Abstract

Health knowledge is a fundamental factor in maintaining the well-being of individuals and communities. Women play a central role as agents of change in promoting healthy lifestyle behaviors. This activity aims to conduct online health education to improve women's health knowledge. The educational intervention was conducted online, covering topics such as healthy lifestyles, women's roles, and the creation of a healthy generation, accompanied by pretests and posttests to assess changes in knowledge. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge scores, from an average of 3.94 to 4.76 after the intervention (p < 0.05). Online education offers advantages such as ease of access, time flexibility, and empowerment potential for women who often carry dual roles in both family and community settings. However, challenges remain, including internet access limitations and the lack of face-to-face interaction. Online health education has proven effective in enhancing women's health knowledge and should be further developed through improved technical infrastructure and diverse educational content to ensure sustainable long-term impact.

Abstract

Penyakit jantung merupakan penyebab utama kematian di seluruh dunia, sehingga deteksi dini sangat penting untuk meningkatkan harapan hidup pasien. Dengan kemajuan teknologi data mining dan machine learning, prediksi penyakit jantung dapat dilakukan lebih akurat. Penelitian ini membandingkan kinerja prediksi model Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, Random Forest, K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), dan Support Vector Machine (SVM) dalam mendeteksi penyakit jantung menggunakan UCI Heart Disease Dataset. Teknik feature selection—Filter Method, Wrapper Method (RFE), dan Embedded Method—diterapkan untuk meningkatkan akurasi prediksi dan mengurangi kompleksitas model. Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa SVM mencapai akurasi tertinggi sebesar 91,2%, diikuti Random Forest dengan 90,7%. Penggunaan feature selection terbukti meningkatkan kinerja model secara signifikan dengan mengurangi dimensi data dan menghindari overfitting. Temuan ini menunjukkan efektivitas SVM dan Random Forest dalam pengembangan sistem prediksi penyakit jantung yang efisien di lingkungan klinis. Abstract

Haystack is Facebook's unique way of managing large amounts of user-generated content like photos. The architecture prioritizes performance, reliability, and scalability to overcome network-attached storage system bottlenecks. Haystack speeds data access and ensures data integrity during hardware failures by using physical and logical volumes. This study examines the architecture of Facebook's Haystack data storage system and its effects on scalability and efficiency in handling large photo data. According to the study, the store, directory, and cache functions work together to reduce input/output (I/O) operations and improve metadata processing, which traditional network-attached storage systems cannot do. Haystack manages massive photo data storage and retrieval, solving network-attached storage (NAS) limitations. It balances throughput and latency by minimizing disk operations and optimizing metadata processing. Each store, directory, and cache contribute to this ecosystem. The Haystack architecture reduces disk operations and metadata processing bottlenecks with distributed caching. A cache allows instant access to frequently requested images and balances read and write operations across the system. We should study advanced storage system architectures based on Facebook's Haystack architecture. This could involve investigating faster metadata processing algorithms, using artificial intelligence (AI) to improve fault detection and repair systems, and assessing the economic impact of distributed caches.

Abstract

Penggunaan listrik yang tidak aman dan boros masih menjadi tantangan utama di masyarakat urban. Pemahaman akan keselamatan dalam penggunaan Listrik sehari-hari yang masih minim menjadi penyebab utamanya. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan solusi yang konkrit untuk menyelesaikan masalah tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat tentang bahaya listrik serta praktik hemat energi melalui pendekatan edukatif. Sosialisasi dilakukan secara langsung kepada siswa SD dengan materi visual dan demonstratif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap risiko listrik dan adopsi perilaku hemat energi. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi model edukasi preventif yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain.

Abstract

Browsers have become essential applications in digital life alongside the advancement of internet technology. However, users’ low awareness of privacy security during web browsing can lead to the risk of data theft by malicious parties. This study analyzes digital traces in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox using a digital forensic approach based on the standards of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The method involves four testing scenarios to compare digital traces in storage media (hard drive) and RAM between normal and private/incognito browsing modes. The objective of this research is to validate and evaluate previous findings conducted on the Linux operating system, using a different approach within a Windows environment. The experiment uses the same digital forensic tools to ensure data accuracy. This study contributes to the advancement of browser forensics by presenting a validated and reproducible framework for memory-based privacy evaluation, thereby supporting more accurate and systematic analysis of digital traces.

Abstract

This study introduces a simple dead-time control signal for the non-isolated synchronous buck DC-DC converter, incorporated alongside maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for a stand-alone photovoltaic (PV) system. Dead-time control in non-isolated DC-DC converters is challenging due to difficulties in accurately sensing and predicting errors, especially during the transition between switching modes. The introduction of the dead-time control method resulted in optimal efficiency for the stand-alone PV system. The dead-time control was implemented in the hardware prototype using a bootstrap technique. Power generation from the PV module was optimized through the DC converter's implementation of an improved perturb and observe (P&O) MPPT approach. According to the results, the proposed design achieved an overall system efficiency of 80%. Moreover, the enhanced P&O MPPT algorithm prototype was observed to produce a maximum output power of 60 W.

