Abstract

Pelatihan membuat proposal Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) diberikan kepada para guru Bahasa Indonesia di Kota Singkawang yang bertempat di SMPN 15 Singkawang, yang beralamat di Jalan Sanggau Kulor, RT 11 RW 5, Kelurahan Sanggau Kulor, Kecamatan Singkawang Timur, Kota Singkawang. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini adalah untuk melatih para guru bahasa Indonesia di kota Singkawang dalam menyusun proposal Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang meliputi judul penelitian, latar belakang penelitian, identifikasi masalah penelitian, rumusan masalah penelitian; tujuan penelitian; manfaat penelitian; landasan teori; metodologi penelitian; dan daftar Pustaka. Pelaksanaan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat terdiri dari tahapan: (1) pemberian materi pelatihan yang meliputi hakikat dan sistematika penulisan proposal penelitian tindakan kelas; (2) latihan menulis proposal penelitian tindakan kelas; (3) menilai proposal penelitian tindakan kelas yang disusun guru; dan (4) memaknai tanggapan peserta pelatihan terhadap kegiatan PKM yang dilakukan. Keberhasilan dari pelatihan ini terlihat dari kemampuan para peserta menyusun proposal PTK. Sebanyak 22 peserta (81,5%) telah menyusun proposal dengan sistematika yang lengkap dan hanya 5 peserta (8,5%) yang sistematika proposalnya belum lengkap. Hal-hal yang masih perlu ditingkatkan adalah identifikasi masalah penelitian, tinjauan teoretis, metodologi penelitian, dan penulisan daftar pustaka. Tanggapan para peserta pelatihan terhadap kegiatan PKM ini sangat positif yakni yang berkaitan dengan pelayanan tim PKM, penguasaan materi, relevansi materi, penyajian materi, sistematika materi, ketersediaan waktu, dan rencana pelaksanaan PTK. Namun demikian, masih ditemukan 6 peserta yang masih ragu-ragu untuk melaksanakan PTK. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh kekurangpahaman dan kekhawatiran karena selama ini belum pernah melakukan PTK.

Abstract

This study addressed the problem of many teachers lacking understanding of module structure and insufficient reference materials, leading to suboptimal educational modules. Limited media usage also caused boredom and low learning outcomes. The study aimed to develop an educational module, assess its feasibility, test media effectiveness, and determine the module"™s practical viability. By using the ADDIE model with a research and development (RD) approach, this study involved students of class VII C of SMP Negeri 02 Pontianak. Data were collected through testing and analyzed with validity tests, normality tests, t-tests and N-gain tests. The results showed a validation rate of 97.64% by material experts, 94% by media experts, and 93.84% by language experts, with values that were normally distributed in the normality test. The t-test showed a significant influence on student learning outcomes. In the small group test, the average pre-test and post-test scores were 65.77 and 85.55, respectively, resulting in an N-gain of 0.6024 (moderate category). In the large group test, a mean of 64.66 and 86.73 was obtained with an N-gain of 0.6110 (moderate category). These results confirm the media"™s effectiveness in enhancing learning outcomes. The module"™s usability scored 73 points, or 97%, placing it in the "very useful" category.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the representation of women in the film "Satria Dewa: Gatotkaca" and to develop a teaching module as a learning media. The research utilizes a descriptive method with a qualitative research design. The primary source of this research is the film "Satria Dewa: Gatotkaca". The theoretical framework employed to analyze the research problem is semiotic theory. Data collection techniques involve documentary study methods by selecting scenes from the research object. The findings of this study indicate that there are several scenes depicting the representation of women in the film "Satria Dewa: Gatotkaca". The representation of women is observed through signs and meanings analyzed using Roland Barthes' semiotic theory. The implementation of Indonesian language teaching in this study is in the form of a Teaching Module Reviewing Fiction Works in audiovisual format for Grade VII, Second Semester, Junior High School (SMP) under the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the perceptions of master's students in Indonesian Language Education regarding the use of the Edlink platform to support blended learning. The scope of the research includes an analysis of the ease of use of the Edlink platform, the utilization of its features, learning effectiveness, interactions between students and lecturers, and the overall satisfaction with the use of Edlink as part of the technological integration in education that supports blended learning. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, collecting data through direct observation and semi-structured interviews with 10 respondents from the Master's program in Indonesian Language Education at Tanjungpura University. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to gain a deeper understanding of the students' perceptions. The findings indicate that the Edlink platform offers convenience for students and provides adequate and relevant features for the course material and assignments given by lecturers. Furthermore, students consider Edlink effective in supporting learning, particularly in the context of blended learning, which combines online and offline learning activities. However, other findings suggest that the level of interaction between students and lecturers on this platform remains suboptimal, especially in the use of interactive features such as discussion forums. Nevertheless, the majority of students are satisfied with the use of Edlink as a learning platform and perceive it to have a positive role in supporting blended learning that integrates technology into education at the master's level.

