Abstract

The shell and tube heat exchanger was a tool to exchange the heat energy between fluids with different temperatures that occurred through direct or indirect contact. The energy exchange in fluids could be occurred with the same phase (liquid to liquid or gas to gas) or two fluids with different phase. To date, the process of heat transfer in the industrial field was crucial in machine work. Therefore, there were studies directed to optimize and develop the function and thermal performance of a heat exchanger by adding Baffles to the side of the shell. Vortex flow that occurs with the addition of baffles will make the area of fluid contact in the shell with the tube wall larger, so the heat transfer between the two fluids will increase. This study aimed to obtain the efficiency of the heat exchanger and its effectiveness when put on parallel flow. The heat exchanger had the dimensions of 54.6 x 10-3 m in outer diameter and 22.4 x 10-3 m in inner diameter with a tube thickness of 3 mm. The variations on water flow from both fluids were 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 l/min for hot water and 1, 2, 3, 4 l/min for cold water to obtain the effectiveness of heat exchanger on parallel flow. This research heated the hot fluid in electric heating and used water as the cold fluid. The results showed that heat exchanger with single segmental baffle was more efficient in reducing heat in hot water than heat exchanger without bafe. The flow of fluid affected the average temperature difference; the higher the flow of fluid created a more significant temperature difference. The use of single segmental baffle affected the average temperature difference that was higher than without the baffle. The use of single segmental baffle also influenced the heat transfer greater than without baffle because of the longer distance travelled by the fluid on single segmental baffle with the same flow. Thus, the heat transfer process that occurred was more significant by using a single segmental baffle.

Abstract

Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) is the third generation solar cell that has sandwich structure consisted of organic dye material and other components such as titanium dioxide (TiO2) semiconductor, electrolyte, and substrates (counter electrode and working electrode). The dye in the device was made from green plant chlorophyll such as papaya. This research aimed to find the influence of dye concentration from papaya leaves chlorophyll on the performance of DSCC. The discussion covered the output power (Pout), Fill Factor (FF), and efficiency (ɳ). The method in this research was explorative experimental with independent variables such as direct and indirect sunlight. The dependent variables were output power (Pout), Fill Factor (FF), and efficiency (ɳ) from the DSSC. The procedures in this research consisted of substrates preparation, TiO2 paste production, dye solution preparation, electrolyte preparation, counter electrode preparation, and DSSC assembly. The tests on chlorophyll concentration were conducted using spectrophotometry method while the DSSC performance test used 1,000 W/cm2 halogen lamp. The results showed that 100% chlorophyll concentration resulted in 3.1295 mg/m3 chlorophyll content type a. The best DSSC performance was obtained by the DSSC sample that had 100% chlorophyll concentration and 1.1294 mg/m3 chlorophyll content. The direct light of DSSC achieved Pout of 0.9557 mW, FF of 0.07282, and efficiency of 1.499137%. The DSSC with indirect light obtained Pout of 0.00455 mW, FF of 0.01535, and efficiency of 0.049863%.

Abstract

Microalgae Spirulina sp which has been cultivated by the Brackishwater Aquaculture Development Center, Situbondo Indonesia were tested for their potential energy performance using proximate analyzer, SEM-EDX, and thermogravimetry. The proximate analyzer showed volatile matter (VM), fixed carbon (FC), moisture, ash content (AC), total sulfur of microalgae Spirulina sp 68.15, 12.57, 11.22, 8.06, and 0.67 (wt%, ar), respectively, and the gross calorific value (GCV) is 4971 kcal/kg (dry basis). SEM-EDX test showed the morphology and chemical content of Spirulina sp. The content of microalgae Spirulina sp is dominated by carbon (C) and oxygen (O), then followed by chlorine (Cl), sodium (Na), potassium (K), sulfur (S), magnesium (Mg), and phosphorus (P). Thermogravimetry pyrolysis test of microalgae Spirulina sp resulted thermogravimetry (TG) analysis and derivative thermogravimetry (DTG) analysis curve, which is divided into three different steps. The moisture of microalga Spirulina sp was vaporized at the first step, started at 27°C, and finished at 173°C with a decomposed mass of about 13.81% of the total initial mass. The second step began at the end of vaporize moisture at about 173°C and ended at around 618 °C. The gasification process occurred in volatile matter content and resulted mass loss of about 57.9% of Spirulina sp total mass. The last step showed the process of gasification of residual substances, started at the end of the volatile matter step, 618°C, and stopped at 995°C with a decomposed mass of 24.6% from total mass.

