Abstract

Nandung tradition, which originated in Rengat, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau, is a type of local wisdom that demands purpose and function, as well as value in character development as capital in local culture. The culture that is passed down from generation to generation can be used to extract local knowledge (local knowledge) and local wisdom (local wisdom) in overcoming various obstacles in the formation of character formation. The method utilized is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach, with the goal of describing the Nandung tradition in the Rengat community of Indragiri Hulu Riau as a character determinant. Because it contains the value of religious education, the value of moral education, and the value of social education, the Nandung tradition is full of values in moulding character, according to the conclusions of this studythe importance of social and cultural education, as well as psychological and religious principles The Nandung tradition's ideals of local wisdom are important in moulding the Rengat Indragiri Hulu community's character in conformity with Islamic law and Indragiri Hulu Malay culture.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education being one of the important fields in the world of Education, it is time to carefully consider individual learning experiences that are incorporated into the formal curriculum for teaching entrepreneurship. In this article, we use a case study approach to consider events hosted by Universitas Mitra Karya students as a university in a regional context and note the call for more entrepreneurs to develop socio-economic activities. Observations and interviews with student leaders and two other students and their architecture benefited from the university's preferred top-down approach to motivating students to become entrepreneurs, but was faced with grassroots backlash. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning berbasis multimedia terhadap hasil belajar IPA ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas IV. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan desain faktorial 2x2 atau treatment by level. Penelitian ini dilakukan di dua Sekolah Dasar, dengan dibagi menjadi dua kelas. Kelas pertama adalah kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning berbasis multimedia sementara kelas kedua yang merupakan kelas kontrol diberi perlakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan ekspositori. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPA siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning berbasis multimedia diperoleh hasil lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang belajar dengan pendekatan pembelajaran ekspositori. 2). Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPA siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi dengan siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah. 3). Terdapat interaksi antara pendekatan pembelajaran CTL berbasis multimedia dan pendekatan pembelajaran Ekspository terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis. 4). Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi yang belajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran CTL berbasis multimedia dengan yang belajar dengan pendekatan pembelajaran Ekspository. 5). Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah antara siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran CTL berbasis multimedia dengan yang belajar dengan pendekatan pembelajaran Ekspository.

Abstract

Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengembangkan produk berupa Historical tourism E-book Cultural Heritage Bandar Senapelan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu research and development atau dikenal juga dengan penelitian riset/desain dan pengembangan. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan mempelajari potensi dan masalah, kajian teoritis, dan kajian cultural heritage. Setelah itu dilakukan desain awal historical tourism e-book  dan validasi produk dengan para ahli serta dengan mahasiswa pendidikan Sejarah. Dari hasil validitas tersebut, peneliti melakukan perbaikan produk dan kemudian dilakukan uji coba historical tourism e-book  dengan Mahasiswa Pendidikan Sejarah. Hasil uji coba tersebut di evaluasi baik terhadap kualitas produk, dan juga efektifitas dalam meningkatkan kemampuan sadar budaya bagi mahasiswa . Adapun luaran penelitian ini yaitu historical tourism e-book  berbasis cultural heritage Bandar Senapelan dapat dianfaatkan sebagai alat untuk promosi wisata dan sebagai media pembelajaran Mata kuliah Pariwisata Sejarah di Universitas

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of fun learning and ice-breaking activities as effective strategies in enhancing the learning experience in educational settings. Fun learning, combined with ice-breaking techniques, aims to create an engaging and interactive classroom environment that promotes student participation and improves their understanding of the subject matter. The integration of these methods not only reduces anxiety and boredom but also fosters a positive attitude toward learning. By incorporating games, quizzes, and interactive activities, educators can capture students' attention, making complex concepts more accessible and enjoyable. Ice-breaking activities, in particular, are essential at the beginning of lessons to help students relax, build rapport, and encourage collaboration among peers. The study highlights the benefits of this approach, showing that students are more motivated and active in the learning process, leading to better academic outcomes. Moreover, fun learning and ice-breaking techniques cater to diverse learning styles, making education more inclusive and adaptable to different student needs. The findings suggest that adopting these methods can significantly enhance student engagement, retention of information, and overall academic performance. This study advocates for the broader application of fun learning and ice-breaking activities in various educational contexts to create a more dynamic and effective learning environment.