Abstract

This research discusses the problem of the use of diction and language style in the writing of short stories of class IX students of SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. The purpose of the research is to describe the use of diction based on its meaning, lexical, and language style in the writing of short stories of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. The method used is descriptive method in qualitative form. The data source of this research is the ninth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. Data collection techniques used written test techniques with observation, assignment, field survey, data retrieval, and documentation. The research resulted in the use of diction based on its meaning, namely: denotative as many as 13 students while connotative as many as 22 students, the use of diction based on lexical as many as 14 students in the form of synonyms and as many as 18 students in the form of antonyms, while language styles were used as many as three language styles, namely: comparison, affirmation, and opposition in writing short stories of 32 students in class IX E.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain the preparation, execution, and learning outcomes of news texts for grade VII B students utilizing the Problem Based Learning teaching methodology. The research is carried out in two cycles, each involving planning, acting, observing, and reflecting using a descriptive version of Class Action Research (PTK). The data for this study was collected from all grade VII B students at SMP Negeri 1 Simpang Hilir, North Kayong Regency, during the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. This study's data gathering approaches include observation and testing. This study generates planning in cycles I and II that are tailored to the module, as well as implementation tailored to the module that was created. The learning results of news readings for grade VII B students utilizing the Problem Based Learning methodology have improved. In the first cycle, students received an average score of 78.04 in the good category (B) for a knowledge evaluation conducted using written text group assignments delivered in the form of LKPD. Then, in cycle II, the average student score climbed from 78.04 in cycle I to 85 good category (B) with an assessment of knowledge and abilities utilizing group discussions and class presentations.

Abstract

Pendidikan menjadi tujuan dari amanat Undang-undang Dasar Negara Republik Indonesia dan merupakan kewajiban negara dalam menyediakan pendidikan yang layak bagi masyarakat Indonesia tanpa adanya tendensi apapun. Pendidikan inklusif yaitu pendekatan yang bertujuan untuk memastikan bahwa semua anak, termasuk anak yang memiliki kebutuhan pendidikan khusus dapat belajar secara beriringan dalam lingkungan yang sama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesiapan pendidik dalam mengimplementasikan pendidikan inklusif, tantangan yang dihadapi pendidik dalam mengajar serta model pelatihan yang efektif untuk mengembangkan kompetensi guru dalam pendidikan inklusif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus di sekolah yang menjalankan pendidikan inklusif. Sampel penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah Sekolah Dasar Negeri 03 Tekarang yang ada di Kab. Sambas. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah data kualitatif berupa hasil observasi, daftar pertanyaan untuk wawancara, dan hasil dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa belum adanya kesiapan guru dalam mendidik peserta didik dengan disabilitas, ketersediaan sarana dan sumber daya yang masih kurang dalam mendukung pendidikan inklusif, serta pelatihan pendidikan inklusif yang belum merata diberikan kepada guru untuk menghadapi peserta didik dengan kebutuhan khusus. Simpulan dan saran dari penelitian ini yaitu keterlibatan pemerintah dan lembaga pendidikan dalam penyediaaan pelatihan bagi pendidik yang terfokus pada pendidikan inklusif, pemerintah dan pihak sekolah memastikan ketersediaan infrastruktur fisik dan fasilitas pembelajaran, serta penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran differentiated instruction (pembelajaran yang dibedakan) untuk menyesuaikan kebutuhan peserta didik.

