed teachers’ lack of awareness and agreement of Wikipedia in academic writing, partially due to the absence of Departmental policy. As the results, despite being already informed of the encyclopedia’s academic unreliability, Indonesian EFL informants in this study were proven to be familiar with computer and capable of using internet and incorporating Wikipedia materials when writing their essays at Andalas University. The data also indicated that students had improved their techniques of using the Wikipedia from copying-and-pasting to editing and paraphrasing. Half of them did not cross check Wikipedia article’s citations and references. Therefore, students’ awareness of the ease of Wikipedia may have encouraged them to consciously plagiarize in addition to the absence of their lecturers’ awareness upon this issue.

Abstract

Security issues have become a major issue on the Internet. One of the security methods that are widely used today is to implement a digital certificate. Digital certificates have evolved over time, one of which is the X.509 digital certificate. Digital certificates have been widely used as authentication applications, web network authentication and other authentication systems that require digital certificates. This research is carried out by implementing an X.509 digital certificate technology as a mobile web service with its client. Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA), Diffie-Hellman, and Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) are used to secure the data exchange transaction between the web service and mobile phone. SHA algorithm will be used for user authentication, Diffie-Hellman algorithm will be used for public key exchange and AES algorithms will be used for symmetric cryptography data. The results of the application of digital certificates, the SHA algorithm, Diffie-Hellman, and AES in mobile phone applications, provide security application running on web service. Abstract

 Latar belakang: Rangkaian ujian akhir semester bagi mahasiswa merupakan stressor yang menyebabkan kecemasan. Ujian akhir semester dapat berupa ujian teori dan ujian prkatek. Ujian praktek merupakan evaluasi untuk mengetahui keterampilan mahasiswa keperawatan sebelum melakukan praktek di lahan praktek. Metode ujian yang digunakan dapat menggunakan metode OSCA (Objective Structured Clinicl Assesment). Tujuan : penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh relaksasi spiritual terhadap kecemasan mahasiswa menghadapi ujian osca di stikes aisyiyah surakarta. Metode : penelitian ini merupakan quasi eksperimental one-group pre post test design, jumlah sampel sebanyak 52 responden yang diambil menggunakan tehnik simple ramdom sample. Analsis data mengguankan Paired Sample Test. Hasil : rata – rata nilai tingkat kecemasan sebelum dan setelah diberikan intervensi spiritual relaksasi mengalami penurunan 40,48 menjadi 34,04, sedangkan p 0,000 < 0,05. Kesimpulan : terdapat pengaruh spiritual relaksasi terhadap kecemasan mahasiswa menghadapi ujian OSCA di STIKES ‘Aisyiyah Surakarta.Kata kunci :Kecemasan, OSCA, Spiritual relaksasi AbstractBackground: The final semester exam for students is a stressor that causes anxiety. The final exam of the semester can be a theoretical exam and a prestice exam. Practice exam is an evaluation to know the skills of nursing students before doing practice in practice area. The test method used can use OSCA (Objective Structured Clinicl Assesment) method. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of spiritual relaxation on students' anxiety facing the osca test in STIKES Aisyiyah Surakarta. Method: This study was a one-group experimental quasi pre post test design, the number of samples of 52 respondents taken using simple ramdom sample technique. The data analyzer uses the Paired Sample Test. Results: the mean values of anxiety levels before and after spiritual relaxation interventions decreased 40.48 to 34.04, whereas p 0,000 <0.05. Conclusion: There is a spiritual influence of relaxation on students 'anxiety facing OSCA examination in STIKES' Aisyiyah Surakarta.Keywords: Anxiety, OSCA, Spiritual relaxation

Abstract

Histamine-producing bacteria to predict histamine level production can be identified by a molecular approach. The purpose of this study was to identify the types of histamine-producing bacteria on tuna, little tuna, and skipjack (TTC) meat, to analyze its bioinformatics through phylogenetic tree construction also to determine the levels of its histamine. The identification of histamine-producing bacteria was conducted using a molecular technique based on the hdc and 16S rRNA genes. Histamine levels were measured by a spectrofluorometer. The results showed types of histamine-producing bacteria had been successfully identified, both using specific hdc and 16S rRNA universal primers, including Morganella morganii, Enterobacter hormaechei, Klebsiella aerogenes, and Enterobacter bugandensis. The phylogenetic tree showed that the bacteria M. morganii and E. hormaechei were closely related to one cluster. Meanwhile, the other close relative cluster were Klebsiella aerogenes, Enterobacter bugandensis, and Escherichia fergusonii. In addition, histamine levels of frozen tuna, little tuna, and skipjack were 2.96±0.22 ppm, 2.14±0.23 ppm, and 1.02±0.97 ppm, respectively.

Abstract

Clubfoot or known as Talipes Equinovarus (TEV), is a common anomaly in world population of newborn. This condition was reported in many studies as isolated anomaly but may come with other associated congenital anomalies. This review aims to further discuss the classification of TEV, its etiopathogenesis and how to diagnosis with all kind of VACTERL associated anomaly together with TEV. Many studies show a range of incidence between 1.1-4.5 per 1000 live birth per year and there is a chance of its condition followed by multiple congenital anomalies. Even though, this anomaly was an idiopathic condition, but still there is multifactorial etiology for its in which revealed through many studies also. Nevertheless, the orthopedic management of TEV with or without other congenital conditions still continue to develop to make a better improvement for the patients.
