Abstract

This research discusses the application of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) model assisted by crossword puzzles to increase learning interest in history learning at XI SMAN 5 Tualang. The aim of this research is to determine the application of the NHT model, teacher and student activities, as well as increasing interest in learning with the help of crossword puzzles to increase interest in learning in class XI history learning at SMAN 5 Tualang. This research uses a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach where the research takes the form of action in the form of a series of activity cycles for students. By carrying out corrective actions using the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model, teacher activity can be increased with a percentage in cycle I of 52.50% in the quite good category, then increasing in cycle II to 91.25% in the very good category. Furthermore, by carrying out corrective actions by utilizing Numbered Head Together (NHT) it can increase the activities of class XI 5 students at SMA Negeri 5 Tualang. In the first cycle of student activities, the percentage was 51.87% in the good category, then it increased in the second cycle to 88.69% in the very good category. The use of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model can increase students' interest in learning with a percentage in the first cycle of 66.67% with the performance not being successful and increasing in the second cycle by 87.66%. This means that students' interest in learning has reached the success indicator, namely ≥75%

Abstract

Kemampuan  berbicara merupakan faktor penting  dalam  proses transfer ilmu di dunia pendidikan, keluarga maupun masyarakat. Penelitian  ini bertujuan menguji : (1)  hubungan minat/motivasi membaca dengan kemampuan  membaca; (2) kemahiran kosa kata  dengan kemmapuan bicara; (3) hubungan motivasi membaca,  kemahiran kosa kata  dengan  kemampuan  membaca. Metode  riset  ini memakai pendekatan kuantitaif  “ex post facto.” Populasi  dan sampel sejumlah 130 peserta didik.  Teknik analisis data memakai  analisis data regresi linier SPSS 20. Hasil riset  ini: (1) motivasi atau minat baca memiliki korelasi dengan kemampuan bicara siswa di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 006 Kelawat; (2) kemahiran kosa kata memiliki korelasi  dengan kemampuan bicara siswa  di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 006 Kelawat; (3) minat  baca dan kemahiran kosa kata memiliki hubungan baik dengan kemampuan  siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri 006 Kelawat. Rekomendasi penelitian ini dapat dilaksanakan penelitian dengan memakaifaktor-faktor yang  memengaruhi kemampuan/kemampuan bicara siswa, seperti faktor lingkungan dan metode pembelajaran yang baik

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat yang dipimpin oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) Universitas Riau (UNRI) melalui program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KUKERTA) berfokus pada pengenalan briket sebagai sumber energi alternatif kepada warga Desa Pulau Kijang. Karena keterbatasan akses informasi, masyarakat di sana memiliki pengetahuan yang minim tentang briket, sehingga pengenalan ini menjadi sangat penting. Proyek ini menggunakan metode edukasi masyarakat, dengan kegiatan utama seperti pengenalan briket selama MTQ ke-50 di Kecamatan Reteh dan seminar UKM yang diselenggarakan oleh KUKERTA UNRI. Respon masyarakat, yang dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner skala Likert, menunjukkan penerimaan yang umumnya positif terhadap briket sebagai inovasi. Namun, masih ada keraguan mengenai proses pembuatan briket itu sendiri. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa meskipun masyarakat terbuka dengan ide penggunaan briket, langkah lanjutan seperti pelatihan langsung sangat dibutuhkan untuk memberdayakan warga agar mampu memproduksi dan menggunakan briket secara mandiri. Pelatihan langsung ini sangat penting untuk mengatasi keraguan dan mendorong adopsi praktis briket sebagai sumber energi.

Abstract

Learning local content builds national character, because it pays attention to environmental characteristics and local culture. This study aims to determine the application of character education to students based on local wisdom in the Riau Malay learning process. This research is ethnographic and qualitative with the principal, 7 class teachers, and students as subjects. The research instrument consists of observation, interviews, documentation. The results of this study have been carried out well based on local wisdom in Malay culture learning at SDN 183 Pekanbaru including being religious, honest, disciplined, social care, responsibility, environmental care, independent and respectful.

Abstract

This study examined the influence of teachers' perceptions of management, principals' leadership styles, and teachers' work motivation on the implementation of school-based management in Batang Gansal. This study focuses more on teachers' perceptions and provides a more comprehensive perspective. Multiple regression analysis was employed to test the relationship between the variables. The results demonstrate that effective management influences can enhance principals' performance and expedite the implementation of school-based management. This research contributes to a more nuanced understanding of the factors that influence the successful implementation of school-based management. In other words, the findings of this research can be used to enhance the quality of education in Batang Gansal.

