Abstract

Length of service, shift work, psychosocial problems included in the workload, and physical activity significantly influence how employees cope with fatigue and provide services. Handling these issues can be done with a holistic approach that does not separate spirituality from its implementation. Tazkiyatun nafs training aims to exercise self-control through tazkiyyatun nafs to increase employees' Islamic Religious Coping. The method of activities is a tazkiyatun nafs workshop that invites religious experts (experts in Islamic aqidah philosophy, Qur'an interpretation, and hadith interpretation). The training was conducted four times in one month and was equipped with a study of muhasabah verses and daily worship practices with 21 participants, but only 13 people completed the form. At the end of the session, an evaluation was conducted using the Islamic Religious Coping Short Form Positive instrument. Participants' Religious Coping showed a significant average increase from an average of 182.08 to 182.31. This training is expected to increase religiosity or good spirituality and face problems calmly, not labile and easily anxious, because religious coping born from spiritual strength can arouse a sense of confidence and optimism.

Abstract

Hypertension is a serious health issue worldwide that can lead to stroke, myocardial infarction, heart failure, dementia, kidney failure, and vision problems, and it poses a significant issue especially for the productive age, as it can reduce work productivity. The CERDIK behavior (Check health regularly, Eliminate cigarette smoke, Regular physical activity/exercise, Healthy and balanced diet, Enough rest, and Manage stress) is one of the ways that can be done to prevent and control hypertension. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the application of CERDIK behavior among productive age hypertensive patients at Air Putih Community Health Center. This research is an observational study with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted from April to June 2024 at the Air Putih Public Health Center in Samarinda City. The sample consisted of 130 people who regularly underwent hypertension checks, selected through simple random sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using multiple logistic regression testing. The results of the multiple logistic regression analysis indicate that the most significant factors related to CERDIK behavior are self-efficacy (p= 0.000) and self-regulation (p= 0.017). Self-efficacy is a key concept in social cognitive theory. Self-efficacy affects how a person thinks, feels, motivates themselves, and acts. The self-regulation of individuals with hypertension is shaped by beliefs that enhance their ability to implement CERDIK behavior.

Abstract

Stunting is a serious health issue in Indonesia, with long-term impacts on children's development. SSGI 2022 data shows a national prevalence of 21.6%, down from the previous year but still above the WHO standard and the 2024 target. In East Kalimantan, the prevalence of stunting reached 23.9% in 2022, up from the previous year and a concern as the province will become the new capital city. Stunting impacts brain development and the risk of long-term chronic diseases, influenced by maternal education and employment, as well as limited nutritional knowledge and parenting time. This analytical observational study with a case-control design was conducted in December 2023 at Gunung Sari Ulu Primary Healthcare working area with 30 respondents (15 cases, 15 controls) selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and assessment of children's nutritional status measurements using a microtoise and infantometer . Stunting is defined as a height or length below -2 SD (WHO). Data analysis was performed using chi-square tests to assess the relationship between variables. No association was found between child gender and stunting (P-value = 1). Mothers with low education levels had a 1.313 times higher risk of having stunted children (P-value = 0.713). Although not statistically significant, non-working mothers had a 2.364 times higher risk of having stunted children compared to working mothers (P-value = 0.651). No significant relationship was found between child gender and stunting incidence. Maternal education and employment status are identified as risk factors for stunting, although not statistically significant.
