Abstract

The issue of missing values in the scholarship selection process poses a challenge that can impact decision-making. This study aims to perform data imputation for scholarship candidate datasets using the K-Means method and evaluate its performance using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE). K-Means was selected for its ability to group data based on pattern similarities, enabling it to estimate missing values in the scholarship candidate dataset. Two datasets were utilized in this study: one with 10% missing data and another with 20%. The results indicate that K-Means imputation can effectively apply to scholarship candidate data. Additionally, the findings reveal that the proportion of missing data influences the optimal number of clusters required. For the dataset with 10% missing data, the best configuration was achieved with 5 clusters, resulting in a MAPE of 13%. Conversely, for the dataset with 20% missing data, the optimal configuration required 2 clusters, yielding a MAPE of 14%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal eye aspect ratio (EAR) for a prototype capable of using computer vision techniques to detect driver sleepiness based on eyelid size changes. The prototype, developed with Raspberry Pi and OpenCV, provides a real-time evaluation of the driver's level of alertness. The prototype can accurately determine the onset of sleepiness by monitoring and detecting instances of prolonged eyelid closure. Due to the fact that the eye aspect ratios of different individuals vary in size, the system's accuracy may be compromised. For the first experiment, the research focuses on determining the optimal EAR threshold of the proposed prototype using a sample of 20 participants ranging in age from 20 to 30, 31 to 40, and 41 to 50 years old. The study also examines the effects of various environmental conditions, such as dark or nighttime settings and the use of spectacle. The optimal EAR threshold value, as dedicated by the first experiment, is 0.225 after testing 20 participants with and without eyeglasses in low and bright lighting and 7 participants with a 0.225 EAR threshold in dark and bright lighting environments. The result shows 100% precision.

Abstract

Abstract - The use of mosque audio systems as daily necessities, ensuring the message can be heard clearly, having a pleasant experience, and the congregation is more comfortable lingering while walking. People in Indonesia are accustomed to calling the type of audio system intended for mosques by calling one brand, even though this is the name of a loudspeaker manufacturing company that focuses on audio systems for public spaces, and in fact there are many other similar manufacturers, and this audio system is called Public Address (PA). This study aims to prove the type of PA, maintenance, problems, and handling of audio system problems that are often faced in the mosque environment. The research method used is descriptive qualitative which describes a phenomenon that occurs in the mosque environment, with data collection through questionnaires, and aims to verify existing knowledge and assess its validity. The results obtained from the distribution of a population of 200 mosques, resulted in 93,1% of mosques using the same PA manufacturer brand, but the satisfaction level was only 47,2%. The influencing factors are that 60% of the takmir/congregation are only users, and the average age of the takmir/congregation is 50 years and above or an age that is no longer productive and more protective of new technology. This study also discusses proposals for the development of PA in the future that can especially in active amplifiers (Self-applified) using decentralized rules which are distributed on ready nodes (speakers) with the aim of adaptability to room acoustics.

Abstract

User privacy while browsing the internet has become a major concern, especially with the presence of the private mode feature in browsers, which is claimed to protect personal data. This study analyzes the extent to which private mode in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers can safeguard personal data using the standard approach from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Four simulation scenarios were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of private mode in preventing user information from being stored. The research findings indicate that although private mode successfully prevents the storage of browsing history and user data on the hard disk, sensitive information such as accounts and passwords can still be accessed in memory (RAM) under certain conditions. These findings suggest that private mode is not entirely secure in protecting user privacy, particularly against attacks that exploit temporary data in RAM. The implications of this study highlight the need for further development in private mode security, both by browser developers and users who seek to enhance their personal data protection. This study also recommends additional strategies to be implemented more effectively in order to reduce the risk of data leakage when using private mode.
