Abstract

That partners still lack knowledge regarding the procedures for establishing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which need to be paid attention to by partners, the implementation team feels they have to provide education regarding matters regarding procedures for establishing business entities to partners and the surrounding community. The method of implementing the activity is legal education and discussion related to the theme which is conveyed to the public, especially business actors who are members of MSMEs who have not legally registered their businesses in accordance with the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations. In the future, it is hoped that more MSME business actors will have legal awareness about how to set up a business entity so that they have legal certainty in carrying out their business activities. Then, with the continuation of this PKM activity using the same model, it can be applied to different MSMEs, and can even be expanded to MSMEs in other areas outside Kubu Raya Regency. It is also necessary to include other related parties, for example business groups, credit unions, banks and local governments, so that the scope of benefits of activities can be wider

Abstract

Research on tidal analysis based on seasons has been carried out in Lasolo Bay, Southeast Sulawesi, using secondary data, namely tidal data in 2021 in January representing the western season, April representing the transition season I, July representing the eastern season and October representing the transition season II. This study aims to determine the type of tides formed and the value of sea level elevation in each season at the research site. Tidal data processing uses the admiralty method, producing amplitudes and phase differences from 9 main harmonic components. The analysis results of the calculation of formzhal numbers show that the type of tides formed in Lasolo Bay is a mixed type of double daily inclined with a formzhal number value of 0.5618-0.7059. In addition, based on the calculation of sea level elevation, the maximum average sea level (MSL) occurs in the second transition season (October), which is 532 cm, and the western season (January) is 460 cm. For the other two seasons, the first transitional season (April) and the eastern season (July) have an average sea level of 101 cm and 130 cm.

Abstract

The issue of stunting is one of the double burdens of malnutrition (DBM) due to growth and development failures in children, which have adverse effects both in the short and long term. This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of cadres and Family Companion teams to conduct early detection of risk factors and control efforts to support the acceleration of stunting reduction programs at the village level, as well as collaboratively with the Team and the government in determining priority target families. The training aimed at improving cadres and family assistance teams was held on July 16, 2024, targeting village heads, village secretaries, family assistance team members, village PKK elements, and posyandu cadres from Mee Tanoh and Dayah Muara Villages, totaling 25 people, at the Mee Tanoh village hall, Peukan Baro District, Pidie Regency.   The results of the activity show that there was an increase in participants' knowledge after the training, with an improvement of 38.1 points from the previous average score of 53.1, rising to 78.1. This training activity can enhance the knowledge and skills of village assistance teams and posyandu cadres in screening families at risk of stunting to receive independent family assistance as an effort to reduce stunting at the village level.

Abstract

The process of translating Indonesian proverbs into their English equivalents reflects complicated interaction between language, culture, and meaning. The objective of the study was to identify the different forms of Indonesian proverbs that have equivalents in the English language, as well as the cultural similarities and differences between Indonesian proverbs and their English equivalents. This study was conducted using qualitative descriptive research methodology and employed document analysis. The data were collected in a form of documents from "Himpunan Lengkap Peribahasa Nusantara, "Kamus Peribahasa, "A Complete Collection of English Proverb, "Proverb from around the World, " and "Oxford Dictionary of Proverb. " From source texts with lexical elements relating to Indonesian culture terms, the researchers obtained another 57 Indonesian proverbs. Once the gathering of data had been carried out, the data was then analyzed through a comparison of Indonesian proverb with its English version. The findings of this study indicate that a number of Indonesian proverbs have equivalents in English with identical meanings. Nevertheless, there are dissimilarities in sentence and proverb classifications, as well as structural forms of proverbs, under the influence of factors such as "history, " "religion, " "values, " "social organization, " and "language. " This project differs from some earlier studies, which tended to focus more on issues of meaning or word-for-word translation. It examines in detail the way cultural elements like history and religious symbols affect the expression of similar ideas in these two different language traditions. This new approach uncovers previously unconsidered patterns in the manifestation of Indonesian collectivist values and English individualist values in proverbs. This helps us make further sense of issues related to intercultural communication and translation studies. One of the recommendations of the researchers is to conduct further research on the use of Indonesian proverbs and their English equivalents by EFL students.