Abstract

The issue of plastic waste in Mekar Sari village has become an increasingly serious environmental concern, as the amount of plastic waste continues to rise alongside changes in lifestyle and consumption patterns of the community. Poorly managed plastic waste can pollute the environment and pose a threat to human health. Therefore, innovative solutions are needed through a program that utilizes plastic waste to create paving blocks. This program aims to reduce the negative impact of plastic waste on the environment and to enhance the skills and knowledge of the community in managing plastic waste, thereby increasing their economic value and well-being. The methods used in this service include observation, socialization, and training in the production of paving blocks from plastic waste for the local community. The results of this program show that the community of Mekar Sari Village has successfully utilized plastic waste, which was previously just garbage, into economically valuable products in the form of paving blocks. In addition, the community has become more aware of the importance of protecting the environment, as seen in their increased participation in various cleanliness and environmental preservation programs.

Abstract

This study explores the philosophical depth embedded in “Syair Surat Kapal,” a cultural artifact from Riau, Indonesia, celebrated for its en­chan­ting poetry and melodious rhythm. The research employs a quali­tative methodology within the framework of cultural studies to investigate the philosophy of Islamic Da’wah embodied in the manuscript. The objective of the study is to examine the impact of Islam on “Surat Kapal,” particularly within the context of the oral tradition of the Malay commu­nity in Rengat. It traces the influence of Islamic teachings on this commu­nity’s oral heritage. This study employs literature review and interviews with seven informants from Riau. The findings of this study underscore the significant role of “Surat Kapal” in shaping the Islamic identity within the community. The underlying philosophy of “Syair Surat Kapal” as a me­dium for Islamic da’wah is anchored in the belief that literature and poetry are potent mediums for disseminating religious teachings and fostering moral values. The vivid imagery and compelling narrative of the poem in the manuscript not only captivate the audience but also impart significant lessons about faith and belief in God. Consequently, “Syair Surat Kapal” exemplifies the power of literature in religious and cultural propagation within an academic context.

Abstract

Sistem informasi akademik pada SMP Negeri 12 Tebo saat ini masih dilakukan dengan carakonvensional salah satu contohnya adalah dalam penyampaian informasi jadwad pelajaran yang masihditempel manual dimading-mading yang sering robek atau hilang. Pengolahan data guru, data siswa, danpenyampaian rekap nilai kepada masing-masing wali kelas juga masih secara konvensional sehinggadibutuhkan sistem informasi yang dapat membantu dan memenuhi kebutuhan informasi bagi pihak sekolahseperti guru, siswa, admin maupun orang tua siswa. Dengan adanya masalah-masalah diatas dapatdisimpulkan bahwa sistem informasi akademik di SMP Negeri 12 Kabupaten Tebo memiliki beberapakelemahan diantaranya adalah : penyampaian informasi akademik dan kegiatan lain yang masih manual,penyampaian rekap nilai kepada masing-masing wali kelas dan juga penglahan data guru dan siswa masihmanual. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan dapat merancang sistem informasi yang dapat membantu danmemenuhi kebutuhan informasi bagi pihak sekolah. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, maka dilakukanlangkah-langkah yang terdiri dari tahapan perancangan menggunakan Diagram Konteks, Data FlowDiagram (DFD), Kamus Data, Database dan Prototype. Adapun hasil dari rancangan ini yaitu sisteminformasi akademik yang dapat membantu dalam penyampaian informasi kepada semua pihak sekolah

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of discovery learning models with audio-visual media on student learning outcomes and to examine differences in learning outcomes between students with high self-confidence compared to students with low self-confidence. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental involving 5th-grade elementary school students in the Natural Sciences subject. The results showed that the discovery learning model with audio-visual and games had a significant difference in overall science learning outcomes. There is a difference in student science learning outcomes between students with high self-confidence and students with low self-confidence.