Abstract

Masalah pada struktur atau fungsi jantung yang dikenal sebagai Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) membuat jantung tidak mampu memasok oksigen ke seluruh tubuh. Pasien CHF sering kembali untuk rehospitalisasi karena kekambuhan. Sebagian besar kekambuhan CHF terjadi karena pasien tidak dapat melakukan terapi dengan tepat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kepatuhan minum obat dan kemungkinan pasien CHF untuk dirawat inap kembali di rumah sakit. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif cross-sectional dengan desain deskriptif analitik korelasional. Pengumpulan data menggunakan MMAS-8 untuk kepatuhan minum obat dan rekam medis atau kuesioner untuk rehospitalisasi. Populasi semua pasien CHF yang menjalani kontrol di klinik jantung. Pengambilan sampel non-probabilitas (purposive sampling) digunakan untuk mengumpulkan sebanyak 100 responden. Hasil uji Chi-square terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara kepatuhan minum obat dan kemungkinan terjadinya rawat inap ulang (p= 0,00). Diperlukan upaya peningkatan kepatuhan minum obat dalam memberikan tindakan preventif dan promotif mengenai kepatuhan minum obat pada pasien CHF dan adanya penelitian lebih lanjut terkait bagian tambahan yang mempengaruhi kepatuhan pengobatan pada pasien CHF, seperti dukungan keluarga.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh komplikasi penyakit kanker khususnya kolorektal yang menimbulkan berbagai dampak pada organ usus dan rektum. Berbagai dampak pada pasien kanker kolorektal adalah munculnya kecemasan, nyeri dan gangguan kualitas tidur. Penelitian ini ditujukan guna diketahui bagaimana tingkat kecemasan serta nyeri berkorelasi dengan kualitas tidur. Tumor ganas yang berasal dari jaringan epitel di usus dan rektum disebut kanker kolorektal. Ketakutan akan sesuatu yang diantisipasi bahaya dikenal sebagai kecemasan. Nyeri adalah rasa yang diterima oleh reseptor nyeri dan disertai dengan emosional. Kualitas tidur ialah kondisi yang mana tidur yang dialami seseorang memberi kebugaran serta kesegaran. Metode yang digunakan yakni analisis korelasional dengan desain cross sectional. Sebanyak 59 responden berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini melalui metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan mayoritas responden punya tingkat kecemasan berat sekali (59.3%) dengan rata-rata skor 41.69, sebagian besar responden memiliki nyeri sedang (71.2%) dengan rata-rata skor 6.24, dan hampir seluruhnya responden memiliki kualitas tidur buruk (78%) dengan rata-rata 6.31. Terdapat hubungan kemasan, nyeri dan kualitas tidur dengan hasil hampir seluruhnya (76.1%) dengan kecemasan berat sekali mempunyai kualitas tidur yang buruk (p = 0,000) dengan r = 0.642, dan sebagian besar (63%) dengan nyeri sedang mempunyai kualitas tidur yang buruk (p = 0,012) dengan r = 0.338. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, perlu adanya upaya penanganan terkait tingkat kecemasan dan tingkat nyeri dengan kualitas tidur pasien kanker kolorektal.

Abstract

Recognition of document based, and handwritten characters has recently emerged as highly relevant field of study in the field of digital image processing. The ability to read and write Lampung script is a crucial competency as it helps preserve the language, which is a part of Indonesian culture. This research utilizes data obtained from classified documents and handwritten samples, categorized into eight types. To recognize Lampung characters, deep convolutional neural network (DCNN) architecture is proposed. The novelty of this architecture lies in optimizing document-based and handwritten character recognition to achieve the best performance in terms of accuracy and execution time. The proposed architecture will be compared to principal component analysis (PCA) combined with support vector machine (SVM) to evaluate its results. Experimental results using the DCNN architecture show an average accuracy of 99.3% and an execution time of 283 seconds for all data, while PCA and SVM exhibit an average accuracy of 92.9%. Furthermore, the recognition results for all data from documents and handwritten samples yield satisfactory accuracy of 98.6%. These results make the DCNN architecture suitable for use in recognizing Lampung characters and are expected to make it easier for Lampung people to recognize Lampung character.