Abstract

This research explores the Islamic philosophy embedded in the cultural traditions of the Bengkalis people. The research was motivated by the need to understand the unique Islamic perspective of the Bengkalis people and how it affects their way of life. The research methodology used in this study is qualitative, with the data collection process conducted through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The participants in this study were members of the Bengkalis community and the data analysis process involved identifying key themes and patterns that emerged from the data collected. The study found that the cultural traditions of the Bengkalis community are deeply rooted in Islamic philosophy, which is reflected in their daily practices, beliefs and values. The community's strong adherence to Islamic principles has helped shape their way of life, as well as their social and economic structure. So the findings of this research are "Baraan" Research reveals that Eid-Fitr in Bengkalis, Riau, is a religious tradition that is an important part of Islamic philosophy. This tradition is seen as a reflection of the values of sincerity, solidarity and unity of Muslims in Bengkalis. Abstract

The Malay community of Pekanbaru Riau still holds traditions that originate from of the values of Islam which is the main religion. The tradition of Lampu Colok is still carried out today with a plug lamp which has its own meaning for the Malay community every 27 Ramadan (night of Lailad al Godt) or often called the night of 7 Likur ahead of Eid al-Fitr. The purpose of this research is to find out the current tradition of the traditional light bulb at the festival in order to survive in the midst of the times with a qualitative approach. The tradition of the lampu colok originated from a story passed down from generation to generation that in the month of Ramadan one must turn on the lamp or there must be lighting. The lampu colok tradition in the Pekanbaru Malay community has various values which include mutual cooperation, economics, social culture, norms and morals, cooperation, beauty, kinship so that it creates a culture of religiosity in the community and can maintain or maintain this lampu colok tradition.

Abstract

Parents who have a high level of education tend to understand more and think that education is very important for their children, so they prioritize education for their children. In addition, the way to educate children tends to be different between parents who have a high level of education and those with low education. The aim of this study is to analyze the parental role to improve literacy skills on students. This study is qualitative research with the subject is parents of students, moreover the Interview will be the instrument and data collection of this study. However, data collection of this using interview with survey method to get data from participants. However, data triangulation is data analyzing method for this study. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The population is 134 people, using a tolerance level of 5%, it can be seen that the number of samples in this study were 100 parents. The result found that Online learning is inseparable from problems that are obstacles in its literacy skills of elementary students, including online learning for elementary school students such as limited telecommunication networks. It is important to know the barriers for parents to assist their children to improve their literacy skills in online learning, solutions and projections of online learning for elementary school students.in conclusion, role of parents could take responsibility of their children in improving literacy skills through online learning for elementary school.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze 1) the effect of principal leadership on student learning achievement, 2) the effect of teacher professionalism on student learning achievement, and 3) the effect of principal leadership and teacher professionalism on student learning achievement of SD Negeri 001 Japura. This study used a quantitative approach of correlational type with the independent variables being principal leadership and teacher professionalism, while the dependent variable was student learning achievement. This research was conducted on teachers and high-grade students of SD Negeri 001 Japura with a population of 20 teachers and 100 students. The samples used were all teachers and 20 students. The results of the simple regression equation research are 1) principal leadership has an insignificant effect on student learning achievement by 0.04%, 2) teacher professionalism has a significant effect on student learning achievement by 2.2%. The results of multiple regression equations, namely principal leadership and teacher professionalism, have an insignificant effect on student learning achievement by 2.7%, meaning that 97.3% is influenced by other factors. Thus, the overall effect of principal leadership and teacher expertise on student learning outcomes in Mathematics

Abstract

The phenomenon that occurred in the MotoGP event that took place in Mandalika stole the attention of the national and international public for the action of the rain handlers who were invited to the event. This research is descriptive qualitative research using interview instruments as a data collection tool, key informants taken using purposive sampling are individuals who have knowledge in the fields of cultural studies and anthropology, in addition, the criteria of key informants are individuals who have a description of the rain handler and never witnessed the process of stopping the rain. The results found explain that the rain handler ritual is not only found in Indonesia, but in various countries with certain callings, even so, there are many polemics and contra that occur in society that relate to certain religious aspects, however, cultural studies have also observed if The local wisdom of the rain handler has become part of Indonesia, because every region in Indonesia still maintains and is even still carrying out the process of stopping rain, this is also still true in some Malay areas such as Siak Regency. Thus, the cultural wealth that still survives should be part of the culture and must be preserved, so that the original Indonesian culture will not become extinct.