Abstract

The research conducted on the film Susah Sinyal by Ernest Prakarsa was research with the aim of describing the types of presuppositions contained in the dialogue of the film Susah Sinyal by Ernest Prakarsa. This research uses a descriptive method in the form of qualitative research. The data source used in this research is the film Susah Sinyal by Ernest Prakarsa which was released in 2017. The data for this research is all the dialogue spoken by the characters in the form of words, phrases and sentences that give rise to the presuppositions contained in the film Susah Sinyal by Ernest Prakarsa. This research uses documentary study data collection techniques. The results of this research found 214 speech data that gave rise to presuppositions, consisting of 78 existential presupposition speech data, 14 factive presupposition speech data, 33 lexical presupposition speech data, 27 nonfactive presupposition speech data, 49 structural presupposition speech data, and 13 counterfactual presupposition speech data. It can be concluded that the most existential presuppositions and the least counterfactual presuppositions are found in the film Susah Sinyal by Ernest Prakarsa.

Abstract

This research was motivated by researcher"™s findings that students"™ skill of SMP Negeri 12 Ketungau Tengah in writing persuasive text was low. It was evidenced when the researcher did the pre-research. She found that the score obtained by only three students who achieved score more than or equal to 75 which is Minimum Completeness Criteria set by the school. In addition, the cause of these problems that students were never introduced to any learning media. The method used in this research was descriptive with qualitative and quantitative research. The object of this research was 18 students of grade VII of SMPN 12 Ketungau Tengah. The data in this research was in the form of a description of planning, implementation, and student test result sheets about the skills of writing persuasive texts using pictures media. Data collection techniques used in this study was direct observation and test. The results showed that there was an improvement from first cycle to second cycle. In pre-action stage, it found that students"™ mean score was only 1.188,89 or 66.05. Afterwards, the researcher applied pictures as a learning media and found that the students"™ mean score in first cycle was 1.297,13 or 72.06, it increased to 1.459,83 or 81.17 in the second cycle. This proves that pictures can improve students"™ learning outcomes in writing persuasive texts. In conclusion, based on the result of this research, it indicates that students need teacher"™s creativity and motivation in teaching and learning process

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the relationship between humans and God, with themselves, with other humans, with nature, and the implementation of cultural values in learning literature in high school. Cultural values that can be studied in the Anthology of the Origin of Pemangkat Folklore as an effort to appreciate and not folklore. This research was taken from 5 folklores, namely 1) Pemangkat Origin, 2) Batu Ballah Batu Betangkup, 3) Elephant Mountain Trunk to the West, 4) Ocean Guardian Goddess, 5) Sinam Beach Formation. The method used is descriptive method. Data analysis in this study was conducted inductively, thus producing an essential meaning in qualitative research. The approach used is the mimetic approach proposed by Abrams using the sociological literature proposed by Darmono. The data collection technique is a documentary study. The data collection tool used in this research is a document in the form of the work of 5 folk tales contained in the Anthology of Folklore of Origin Pemangkat. The data analysis technique in this study was descriptive qualitative using a sociological approach to literary works. The results of this study can be applied in schools through the cultural values contained in the Anthology of Folklore of Origin Pemangkat and can be taught to students in schools. The results of the analysis of cultural values can be stated as follows. Humans with God, namely believing in the existence of God, believing that sustenance is God's will, and believing in supernatural things. human relationships with themselves, namely emotions, feelings of pity/pity, surrender and patience, mutual understanding, never give up, despair, and strong will. human beings with other humans, namely a sense of humanity, help, respect for others, a sense of responsibility, mutual understanding, tolerance, and compassion. Human relations with nature, namely nature provides food, maintains the beauty of nature, preserves nature, nature provides prey, nature provides human needs, nature provides food, and humans destroy nature. The suggestions given in this study are as follows, the results of this study become a reference for Indonesian language teachers in learning literature in schools. In addition, the results of this study can be a reference for future researchers. Also the results of this study are expected to be a mandate or role model for human life when reading the cultural values that have been found in the Folklore of the Origin of Pemangkat.