Abstract

The use of a corset is something that is done by post partum mothers both in normal delivery and sectio caesarea, where the corset can help the process of uterine involution and in post SC delivery can help reduce pain when mobilizing. To determine the Effectiveness of Using Corsets on Reducing Pain Scale in Post SC Patients. Research Methods: This research was experimental (quasi-experimental) with The Nonrandomized Control Group Pretest Posttest Design with a quantitative approach. In this study, it was divided into 2 groups: the control group did not use corsets while the intervention group used corsets. After that the researchers assessed the decrease in pain scale in post SC patients. The number of samples was 20 people. It is known that the average value of the statistical test results obtained a p value = 0.000 (<α 0.05), meaning that there is an Effectiveness of Using Corsets on Reducing Pain Scale in Post SC Patients at Eka Hospital, South Tangerang in 2022. Advice to health workers to be able to provide health education or information. to patient about wearing a corset as non farmacologic methode to reduce post caecarea pain.

Abstract

The lung disease diagnosis expert system utilizes human knowledge to diagnose various conditions affecting the lung. Diseases caused by fungal or bacterial infection in the organ can cause inflammation as well as death when it is not detected on time. A standard method to diagnose these conditions is the use of a chest X-ray (CXR), which requires careful examination of the image by an expert. In this study, several CNN and SVM architectural models were proposed to classify CXR images to diagnose whether a person has COVID-19, Viral Pneumonia, Bacterial Pneumonia, Tuberculosis (TB), and Normal. The experiment showed that InceptionV3 had the best results compared to other CNN architectures and SVM. Classification accuracy, precision, recall, and f1-score of CXR images for COVID-19, Viral Pneumonia, Bacterial Pneumonia, TB, and Normal were 0.86, 0.91, 0.91, and 0.91, respectively. This study was based on a deep learning system with different CNN and SVM architectures that can work well on the CXR images dataset for diagnosing lung disease.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh antusiasme masyarakat muslim Banjarmasin dalam membeli produk Crystal Bakery, yang menandakan ada variabel lain yang lebih dominan selain label halal dalam memengaruhi keputusan pembelian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh simultan dan parsial dari kualitas pelayanan, variasi produk dan citra merek terhadap keputusan pembelian masyarakat Banjarmasin di Crystal Bakery, serta untuk menentukan variabel yang paling dominan memengaruhi keputusan pembelian masyarakat Banjarmasin di Crystal Bakery. Penelitian ini ialah penelitian kuantitatif. Penetapan jumlah sampel didasarkan atas teori Lemeshow dengan menerapkan teknik purposive sampling sehingga didapati sampel sejumlah 70 responden. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan menyebarkan kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda, serta program komputer SPSS V.22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan variabel kualitas pelayanan, variasi produk dan citra merek memengaruhi keputusan pembelian secara positif dan signifikan. Secara parsial, kualitas pelayanan dan variasi produk tidak berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian. Citra merek berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian. Variabel yang paling dominan memengaruhi keputusan pembelian masyarakat Banjarmasin di Crystal Bakery adalah citra merek.

Abstract

Persalinan saat ini menjadi fenomena yang menakutkan dikalangan ibu, khususnya ibu hamil hal ini dikarenakan nyeri pada persalinan yang merupakan hal fisiologis yang dialami semua ibu bersalin. Salah satu upaya untuk menangani kala I memanjang saat proses persalinan dan mengurangi nyeri dapat dilakukan dengan metode nonfarmakologis. Salah satu metode nonfarmakologis yaitu dengan menggunakan teknik Rebozo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas Teknik Rebozo mengurangi rasa nyeri dan kemajuan persalinan pada ibu bersalin Di PMB Wilayah Kerja Kota Bandar Lampung.Jenis penelitian menggunakan kuantitatif, Desain penelitian quasy experiment, dengan rencana penelitian pretest and posttest with control group. Populasi dan sampel adalah ibu Hamil Di PMB Wilayah Kerja Kota Bandar Lampung sebanyak 25 ibu hamil TM 3 menggunakan teknik Total sampling. Penelitian dilakukan di PMB Wilayah Kerja Kota Bandar Lampung pada Bulan Agustus 2024. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Lembar Observasi Nyeri dan Lama persalinan dan SOP Teknik Rebozo dan Analisa data univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji T. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada efektifitas tehnik rebozo mengurangi rasa nyeri dan kemajuan persalinan pada ibu bersalin di Bidan Tiara Rica Dayani Dan Bidan Marlina Turnip dengan nilai p-value = 0,001 (<0,05). Diharapkan bidan di klinik dapat menggunakan Teknik Rebozo pada ibu bersalin untuk mempercepat lama kala I fase aktif dan menurunkan rasa nyeri sehingga dapat mencegah adanya komplikasi terutama partus lama
