Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based learning media called SIWALAN (Source of Information, Insight, Meaning, and Symbol of Miyang Dance) for dance arts education at Vocational High Schools (SMK), as well as to determine students' responses to the media. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of the study are 25 students in Grade X of the Digital Business Skills Program at SMK Negeri 2 Tuban. Validation was conducted by media experts and material experts. The media expert validation received an average score of 3.82/4.00 (Highly Feasible), and the material expert scored 3.75/4.00 (Highly Feasible). The implementation test showed a very good response with an overall average score of 4.43/5.00. The highest aspect was attractiveness and motivation (4.56), followed by display quality (4.42), content quality (4.38), and ease of use (4.35). These findings confirm that the SIWALAN media effectively stimulates students' interest in traditional Tuban dance arts and is suitable for broader implementation in cultural arts education at SMK.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a digital character drawing learning medium based on the Ibis Paint X application for visual journal learning in junior high school students. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the Dick and Carey instructional design model, which consists of ten systematic stages. The resulting product is a digital learning medium comprising modules, video tutorials, and examples of visual artworks. Validation by content and media experts indicated that the developed medium is suitable for use. Trial results from individual, small group, and field tests demonstrated improvements in student creativity, learning motivation, and active engagement in visual arts learning. These findings suggest that contextually relevant digital learning media effectively support visual arts learning outcomes within the Merdeka Curriculum framework.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an instructional media based on Articulate Storyline that integrates Acehnese local wisdom into the material on Rapa’i Puloet Geurimpheng arts to enhance the motivation of junior high school students. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study was conducted at UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Bireuen, UPTD SMP Negeri 3 Bireuen, and UPTD SMP Negeri 4 Bireuen during the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, with the research subjects comprising 30 eighth-grade students, 2 media experts, 2 material experts, and 2 language experts. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis was performed both quantitatively and qualitatively using percentage analysis, N-Gain, and Paired Sample T-Test with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that the Articulate Storyline-based learning media is categorised as highly feasible based on validation from media, material, and language experts. The trial results show that teachers’ and students’ responses fall into the very good category. Furthermore, the product’s effectiveness results demonstrate an increase in students’ learning motivation after using the media, evidenced by improvements in pretest and posttest scores, N-Gain results in the moderate to high category, and statistical test results showing a significance value of less than 0.05. This study concludes that Articulate Storyline-based learning media, which integrates Acehnese local wisdom, is effective for use in Junior High School Arts and Culture lessons, as it can enhance students’ motivation and support the preservation of Acehnese local culture, particularly in Bireuen district.
