Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept and application of measures of position in educational statistics. Measures of position include quartiles, deciles, and percentiles, which are used to determine the relative position of a value within a data distribution. The research methodology employed is a literature review by analyzing various relevant sources, including educational statistics textbooks and scientific articles. The results of the discussion indicate that measures of position are essential in analyzing students' academic achievement, as they provide a detailed picture of data distribution. The main issue addressed in this study is the lack of students’ understanding regarding the application of measures of position in educational contexts. The data analyzed were derived from literature studies and examples of how measures of position are applied in analyzing students' exam scores. The conclusion of this study is that understanding measures of position can help educators and researchers assess individual achievements within a group more fairly and accurately.

Abstract

This study examines the essential statistical methods of correlation analysisand regression analysis, as highlighted in seminal literature indexed in Scopus. Correlation quantifies the strength and direction of linear relationships between continuous variables, typically expressed via Pearson’s r (ranging from –1 to +1) Regression analysis further extends this relationship into a predictive model through the least squares method, resulting in an equation of the form Y = mX + b, where m is the slope and b is the intercept . We emphasize the importance of verifying data assumptions (e.g., linearity, normality, homoscedasticity) before application . The synergy between correlation and regression offers both relational insight and predictive capability, demonstrating wide utility across fields such as biostatistics, social sciences, economics, and engineering

Abstract

Calculating research results, especially in the social sciences, is not easy. This is because findings in the social sciences do not always show a direct impact on the treatment being studied, unlike other scientific research. For example, in studying the effect of experimental methods on student insight, a qualitative approach is often used to analyze the results. In this article, we provide an example of research that analyzes the mean, median, and mode values. The analysis was carried out manually by relying on the mathematical skills of experts. However, to obtain broader and more valid results in social science research, we recommend the use of computational software such as SPSS and Microsoft Excel. In conclusion, research in the social sciences has a higher level of complexity, and to process and draw conclusions from the data, researchers are advised to utilize various data analysis applications.

Abstract

This study discusses the use of Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and the F-test for significance, which are statistical methods designed to test significant differences between the means of three or more groups. ANOVA works by comparing variability between groups, using the F-test to support the process based on the F-distribution to assess the significance of the observed differences. This article provides a comprehensive discussion of the fundamental concepts of analysis of variance, the steps involved in conducting the F-test, and the statistical interpretation of the test results. The explanation is presented in a systematic and easy-to-understand approach, making it helpful for researchers or students in understanding and applying ANOVA in the context of quantitative research. By understanding analysis of variance and the F-test for significance, researchers can draw valid conclusions based on data and improve the quality of evidence-based decision-making.

Abstract

Effective data presentation is an important element in statistical analysis, especially in education and research. This article discusses the importance of effective data presentation through diagrams and tables in statistical analysis, particularly in education and research. By using diagrams, such as bar and pie charts, complex information can be visualized in an attractive way, making it easier to understand trends and comparisons between categories. Meanwhile, tables provide an organized structure for presenting numbers and categories, which is very useful for the analysis and comparison of numerical data. This research uses the literature study method to collect and analyze information from various academic sources, showing that the selection of appropriate presentation methods can enhance readers' understanding and strengthen the credibility of information.

Abstract

Data statistik yang sering dikumpulkan atau sengaja dikumpulkan oleh individu atau lembaga penelitian biasanya dari berbagai jenis data dan seringkali tidak berarti. Bagi analisis sebelum data disajikan atau dibagi menjadi kelompok atau format lain. Format presentasi data yang dapat memberikan informasi yang berguna adalah distribusi frekuensi. Distribusi frekuensi ini memudahkan orang untuk mengenali bagaimana data dikumpulkan dalam kelompok dan bagaimana mendapatkan model data populasi. Pengetahuan model populasi sangat berguna jika seseorang ingin melakukan analisis statistik. Distribusi frekuensi adalah daftar nilai data dengan nilai frekuensi yang sesuai (yang dapat berupa nilai individu atau nilai data yang dikelompokkan ke dalam interval tertentu). Pengukuran yang diterima disebut data mentah.Jumlah pengukuran yang biasanya Anda terima biasanya akan bervariasi. Dengan perhatian pada data mentah, sangat sulit untuk menarik kesimpulan yang bermakna. Data mentah harus diproses terlebih dahulu sehingga Anda dapat memperoleh gambar data yang sesuai. Dalam artikel ini, dijelaskan dengan memahami distribusi frekuensi. Ini melibatkan contoh dan teknik untuk menghasilkan frekuensi distribusi.

