Abstract

This research investigates the transformative role of biblical, theological, Christian religion, and teenage education, focusing on high school students' engagement with the character of King David. Through qualitative descriptive methods, insights were gathered from participants in Christian schools and youth groups, highlighting the impact of biblical literacy on adolescents' spiritual development and moral reasoning. Findings underscored the significance of integrating biblical narratives and theological teachings in educational frameworks to cultivate a deep understanding of Christian values and virtues. The study advocates for holistic approaches that foster ethical leadership and personal growth among teenagers, emphasising the role of parental involvement and community support in nurturing adolescents' faith journeys.

Abstract

Layangan Putus is a series which air on paid application which is WeTv. This series was told us about the household of Aris and Kinan. Kinan and Aris is a wife and husband couple where their household should ruined because Aris was cheating with another woman named Lidya Danira. Kinan decided to solve their household issues through divorce. This research is analysing a lesson and value that people could take on Layangan Putus series, since this series is going viral in society, so that, it is necessary to identify and know the value and lesson in that series. The method of this research was using descriptive qualitative approach. The author of this paper was using secunder data which taken on the internet. The data collection technique was watching the full episodes of Layangan Putus series. The author of this paper then observing the series through listening to all the conversation dan dialogue from the characters in that series as well as the gestures which shown by the characters. Value and lesson which appeared in Layangan Putus must be have beneficial for the society since it can be a lesson for them to live a harmony household and make it better.

Abstract

The film "Dua Garis Biru" is a film that is popular in Indonesian society and impresses people because it creates controversy in its scenes. Bima and Dara are a teenage couple as the main characters of the film who have carried out activities beyond their limits as teenagers. The purpose of this study is to find out the description of teenage couples who have sex outside of marriage and face big problems involving Dara being pregnant and they must be responsible for what they experience with lots of opposition from the family, social background, and different ideologies. At first, they did not want to tell their parents about their condition because they were undergoing high school education. However, during school activities, Dara experienced pain and called her parents. From here, the peak of the problem occurred because of a dispute between the Bima family and Dara's family. This film educates young people about love, friendship, and family relationships in today's world. The film also teaches parents about sexual education, which sometimes parents are embarrassed to talk about with their children. The research was conducted using qualitative methods and content analysis techniques.

Abstract

The film “Avengers: Infinity War” is a film that sequel to 2012's The Avengers, and 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron. The purpose of this study is to describe the character of one of the main characters, namely Thor and also the representation of the superhero formula from Thor. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with two research approaches, namely structural to examine the character of Thor, while the literary psychology approach uses the theory of Coogan and Cawelti about the superhero formula (protagonist). The results show that Thor has 4 characters, namely 1) Thor is the main character, 2) Thor is the protagonist, 3) Thor is a flat character, because at the beginning of the scene it is shown that Thor is grieving because of the loss of his brother, so Thor tries to take revenge from the beginning to the end of the film. 4) Thor is also a static character in the film. In the analysis of the representation of the superhero formula (protagonist), three points are obtained namely, 1) mission, 2) strength, and 3) costume. The conclusion of this study is that the superhero formula changes depending on culture, civilization, and technological sophistication.

Abstract

The film Bumi Manusia is a film derived from a novel by a writer who has a lot of history in Indonesia as well as literati, namely Pramoedya Ananta Toer or often called Pram. In making this novel, he tells the story of the Dutch East Indies colonialism that existed in Indonesia during the colonial period at that time. Various conflicts during the period of colonialism appeared with stories neatly wrapped by Pram. The creation of narratives in this novel is very much related to the problem of romance, humanity, instead of ideology that is contrary to Pancasila. Pramoedya Ananta Toer or known as Pram has many great historical works. In addition to making novels, Pramoedya Ananta Toer is also a poet. One poem that is familiar to the ear is Gerak Juang. This poem is also made in the novel Bumi Manusia. In addition, there is also a poem that he made entitled Selembut Metafora Hati. The purpose of making this paper is to analyze the moral values contained in the film Bumi Manusia. This film has the value of the spirit of the struggle of indigenous figures against and fights for the position of the Indonesian people against Dutch discrimination during the Dutch colonial period at that time. At that time Minke was a native who attended HBS, a school that only accepted European descent. However, Minke was able to go to school there because he was the son of a celebrity, clever and good at writing. This film was released before Indonesia's independence day so that the audience remembers and reflects on the indigenous struggles in the colonial era. The study was written using qualitative methods that show moral values in the film. This research is expected to increase knowledge and insights about freedom fighter figures. Researchers expect good results from readers through this study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi efektivitas pendekatan pedagogi saat ini dalam mengembangkan keterampilan kerja tim dan kepemimpinan di kalangan taruna maritim di Institut Maritim. Data dikumpulkan dari 100 taruna yang mewakili tiga program besar (Deck, Engineering, dan Port & Shipping Management) melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pembelajaran kolaboratif, latihan simulasi kepemimpinan, dan program pendampingan sangat berharga dalam meningkatkan keterampilan ini. Namun, diperlukan skenario yang lebih realistis dalam simulasi kepemimpinan dan mekanisme umpan balik yang lebih terstruktur dalam kegiatan pembelajaran kolaboratif. Studi ini menyoroti pentingnya terus mengevaluasi dan meningkatkan pendekatan pedagogi dalam pendidikan maritim untuk lebih mempersiapkan taruna menghadapi tantangan industri maritim.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki pendekatan pedagogi dalam program Institut Maritim, dengan fokus pada disiplin ilmu Dek, Teknik, dan Manajemen Pelabuhan & Perkapalan. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, data dikumpulkan dari 70 taruna melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Perkuliahan ditemukan diterapkan secara luas di semua program, dengan kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan interaktivitas yang teridentifikasi. Simulasi sangat efektif, khususnya dalam program Teknik, menyoroti potensi integrasi yang lebih luas. Studi kasus banyak digunakan dalam program Manajemen Pelabuhan & Perkapalan, yang menunjukkan manfaatnya dalam mendorong pemikiran kritis dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya menyelaraskan pendekatan pedagogi dengan kebutuhan spesifik disiplin ilmu dan mengintegrasikan beragam metode pengajaran untuk meningkatkan pengalaman belajar. Rekomendasinya mencakup memasukkan elemen interaktif ke dalam perkuliahan, memperluas penggunaan simulasi, dan memperkuat integrasi studi kasus. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini berkontribusi terhadap kemajuan pendidikan maritim dengan memberikan wawasan tentang praktik pedagogi efektif yang mempersiapkan taruna untuk sukses berkarir di industri maritim.
