This research paper delves into the intricate process of adaptation undertaken by cadets enrolled in the Port & Shipping Management Study Program at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pelayaran (STIP) Jakarta. These cadets are subject to a rigorous Maritime Education and Boarding Learning System, which combines elements of semi-military and fully vocational training to prepare them for maritime industry roles, with a particular emphasis on the Port and Shipping sector. Employing a descriptive qualitative methodology, this study aims to unravel the strategies and challenges faced by cadets as they strive to maintain a delicate balance between the demanding aspects of their daily life. This equilibrium includes the rigorous academic commitments of the Port & Shipping Management Program, the disciplined and structured lifestyle imposed by the Maritime Education and Boarding Learning System, and the imperative of cultivating a smart approach to their studies. Through a thorough examination of the cadets' experiences, as conveyed through interviews and document analysis, this research paper aims to elucidate the psychological and behavioural intricacies of cadet life. It explores how they navigate through the challenges, adapt to the demanding environment, and ultimately prepare themselves for fulfilling careers within the maritime industry. The findings of this study will provide valuable insights into the educational and psychological dynamics involved in cadet adaptation. These insights may have significant implications for improving the curriculum, support systems, and overall quality of education provided in the Port & Shipping Management Study Program at STIP Jakarta.

The shipping business at the port requires planning in managing time, starting from the ship arrival until the ship leaves the port. Having a prediction or forecast of the ship's time in Port can help the ship's sailing schedule. This research uses machine learning method which is one of the branches of artificial intelligence to predict the time of ships in port for container and general cargo ships where the machine learning algorithm is used to study a set of data and make predictions. Based on the data of arrival time and departure time of ships at Tanjung Priok Port during 2022 and 2023, using Random forrest algorithm, linear regression, KNN regression and SVM, it was obtained that linear regression had mean absolute error, mean squared error, and Root Mean Squared Error more precise than the other algorithms and their determinant coefficients close to one

This research investigates the post-internship phase for cadets at the Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pelayaran Jakarta with a focus on curriculum effectiveness, vocational training impact, language proficiency challenges, technology integration preferences, and the intricate influence of geographical diversity. Results reveal the integrative curriculum's success in transitioning theoretical knowledge to practical application, emphasizing the critical role of vocational training. Language proficiency nuances and a desire for balanced technology integration emerge, while geographical diversity affects cultural adaptation. Implications include refining maritime education, fostering inclusivity, and aligning educational practices with industry demands. Recognizing limitations, the study advocates for broader institutional research and targeted language proficiency investigations in future studies.

This research explores the critical need for speaking skills and competencies in English in the context of vocational education. Through a comprehensive exploration of language skills, linguistics and literature, human resource management, and the role of learning organizations, this study provides an in-depth understanding of the important role of literacy in English in vocational education. Almond is a phenomenal novel written by Sohn Won Pyung. Almond himself tells about a child who has alexthymia disorder in his brain. This novel tells the life of a person named Yoonjae who cannot feel various kinds of emotions . Almond 's novel itself does not only focus on his struggle against Alexthymia disorder but also tells the twists and turns of his life. The Almond novel is a psychological novel with the theme of mental health so that in it there are many moral messages that can be taken. Moral itself is a human behavior, where the parameters depend on the values and rules held by society in each environment. Morals are the difference between good and bad. The author will examine the novel Almond by using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The author uses primary and secondary data, where the primary data is taken from the analysis of reading the novel repeatedly, while the secondary data is taken through the internet. The author reads the novel Almond and then pays attention to the behavior and character of the characters, then the data is analyzed so that it can be presented in this paper.

The story is written in the novel and the film “Hujan Bulan Juni” is a literary and language film breakthrough in poetry with the intervention of a culture. This novel was filmed to convey a message from the journey of love that is implied in poetry with a myriad of meanings. The story told tells of two people who have differences in religion, culture, ethnicity, family conflicts, and long-distance relationships are united into a couple that has meaning and meaning, Pingkan who is a Manado girl who becomes a Japanese Literature Lecturer at the University of Indonesia and Sarwono is a Javanese boy who is a Lecturer in Anthropology at the University of Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning and message implied in the poetry in Pingkan and Sarwono's relationship and analyze cultural interference in their relationship. This film provides meaning regarding the meaning of a relationship struggle. The method used is descriptive, qualitative, and correlational. The results of the study reveal that observing the moral values that can be obtained can provide awareness about differences, struggles, and views about a complicated or complicated conflict.

This research delves into the intricate relationship between English language competency, specifically in speaking skills, and the empowerment of young learners within the context of early childhood education. Combining descriptive qualitative research with an extensive literature review, the study elucidates the profound implications of language proficiency on child empowerment. The research employs a methodology involving in-depth interviews, systematic classroom observations, and content analysis. Subjects comprise young learners in early childhood education, with a focus on their English language proficiency in speaking. Data collection includes semi-structured interviews with educators, parents, and learners, alongside literature review findings. The outcomes reveal that language proficiency functions as a transformative tool, fostering self-confidence, self-expression, and active learning participation. Proficient speakers exhibit enhanced agency and autonomy, equipping them with cognitive tools for academic success and global navigation. Disparities in language competency and empowerment among young learners are identified, necessitating inclusive educational practices and targeted support. This research underscores educators' pivotal role, alongside engaged parents and inclusive curriculum design, in fostering language proficiency as a means of empowering children in early education. The study contributes to a holistic understanding of language's role in shaping the foundations of empowered, lifelong learners.Â

Employing a blend of descriptive qualitative research and an extensive literature review, this study unveils the profound impact of language competence on the emotional expression and social interactions of early learners. The findings unearth a spectrum of language proficiency levels among early childhood education students, influenced by factors such as extracurricular exposure to English and pedagogical approaches. Remarkably, students endowed with higher listening skill competence manifest increased self-assuredness in emotional expression and active participation in social interactions. Conversely, those with more restricted linguistic abilities encounter hurdles in articulating emotions and navigating social integration. The pivotal role of educators emerges as a central theme, where positive teacher-student relationships and inclusive classroom environments foster language development and emotional maturation. Moreover, this study delineates best practices and strategies, including interactive learning activities and family engagement, as potent tools for augmenting language proficiency within early childhood education settings. As environmental challenges continue to intensify globally, there is an increasing need for educational systems to foster ecological awareness and sustainable living practices. This paper explores the integration of ecospirituality within religious education, combining deep ecology and faith-based pedagogy to promote environmental consciousness among students. Ecospirituality, a concept that merges ecological awareness with spiritual beliefs, provides a holistic framework that not only encourages ecological stewardship but also aligns these practices with religious values. The paper examines key principles of deep ecology, such as the interconnectedness of all life, biospherical egalitarianism, and anti-consumerism, and explores their application in educational contexts. It also delves into how religious education has historically approached environmental issues, particularly through faith-based pedagogies that emphasize moral responsibility for creation. Using a qualitative research approach, the study conducts content analysis of religious curricula, interviews with educators, and textual examination of religious literature to uncover ecological principles within religious teachings. The findings suggest that the integration of ecological themes into religious education enhances students' understanding of environmental ethics and strengthens their connection to nature. Despite challenges such as resistance to curriculum changes, variations in theological interpretations, and the need for teacher training, the study highlights innovative solutions, including professional development and curriculum adaptation. The comparison with secular environmental education models shows that ecospirituality offers a unique approach by embedding sustainability within spiritual practices. The paper concludes by recommending further research and curriculum development to ensure that ecospirituality can play a central role in shaping a sustainable future through education.