Abstract

The inefficient use of electrical energy and office facilities often leads to waste, equipment damage, and potential workplace hazards. This community service program focused on educating employees to use electricity and office facilities in a safe and efficient manner. The objectives were to raise awareness of safety and efficiency, reduce energy consumption and the risk of facility damage, and enhance professionalism in the use of office equipment. The program was implemented through an interactive online workshop via Zoom, consisting of a pre-test, delivery of materials and practical sessions on five key indicators (electrical devices, computers, air conditioners, lighting, and electrical panels), a post-test, and reflective discussions. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in participants’ understanding, as indicated by higher average post-test scores compared to pre-test results. Moreover, participants were able to identify risks of improper electricity use and apply energy-saving strategies. This activity successfully fostered a safer, more efficient, and professional work environment. In the future, further programs are needed to monitor work behavior, strengthen internal policies, and integrate energy-saving technologies to ensure the sustainability of these positive impacts.

Abstract

The review explores the development of advanced power converter topologies and control strategies for high-power fast-charging systems in electric vehicles (EVs). Fast-charging systems are crucial for EV charging infrastructure, requiring intricate design considerations and optimization procedures. Understanding hierarchical control systems and exploring power converter topologies and control technologies is essential for efficient and reliable charging. EV fast-charging systems evaluate the effectiveness of various topologies with power converters, optimizing efficiency and performance. Control strategies are crucial for the efficient and sustainable operation of fast-charging infrastructure for EVs. Integrating these strategies into fast-charging systems improves charging efficiency and grid stability, contributing to the sustainable development of EV technologies. In conclusion, the review of power converters and controls for fast-charging electric vehicles is crucial for sustainable transportation infrastructure. Fast charging technology for EVs is advancing rapidly, enhancing charging performance and promoting sustainable transportation. Innovative charger designs and control techniques are crucial for efficient charging. However, the review acknowledges limitations due to the evolving landscape of fast-charging infrastructure and the complexities of grid integration. Future research should focus on overcoming challenges, advancing technologies, and integrating renewable energy sources, energy storage solutions, and grid connectivity. This will contribute to the widespread adoption of electric mobility.

Abstract

The acoustics of mosques present significant challenges due to their substantial spatial dimensions, highly reflective surfaces, and intricate architectural designs. These characteristics frequently compromise the clarity of sound, which is imperative for religious activities such as sermons and prayers. Despite global advancements in audio technology, centralized sound systems remain the most common choice in many mosques worldwide. However, this approach frequently results in issues such as uneven sound distribution, acoustic dead zones, and excessive reverberation. These factors significantly impact speech intelligibility and overall listener comfort. To address this critical issue, this study presents a systematic literature review spanning from 2003 to 2025. This research also incorporates an initial empirical survey conducted on 77 mosques in Indonesia to provide real-world validation. The survey results empirically corroborated the theoretical problems, revealing that 65% of respondents considered the sound unclear, and less than 50% expressed satisfaction with the current audio system. In light of these findings, the present paper puts forth an integrated optimization framework centered on speaker zoning. The framework synthesizes insights from acoustic engineering, psychoacoustics, and predictive modeling to create a holistic, data-driven solution. The model outlined herein provides a procedural framework for future research endeavors, emphasizing the utilization of professional acoustic simulation tools to achieve uniform sound distribution and high speech intelligibility. This methodological approach guarantees that the acoustic solutions are not only scientifically valid but also user-centric and relevant to the congregation's needs.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of telemedicine and wearable health devices has intensified the demand for energy-efficient and adaptable embedded systems capable of supporting real-time, reliable remote health monitoring. This review provides a comprehensive survey of reconfigurable embedded platforms—focusing on field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), coarse-grained reconfigurable arrays (CGRAs), and heterogeneous system-on-chips (SoCs)—deployed for monitoring critical physiological parameters such as electrocardiogram (ECG), oxygen saturation (SpO₂), and body temperature. We analyze co-design methodologies that integrate artificial intelligence (AI-driven) neural accelerators, quantization strategies, and runtime adaptability to address the competing requirements of low power consumption, data integrity, and latency minimization in diverse telemedicine contexts. The paper highlights the strengths and limitations of conventional versus reconfigurable approaches, reviews case studies in wearable and implantable health devices, and underscores key design trade-offs in performance, scalability, and security. By systematically mapping current innovations and identifying unresolved challenges—including standardization, clinical validation, and secure edge integration—this review positions reconfigurable architectures as a cornerstone for next-generation, patient-centric remote health monitoring. Future directions emphasize AI-enabled adaptability, sustainable and carbon-aware device design, and personalized healthcare through adaptive embedded systems, charting a pathway toward scalable and resilient telemedicine ecosystems.