Abstract

Fenomena pernikahan dini masih menjadi persoalan serius di berbagai wilayah Indonesia, termasuk di Kota Medan. Salah satu faktor strategis yang dapat mencegah pernikahan dini adalah pendidikan keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pendidikan keluarga dalam mencegah pernikahan dini di lingkungan V Kelurahan Padang Bulan Kecamatan Medan Baru Kota Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian meliputi keluarga yang memiliki anak usia remaja, tokoh masyarakat, dan kepala lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pernikahan dini berdampak negatif pada aspek pendidikan, kesehatan, dan kondisi psikologis remaja, serta berpotensi menimbulkan masalah sosial baru seperti perceraian dan kemiskinan. Pendidikan keluarga berperan penting dalam mencegah pernikahan dini melalui komunikasi yang intensif antara orang tua dan anak, pembinaan nilai keagamaan, serta pengawasan sosial di lingkungan rumah. Namun, pelaksanaan pendidikan keluarga masih menghadapi kendala seperti rendahnya tingkat pendidikan orang tua, tekanan ekonomi, serta kurangnya sinergi antara keluarga dan institusi sosial. Penelitian ini menawarkan model pendidikan keluarga berbasis nilai agama dan kearifan lokal yang adaptif terhadap konteks masyarakat urban. Implikasi praktis penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan bagi keluarga, lembaga pendidikan, dan pemerintah daerah dalam merumuskan strategi intervensi yang efektif untuk mnekan angka pernikahan ini.

Abstract

Pengorganisasian pada kurikulum merupakan sebuah bentuk penyususnan bahan ajar yang akan diberikan kepada peserta didik. Pengorganisasian ini juga merupakan sebuah cara untuk mempermudah ketercapaian dalam proses belajar mengajar sehingga tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai secara efektif dan efisien. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengulas berbagai jenis pengorganisasian kurikulum yang dikembangkan oleh para ahli pendidikan serta menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pengorganisasian pada kurikulum. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dengan metode studi pustaka. Hasil telaah menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa jenis pengorganisasian kurikulum, seperti kurikulum mata pelajaran, kurikulum terhubung, kurikulum luas, kurikulum terpadu dan kurikulum inti. Pemilihan jenis pengorganisasian kurikulum yang tepat harus mempertimbangkan berbagai macam faktor, diantaranya tujuan pendidikan, karakteristik peserta didik, kondisi sekolah serta konteks sosial dan budaya.

Abstract

Along with the rapid development of information technology, the use of multimedia in the learning process is expected to improve the effectiveness and interactivity of delivering Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials. This study aims to analyze the learning patterns of multimedia-based Islamic Religious Education at SMK Muhammadiyah 8 Medan. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving teachers and students as the research subjects. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and relevant documentation, and were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques to provide a detailed description of multimedia application in PAI learning. The findings indicate that the use of multimedia in PAI learning not only enhances students' understanding of the material but also creates a more engaging and interactive learning atmosphere, in line with the needs of the digital generation. Furthermore, the role of the teacher as a facilitator becomes increasingly crucial in guiding students so that multimedia utilization remains oriented toward achieving learning objectives. This study implies that the integration of multimedia technology can serve as an effective strategy to improve the quality of PAI learning in vocational high schools

Abstract

Multicultural-based Islamic education innovation is a renewal of the learning process that emphasizes acceptance of the diversity of cultures, ethnicities, religions, and worldviews in society. This innovation includes not only the preparation of inclusive teaching materials, but also the application of interactive, reflective learning methods, and instilling the values of tolerance, justice, and peace according to Islamic teachings. This study aims to analyze the implementation of multicultural-based Islamic education innovations at SMA Negeri 1 Secanggang. The method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques to obtain descriptive data. The results showed that the implementation of this innovation has been running quite well through the integration of Islamic values rahmatan lil-'alamin by Islamic education teachers in learning activities. However, the limited variety of methods, the narrow perspective of some students, and the negative influence of social media are the main challenges. Solutions include educative and persuasive approaches by teachers, collaboration with parents, as well as training and the use of creative learning media. Evaluation of effectiveness was conducted through learning outcomes, observation, and attitude assessment covering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.
